Definitions

  • the invention relates to a kidney protection belt, in particular a kidney protection belt to be worn as an outer belt according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • kidney protection belts There are basically two types of kidney protection belts for two-wheelers.
  • inner or stretch belts which are mostly worn under protective clothing and mainly consist of an elastically stretchable stretch material.
  • outer straps which are mostly worn over protective clothing and mostly consist of leather or synthetic leather and have a widened back part that represents the area of the kidney protection belt that protects the kidneys.
  • the side facing the body and in particular the back part of these kidney protection belts is often covered with a heat-insulating lining material.
  • the term “outer belt” is intended to summarize all such kidney belts which have a widened protective part for the kidneys.
  • kidney protection belts A problem that has so far been solved unsatisfactorily with such kidney protection belts is the length adjustment.
  • the closure elements are slidably arranged on loops.
  • the kidney belt is designed to overlap in the closure area, so that the body of the wearer is completely enclosed in every set length condition.
  • This has the disadvantage that the loops with the closure elements protrude when the kidney protection belt is set short and that the kidney protection belt also tends to bulge in this area due to the overlap in the closure area.
  • there is a different visual impression which is not desirable due to aesthetic considerations.
  • such outer belts are generally available in retail in sizes or lengths of 5 cm. This may make it necessary for a motorcyclist to need a smaller kidney belt size in summer than in the cooler seasons, autumn, spring and winter, when he is still wearing thick pieces of clothing such as pullovers under leather protective clothing.
  • the size and length variability of stretch and inner belts is definitely greater than that of outer belts, since the entire stretch belt is made of stretch material.
  • the stretch material must be sufficiently stiff to prevent the stretch belt from collapsing in width, there are limits to the length variability, so that several sizes are necessary to cover the different body sizes of the different wearers of kidney protection belts.
  • kidney protection belt in training as an outer belt, which is available in a significantly reduced number of sizes without impairing the visual appearance and can be worn by people with widely differing physiques and under different conditions.
  • the structural elements that shape the optical appearance of the outer belt can be changed independently of the elements that determine the length or size variability.
  • the visual appearance always remains the same.
  • the thermal insulation effect or the air permeability and thus the Protective effect of the kidney belt is determined by the more difficult to stretch or inextensible sections and by the back part and thus also independent of the length of the kidney belt.
  • kidney protection belt With the kidney protection belt according to the invention, it is thus possible to cover the entire size or length range of approximately 60 to 120 cm with only two or three sizes. In this way, the stocking of kidney protection belts of different sizes can be significantly reduced, which means considerable cost savings.
  • the closure elements also advantageously do not have to be adjustable, so that no loops can protrude from the kidney protection belt and the closure of the same always comes to rest on the same part of the body.
  • the need for an overlapping protective kidney belt in the closure area is also no longer present.
  • kidney protection belts cannot be achieved with conventional stretch material; Even kidney protection belts made entirely from such stretch material only have an elastic reserve that is just sufficient from one intermediate size to another at a distance of 5 cm.
  • An elastic reserve bridging between sizes can only be achieved with material that is considerably more flexible than conventional stretch material.
  • Such a material cannot be placed under tension in the width required for kidney protection belts without forming longitudinal folds and thus losing its protective function in the required width.
  • the protective function in the area still covered would suffer from the fact that such soft-elastic material becomes correspondingly more open meshed when it is stretched so that it can hardly make any significant contribution to the required thermal insulation.
  • the teaching according to the invention therefore presupposes that the elastic reserve is only provided in the stretchable sections where no protective function of the stretchable sections is required, namely in the back part which is already fully protective in the kidneys.
  • the invention thus creates an outer belt which is identical in appearance to conventional outer belts, which in turn considerably increases acceptance by the buyer. This also helps that the handling does not change compared to conventional outer belts.
  • the embodiment according to claim 2 has a manufacturing advantage, since between two conventional, difficult to stretch sections in the form of side parts, only a stretch section has to be used, which then comes to rest in the interior of the sleeve gap.
  • the easily stretchable section is formed from a plurality of differently designed expansion parts, there are considerably more degrees of freedom for the functional design of the kidney protection belt.
  • the adaptation of the kidney protection belt to different body contours of the wearer can thus be optimized.
  • the easily stretchable section in the sleeve gap of the back part to at least one of the cover parts, it is prevented that the back part moves in the longitudinal direction of the belt and thus cannot optimally protect the kidneys.
