Abstract

Beim Betrieb von Doppelbandstranggießkokillen, ins­ besondere mit unter Druck stehender Metallschmelze wie Stahlschmelze, muß dafür Sorge getragen werden, daß die den Kokillenraum (1) bildenden endlosen Gießbänder (2, 3) und Seitendämme (4) gegeneinander abgedichtet sind.
Zu diesem Zweck wird der Vorschlag unterbreitet, jedes Gießband (2 bzw. 3) im Eintrittsbereich des Kokillenraums (1) mittels eins Stützträgers und diesem nachfolgender Eintritts-­ Stützwalzen (12) federnd im Bereich der Seitendämme (4) und des Kokillenraums (1) bzw. lediglich in dessen Bereich zu unterstützen. Auch die den federnden Eintritts-Stützwalzen (12) nachfolgenden starren Stützwalzen (13) weisen Stüt­ zabschnitte (12a) mit balliger Außenkontur (12c) auf, die kürzer sind als die Breite (B) des Kokillenraums (1). Neben den Stützabschnitten der Eintritts-Stützwalzen (12) sind im Bereich der Seitendämme an den Gießbändern (2 bzw. 3) anliegende Stützschienen (10) angeordnet.
