Definitions

  • the invention relates to a folding box according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the pouring spout consists of a flap cut out of the folding box wall on three sides, on the inside of which a U-shaped molded part is fastened, which forms the flap side walls, which are formed on the edges by cutting out the The pouring flap protrudes into the folding box and is pulled out of the folding box when the pouring flap is unfolded.
  • the molded part also replaces the pouring flap, wherein it is fastened by means of clip-shaped fastening elements in the relevant carton wall, which at the same time form the joint of the pouring spout.
  • the folding box or its cut so that the folding box side wall is formed in one piece on the cut with a locking lug arranged on it, so that the multiple pieces and the associated disadvantages are eliminated.
  • a folding box is described in FR-A-2 312 419.
  • the pouring flap is located in the upper region of the folding box end wall, the hinge axis of the pouring flap lying in the left vertical box edge and the horizontal flap side wall being located on the underside of the box top wall.
  • the pouring opening is located in a box end wall part, which is located behind an outer end wall part containing the pouring flap, the size of the opening being dimensioned substantially smaller than the size of the pouring flap and the pouring opening being arranged in the region of the corner of the pouring flap, which is itself and the flap side wall is limited.
  • the upper edge of the inner box end wall part forms a guide for the flap side wall in this known embodiment.
  • This guide is formed by a cardboard edge, which is located in the plane of the pouring opening.
  • the flap side wall can be damaged or bent, for example in a position in which it impairs the pouring opening, before its closing movement or when closed, for example due to the closing pressure to which it is subjected when closing.
  • the pouring out of the filling material is impaired, at least in the case of a pouring flap which is only slightly opened for the purpose of dispensing.
  • damage to the flap side wall or a locking lug arranged thereon inevitably leads to malfunctions of the bulk flap if bulk material gets behind the bent flap side wall.
  • the invention is based on the object of designing a folding box of the type specified in such a way that handling when opening and closing the pouring flap is facilitated and the guidance of the pouring flap is improved.
  • the above-described defects are avoided by at least partially guiding the flap side wall or a locking attachment arranged thereon.
  • the guidance according to the invention ensures that the flap side wall is kept straight.
  • the features contained in claim 6 improve the adaptability of the flap side wall in that the extension strip can pivot relative to the flap side wall and thus can adapt to the guide or the adjacent folding box wall. This is particularly important in the case of a pouring spout that can be folded around a pivot axis that is not at right angles to the guide or to the adjacent side of the folding box.
  • the guide strip according to the invention can be both a separate guide part which is attached, in particular glued, to the folding box wall which is also involved in the guide (claim 8), or it can also be a guide part starting from the folding box blank, as described in claims 9 to 19 is described.
  • the guide parts are integral parts of the folding box blank.
  • the guidance can be realized both by deep embossed sections, in which the guided part surrounds, and by folded sections. In the first case, it is also possible within the scope of the invention to provide the deeply embossed section on the guided part, namely the flap side wall or the locking projection.
  • the claim 16 includes an embodiment in which a mechanism is integrated in the guide, due to which the pouring spout is elastically acted upon and thus held from a central position both in the direction of the closed position and the open position.
  • the embodiment according to claim 20 is too in such cases in which the flap side wall is cut out of the folding box wall that contains the pouring flap.
  • the opening creates an opening which is covered by the outer wall.
  • the opening of the filler flap is ensured by an opening in the outer wall through which the filler flap can be swung out.
  • a tear-open opening can also be provided, the opening of which is weakened by a perforation or the like. Is glued to the pouring flap, so that when the tear-open cut-out is partially torn and at the same time pivoted, the pouring flap is also pivoted out.
  • the opening that can be torn open is to be dimensioned so large that the pouring flap fits through.
  • the pull-out cutout is preferably dimensioned somewhat longer than the pouring flap, so that the free end of the pull-out cutout forms a stop in the closed position which limits the closed position of the pouring flap.
  • an end section as the wall part containing the pouring flap is required in order to be able to attach the extensions according to the invention in one piece.
  • both triangular and square-shaped pouring flaps can be realized.
  • material can be saved and the guiding problem is reduced due to the fact that only one flap side wall is present.
  • flap side walls of the bulk flaps can be advantageous for handling reasons or also for functional reasons, e.g. then when the folding box has to be held in a special position when spilling out due to the limited space.
  • the design according to the invention also facilitates the pouring out of the remaining content.
  • the design according to claim 30 results in a small projection at the free end of the tear-open cutout, by which the handling when tearing is facilitated because the free end can be easily attacked.
  • the additional adhesive strip section can also form a first and second extension in the sense of claims 5 to 19.
  • the embodiment according to the invention can also be used in connection with an inner lining formed, for example, by an inner bag, which can advantageously form the guide of the at least one flap side wall according to claim 34.