  • the type of attachment can influence the expansion characteristics across the width of the easily stretchable section. For example, fastening seams running towards each other at an angle upwards mean that the kidney protection belt is easier to stretch in the area of the hip bones and the buttocks than in the area above.
  • an offset fastening of the individual expansion parts of the easily stretchable section can also absorb forces and com pens that, due to the natural body shape of the wearer deviating from an ideal column or roller, act not only in the longitudinal direction, but also at an angle to it. Different fastening characteristics across the width of the easily stretchable section can also be achieved by appropriately fastening the individual expansion parts in the flat sleeve.
  • the number of "integrable" sizes into a single kidney protection belt can be expanded again, since elastically stretchable parts are provided in both flat sleeves connected by a central piece.
  • the protective effect is in no way impaired in this form of training, since the two flat sleeves come to rest over the two kidneys of the wearer.
  • the kidney protection belt 1 according to a first embodiment, as shown in the expanded state in FIG. 1, has an easily stretchable section in the form of a single expansion part 2.
  • the expansion part 2 connects two more difficult to stretch or inextensible elongated side parts 3 and 4, at the free ends of which closure elements 5 are attached.
  • a sleeve-like back part 6 has two cover parts 8 and 9 delimiting a sleeve gap 7.
  • the part of the outer belt consisting of the two side parts 3 and 4 and the expansion part 2 extends through the interior of the sleeve gap 7 in such a way that the two side parts 3 and 4 extend like tongues from slit-shaped stomata 10 and 11 on opposite edges of the back part 6.
  • FIG. 2 represents a section through the area marked A in FIG. 1.
  • the expansion part 2 is fastened to at least one of the cover parts 8 or 9. If the fastening seams 12, which converge downwards at an angle, as shown in FIG. 1, the lower region, ie the region of the kidney belt 1 closest to the buttocks of the wearer, can be expanded further than the upper region of the kidney belt 1.
  • An adaptation of the protective kidney belt 1 to the enlarged body circumference in the region of the hip bones and the buttocks of the wearer can thus be achieved in a simple manner.
  • the length of the expansion part 2 is dimensioned such that it does not extend from the stomata 10 and 11 even at maximum extent.
  • the sections which are more difficult to stretch or a left and a right side part 21 and 22 are not directly connected via a single expansion part, but are connected to left and right elastic expansion parts 23 and 24 by means of corresponding fastening means 25 the back part 26 connected in the form of a flat sleeve.
  • a kidney protection belt 40 as shown in Fig. 4, has more difficult to stretch sections in the form of left and right side parts 41 and 42, the closure elements extending from the lateral stomata 43 and 44 of a flat sleeve designed as a back part 45 ends 5 have.
  • the side parts 41 and 42 are connected to individual, differently long and / or differently elastic expansion parts 47 to 52 with at least one cover part 53, 54 of the back part 45.
  • the kidney belt 40 can be adapted to different body contours and body sizes.
  • FIG. 5 A fourth embodiment of a kidney protection belt 60 according to the invention is shown in FIG. 5.
  • a hard-to-stretch left and right side part 61 and 62 inside two back parts 63 and 64 are each connected via a single expansion part 66 to a middle part 67 made of heavy or inextensible material.
  • the expansion parts 65 and 66 which are designed as stretchable sections, are connected to the back parts 63 and 64 in the same manner as in the embodiment of the kidney protective belt 1 according to FIG. 1 is the case.
  • the back parts 63 and 64 of the kidney protection belt 60 are arranged such that they come to rest over the left and right kidneys of the wearer.
  • the provision of two back parts 63 and 64, which enclose two easily stretchable sections 65 and 66, further increases the number of sizes or lengths that can be covered with a single kidney protection belt.
  • the elastically stretchable sections 65 and 66 can also be formed analogously to the embodiments according to FIGS. 3 and 4. This fourth embodiment is particularly suitable for motorcyclists with a large body.
  • the described exemplary embodiments relate primarily to so-called outer belts, but it is readily possible to construct so-called inner or stretch belts in a completely analogous manner.
  • the material for the side parts or for the flat sleeves would preferably be a stretch material which is very difficult to stretch, which also prevents such a stretch belt from folding, and for the stretch parts one would use very easily stretchable stretch material.
  • all materials can be used that are also used for the production of conventional kidney protection belts.
  • All known variants of closure systems such as Velcro, hook, snap, loop fastener and in particular the one-hand closure can be used, as is known from DE-U 8 324 510.
  • the sides of the back parts that lie on the body of the wearer can also be made in a known manner from particularly heat-insulating material, such as Fur, occupy.
