Definitions

  • the invention relates to a vehicle lamp with a plurality of light bulbs, which are electrically conductively connected by cable to a multiple plug connection arranged on the lamp housing, the contact parts made of sheet metal strips in the central region have a fastening device and on which one end section is designed as a flam plug with which the contact parts are inserted into slot-shaped openings in the luminaire housing and are arranged in a row with their width in one or more planes at a distance from one another, while at the other end section for insulation-free connection of the cables they have an insulation displacement device which consists of two clamping jaws formed by a slot, which Penetrate the insulation of the cable when it is pressed into the slot and make electrical contact between the cable core and the contact part.
  • the slot of the insulation displacement device is open towards the free end of the throat plug and the bending line of the bent flag runs in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the contact part. It is useful if the flag is bent at a right angle to the tab. With such a contact part, the insulation of the cable can be cut simultaneously with the insertion of the tab into the slot-shaped opening of the lamp housing.
  • the angled flag of the contact parts is guided by two wall-shaped projections which run parallel to one another and extend counter to the insertion direction of the contact parts and which have a longitudinal slot which opens counter to the insertion direction of the contact part and in the base of which the cable rests.
  • the cable core contacted after cutting the insulation through the jaws with the contact part and at least one longitudinal slot of the two wall-shaped projections is so narrow at its bottom that it clamps the inserted cable between them.
  • the cables are securely held in the longitudinal slots of the wall-shaped projections until the contact parts are inserted into the slot-shaped openings in the lamp housing.
  • the two wall-shaped projections are connected to one another on one of the two narrow longitudinal sides by a third wall and this third wall also forms a boundary for the contact tab. This prevents unwanted springing open and deformation of the two clamping jaws when the cable insulation is cut.
  • the tab of the contact part is doubled by folding the sheet metal strip and the folded section has a locking lug pointing towards the insulation displacement device, which engages behind the edge of the slot-shaped opening of the lamp housing after the contact part has been inserted.
  • the contact parts are self-locking after being inserted into the slot-shaped openings in the lamp housing.
  • Another advantage is when the double Flat plug is produced by folding the two lateral sections of the contact part by two bending lines running parallel to one another and in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the flat plug.
  • the bending lines of the folds and the bending line of the bent flag can run transversely to the rolling direction, so that the contact part has a high strength.
  • the drawing shows a partial view of the lamp housing 1 of a vehicle lamp, the light bulbs, not shown, are electrically conductively connected via cable 2 to a multiple plug connection.
  • the multiple plug connection consists of a plurality of contact parts 3 made of sheet metal strips, which have a flat plug 4 at one end section and a clamping cutting device 5 with the other end section.
  • the flat connectors 4 are doubled by folding the lateral sections 6 of the contact part and two bending lines running parallel to one another and in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the flat connector 4.
  • the folded sections 6 form a tongue which points towards the insulation displacement device 5 and is bent outwards and serves as a latching lug 7.
  • the other end portion of the contact part 3 has a projecting flag 8, which is bent at right angles to the flat plug.
  • the slot 15, which creates the clamping jaws of the insulation displacement device 5, is introduced into the flag 8.
  • the slot 15 runs in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the contact part 3 and is open towards the free end of the tab 4.
  • the bending line of the bent flag 8 runs in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the contact part 3.
  • the contact parts 3 can be inserted with their tabs 4 into slot-shaped openings 9 of the lamp housing 1.
  • the slot-shaped openings 9 are designed in accordance with the cross section of the flat plug 4 and are closely lined up in their longitudinal direction.
  • the contact parts 3 are arranged with their tabs 4 alternately rotated by 180 ° about their longitudinal axis in the slot-shaped openings 9 of the lamp housing.
  • the flags 8 are guided between two parallel wall-shaped projections 10 of the lamp housing 1, and the end face of the flag 8 slides along a third wall 11 connecting the two walls 10.
  • the walls 10 have longitudinal slots 12 that open against the direction of insertion of the contact part.
  • the longitudinal slots 12 are so narrow at the bottom that they clamp an inserted cable 2 between them.
  • the clamping jaws of the insulation displacement device 5 cut the insulation of the cable 2 and make contact with the core of the cable 2 in the end position of the contact part 3 the edge of a slot-shaped opening 9 of the luminaire housing 1.
  • the light bulb sockets 12 and the contact strips 13 contacting the center pole of the light bulbs have an insulation displacement device 14 for cables.
  • Such a vehicle lamp is advantageous to mass-produce, since in a first step the cables are inserted into the longitudinal slots of the lamp housing and in a second step with the insertion of the bulb holder of the contact strips contacting the center pole of the lamp and the contact parts of the multiple connector an electrically conductive one Connection to the core of the respective cable is established.