  • FIGS. 1 to 36 Each embodiment shows a folding box designed according to the invention in four views, namely the folding box in perspective and with the pouring flap closed, the folding box in perspective and with the pouring flap open, an enlarged view of the folding box in the area of the closed dump flap in a partially broken and perspective view and the cutting of the folding box.
  • the invention is implemented on a rectangular folding box 1 with a wide front wall 2 and wide rear wall 3, narrow side walls 4, 5, a box bottom 6 and a box lid 7.
  • the vertical edges of the folding box 1 are 9 to 12 and the horizontal ones Edges on the box lid 7 are designated 13 to 16, the edges 13 and 15 being short edges, while the edges 14 and 16 are long edges.
  • the folding box 1 has in the usual way an adhesive strip 17 which extends from the rear wall 3 below the side wall 4 and is glued to the side wall 4.
  • the box bottom 6 and the box lid 7 are formed in the usual way by lid and dust flaps 18, 19 which run along the horizontal Edges are connected to the respective box walls.
  • the box blank is weakened along the vertical box edges 9 to 12 by fold lines 21 to 24 and along the horizontal box edges 13 to 16 by fold lines 25, 26 to facilitate folding of the blank.
  • the folding box 1 has on its visible side wall 4 in the upper region a pouring spout 25 which - as can best be seen from FIG. 4 - consists of a pouring flap 26 with a flap side wall 27 and a tearable cutout 28 in the visible side wall 4.
  • the pouring spout 25 can be pivoted out about a pivot axis generally designated 31, whereby a pouring opening 32 having a triangular cross section is formed, which is delimited by the pouring flap 26, the flap side wall 27 and the pouring opening edge designated 33.
  • the pivoting out can be easily achieved because the pouring flap 26 along the pouring opening edge 33 by a dividing line 34 and along the pivot axis 31 by a joint line 35 and the cutout 28 along the pouring opening edge 33 by a perforation 36 and along the pivot axis 31 also by means of a joint line 37 are prepared.
  • the cutout 28 is separated by a dividing line along the vertical edge of the box 10 or the fold line 21.
  • the pivoting out of the flap 26 can thus be achieved by a simple handle, the flap side wall 27, which extends on the inside of the front wall 2 and rests on it by material tension, being partially pulled out.
  • the flap side wall 27 represents a first extension 39 of the adhesive strip 17, which is cut out from a second extension 41 to form cutouts 42, 43 and dividing lines 44, 45. Both extensions 39, 41 are connected to the adhesive strips 17 along a fold line 46 and angled about this fold line 46, wherein they extend along the inside of the front wall 2.
  • the second extension 41 has a wall section 47 which is deeply embossed in the direction of the interior of the folding box 1 by a dimension which is preferably larger than the thickness of the blank. This creates a guide, generally designated 48, between the wall section 47 and the front wall 2 for a locking projection 49 of the flap side wall 27, into which the locking projection 49 slides when the pouring spout 25 is pivoted out.
  • the locking projection 49 is a projection projecting radially with respect to the pivot axis 31 on the flap side wall 27 or on an extension strip 51 of the flap side wall 27, which is connected to the flap side wall 27 along a fold or hinge line 52.
  • the hinge line 52 intersects the fold line 46 and the pivot axis 31 in a common intersection 53.
  • the purpose of the guide 48 is to ensure that the flap side wall 27 essentially maintains its position on the inside of the front wall 2 and does not protrude into the interior of the folding box 1. In the closed position of the pouring spout 25, the flap side wall 27 is not positively guided, but because of the material tension present in the carton, the flap side wall 27 is in contact with the front wall 2 due to the bending.
  • the extension strip 51 of the flap side wall 27 is due to its connection to the flap side wall 27 through the hinge line 52 flat against the front wall 2, although the flap side wall 27 lifts slightly from the inside of the front wall 2 when the pouring spout 25 is pivoted out due to the inclined pivot axis.
  • the embodiment described above is suitable for folding boxes 1 both without and with an inner lining, not shown, for. B. in the form of a bag to hold the contents of the box.
  • the flap side wall 27 extends between the contents of the box, e.g. B. a granular filling, or the lining, wherein the side pressure exerted by the box contents on the flap side wall 27 also contributes to the abutment of the flap side wall 27 on the inside of the front wall 2.
  • the locking lug 49 is thus in a position in which it is able to retract into the guide 48 without problems when the pouring spout 25 is pivoted out.
  • the locking projection 49 strikes from the inside against the side wall 4, as a result of which the pivoting-out movement of the pouring spout 25 is limited.
  • the upper edge 50 of the flap side wall 27 is curved in a circular arc around the intersection 53.
