Abstract

Winding device characterized in that it enables to fabricate coils of which the supports or formers are substantially deprived of rigidity. The device comprises an element (1) for fixing the non-rigid support (2) during the whole winding operation. In order to make said operation possible, an element (4) called system is axially displaced with respect to the synchronously fed coil and in the same direction as the mechanism of which the arm (5) winds the wire to be wound (3) around the non-rigid support (2), said system (4) having two parts (6 and 7) covering the wound portion on two of its opposite large faces so that the last turn or turns made during fabrication are at least covered on the width of the non-rigid support (2). To prevent the coil from vibrating during manufacturing between the two parts (6 and 7) of the system (4) while the non-rigid support (2) is acted upon by the tension of the wire to be wound (3) of which the direction is turning, there is provided to mount on one of the two parts (6 or 7) of the system (4) a solenoid (8) through which is circulated an electric current thereby forming an electromagnetic capable of attracting thereagainst the non-rigid support (2) which is supposedly made with a material sensitive to a magnetic field.

Claims (7)

1. Winding device comprising a system (4) able to render substantially non flexible the portion of a non rigid coil support sollicitated by the tensions made on it by the wire (3) to be wound and the support (2) section of which at this location substantially in the same plan than the one of the turn being wound during manufacture; characterized by the fact that the system (4) comprises a part (7) located on one side of the support (2) separated from it by a distance at least equal to the diameter of the wire (3) to be wound; by the fact that the system (4) is displaced in an axial movement with respect to the coil the average speed of which is equal to and has the same direction as the one of the mechanism (5) the function of which is to wind the wire to be wound around the support (2), so that the non rigid support (2) is maintained by the said system (4) on whole its wound length up to subtantially in the plan of the coil being formed.
2. Winding device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the system (4) has a second part (6, 7) opposed to part (7) with respect to the support (2) and separated by a distance just greater than the thickness of the coil.
3. Winding device according to claim 2, characterized by the fact, that each of the two parts (6, 7) of the system (4) works alternatively the one after the other supporting the support (2) in a continuous manner at each successive location sollicitated by the tension of the wire (3) during the whole winding operation.
4. Winding device according to claims 1, 2 and 3, characterized by the fact, that one (7) of the two parts (6, 7) of the system (4) is surrounded by a solenoid (8) intended to be fed by an electric current transforming thus this part into an electro-magnet able to attract the metallic support (2) and to avoid any oscillation of said latter.

Winding device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that one (7) of the two parts (6, 7) of the system (4) is surrounded by a solenoid (8)-intended to be fed by an electric current transforming thus this part into an electro-magnet able to attract the metallic support (2) and to avoid any oscillation of said latter, the electro-magnetic force acting on said support being sufficiently great to oppose to any displacement of said support under the effect of the tension of the wire (3) even when said tension force is applied on the opposite side of part (7) surrounded by the solenoid.
6. Winding device according to one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, characterized by the fact that the system (4) and the mechanism (5) the function of which is to wind the wire (3) to be wound around its support (2) are fixed whereas the support of the coil (2) is displaced in an axial movement.
7. Winding device according to one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, characterized by the fact that the mechanism (5) carrying the wire (3) to be wound is fixed, whereas the system (4) and the support (2) revolve together, the latter having on top its rotation movement an axial movement with respect to the coil.