  • the deep-drawn wall section 47 has not only a guiding function, but also a protective function for a possibly existing inner lining, which consists in protecting a thin, sensitive inner lining against wear in the area of the edge of the locking projection 49.
  • the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 8 differs from the one described above in that the guide 48 is formed by a third extension 56, which starts from the second extension 41 and is connected on the side facing away from the adhesive strip 17 along a fold line 57 to the second extension 41 and is folded around the fold line 57 against the inside of the second extension 41.
  • the free end of the third extension 56 extends right up to the adhesive strip 17.
  • the third extension 56 performs a sealing function in addition to its guiding function, which is particularly important in the case of an inclined course of the pivot axis 31, because the flap side wall 27 runs in such a way lifts slightly from the front wall 2 in the open position of the pouring spout 25 and therefore a crack is formed on the upper edge of the flap side wall 27, through which the contents of the folding box 1 can escape if there is no inner lining.
  • the free end of the third extension 56 covers the above-described crack, so that the seal against the filling material is ensured even in the absence of an inner lining.
  • the second extension 41 likewise has a deeply embossed wall section 58, but in this case the wall section 58 is preferably deeply embossed toward the front wall 2, ie outwards. This creates an additional guide area 59.
  • the additional guide 59 and the deeply embossed wall section 58 are not necessary design features.
  • the exemplary embodiment is also fully functional if the second extension 41 were cut free up to the lines 61, which represent the upper boundary of the deep-drawn region, specifically because of the guide 48 formed by the folded-in third extension 56.
  • the third exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 9 to 12 corresponds in principle to the second exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 8. It differs only in that the third extension, designated 66 here, on the side of the second extension 41 facing the box cover 7 along a fold line 67 connected to the second extension 41 and folded over this fold line.
  • the third extension 66 could also be connected to the second extension 41 on the opposite side thereof.
  • the flap side wall 27 is sealed at its upper edge because the extension 66 extends up to the adhesive strip 17. This embodiment is therefore also suitable both for folding boxes 1 with and without an inner lining.
  • the guide 48 is formed by a third extension 71 which is connected along a fold line 72 to the second extension 41 on its side facing the box bottom 6.
  • the extension strip 51 of the flap side wall 27 extends as a web 73 beyond the fold line 72 into the third extension 71, namely by an angle a.
  • the web 73 is connected to the third extension 71 along an articulated line 74.
  • the lateral boundary edges of the web 73 run in a circular arc around the intersection 53, but do not have to be designed in this way be.
  • the web 73 has two articulation lines, namely the articulated line 74 described above and an articulation line 75 which lies in the fold line 72 in the closed position of the pouring spout 25.
  • the angular dimension a corresponds to approximately half of the opening angle b of the pouring spout 25. Due to this configuration, the web section 76 extending between the articulated lines 74, 75 is pivoted by 180 ° between the articulated line and the open position of the pouring spout 25, whereby it moves between the second and third extension 41, 71 transversely and spreads. This has to overcome a certain elastic resistance when opening and closing the pouring spout 25, which results in a mechanism by which the filling spout 25 is biased into its end positions (closed position or open position).
  • edge section 58 causing the above-described clamping action could also be deeply embossed in the direction of the interior of the folding box 1. It is also advantageous to allow the deep-drawn area in front of the locking projection 49 to end in the open position of the pouring spout 25, as is indicated by lines 77 in FIGS. 7 and 8. In this embodiment, a clamping effect is generated in the open position of the pouring flap 25.
  • the guide 48 is formed by a plug-in tab 78 which runs along a fold line 79 with that of the rear wall 3 outgoing cover flap 18 is connected.
  • the wall section containing the pouring flap 26 is not the actual adhesive strip, which is designated here by 80, but an additional wall part 81, which is connected along a fold line 82 to the side wall 4 containing the tearable cutout 28, on the end facing away from the front wall 2.
  • the wall part 81 is folded around the fold line 82 against the inside of the side wall 4, the pouring flap 26 and the tearable cutout 28 being in register.
  • the wall part 81 carries the second extension 41, from which the first extension 39 forming the flap side wall 27 is cut out.
  • FIGS. 25 to 28 corresponds in principle to the previously described exemplary embodiments.
  • this embodiment there is an inner lining, not shown, which replaces a guide designated by 48 in the above-described embodiments.
  • the inner lining is attached at least in places to the inner wall of the folding box walls, here the front wall 2. Sealing of the resulting gap on the upper edge of the flap side wall 27 in the open position is not provided.
  • the filler 25 borders either with its free end or with a longitudinal edge on an edge of the folding box 1 (see FIGS. 1 to 4)
  • the adhesive strip 17 is widened by an amount o with its usual width m, which is used for the overlap between the filler flap 26 and the tearable cutout 28, 93 containing edge section is required.
