Definitions

  • the invention relates to a track section of a flexible carriageway with a cylindrical projection extending in the direction of travel as coupling elements on one end face perpendicular to the track section plane and with a pair of claws arranged on the end face facing away from the projection for latching reception of the projection of an adjacent track section and with edge-side guide elements.
  • Such a track section for a flexible roadway known from GB-A-2 039 456, has a cylindrical projection as coupling elements on one end face and a socket on the other end face for the pluggable reception of the pin of an adjacent track section.
  • a predetermined axial alignment and assignment of the web sections is required for these web sections, which is often not recognized by the playing child.
  • a predetermined assignment of the track sections during coupling operations is unnecessary due to the arrangement of a pin and a pan on each end face thereof.
  • a cumbersome axial alignment of adjacent track sections remains necessary.
  • this track section only allows the formation of lanes with less vertical and horizontal stability.
  • this object is achieved in that a projection and a pair of claws are arranged at the same distance from the center of the web section on each end face, that an essentially wedge-shaped nose protrudes from the projections in the direction of travel, that an extension space adjoins the receiving space between the pairs of claws , whose clear width transverse to the direction of travel is smaller than the diameter of the projection and that the nose has a widened bottom-side foot that engages under the extension space.
  • the wedge-shaped lugs act as centering bodies at the start of the plug-in processes and improve the horizontal stability when the roadway is bent by supporting them on the side surfaces of the extension space, while the widened base-side foot by stability against the underside boundary surfaces of the extension space enlarged in the vertical.
  • the nose and the extension space are preferably formed continuously up to the top of the carriageway.
  • the receiving space between the claws of a pair of claws corresponds to an elongated hole in the direction of travel, the width dimension of which is slightly larger than the width of the projection to form a free play transverse to the direction of travel.
  • each claw can be separated from the rest of the area on the side facing away from the receiving space by a slot in the direction of travel.
  • the track sections are provided with a guiding device, which is formed by substantially cuboidal guiding posts projecting upwards from the top of the carriageway, from the front end of which a guiding tongue protrudes substantially horizontally in the driving direction and on whose other end face in the direction of travel is provided for receiving the guide tongue of the adjacent track section, the overall dimension of the guide post and guide tongue in the direction of travel substantially corresponds to the overall dimension of the track section in the direction of travel, and the dimension of the guide post in the direction of travel approximately, but at least half Overall dimension of the track section corresponds to the direction of travel.
  • guide posts and guide tongues form an essentially equally high contiguous edge in any pivoting state, which can also be used as a guide device in the manner of tracks for railways or the like with a suitable track width.
  • the configuration according to the invention also enables one-piece training, in particular as a molded plastic part in a wide variety of colors, which also stimulates design pleasure through different colors.
  • each track section 2 is constructed from individual track sections 2, which are all of the same design and which can be plugged together and pivoted relative to one another.
  • the structure of each track section 2 is explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4.
  • the flexible lane 1 constructed with the aid of such lane sections 2 can be pivoted both horizontally and vertically thereto, the lane sections furthermore being able to be pushed together or pulled apart to a certain extent in the direction of travel, for example in the direction of arrow 3 or in the opposite direction to arrow 3, whereby a length compensation is possible, in particular when finalizing an entire constructed roadway.
  • a track section 2 of the type used in the flexible track 1 according to FIG. 1 is explained in more detail below.
  • each half of the lane has a coupling device 5, a guiding device 6 and a guiding device 7.
  • the coupling device 5, guiding device 6 and guiding device 7 are of the same design for each half of the lane and preferably, as in the exemplary embodiment shown, one the vertical axis 8 going through the center of the road 4 is point symmetrical.
  • the intersection 9 of the vertical axis 8 and the center of the carriageway 4 is preferably exactly in the middle of the track section 2 both in and transversely to the direction of travel 3.
  • the coupling device 5 has a projection 11, which projects away on an end face 10 of the track section 2 in the direction of travel 3 (or against the direction of travel 3) and is essentially cylindrical in the vertical direction. Furthermore, a complementary locking element 12 is formed on the end 13 facing away from the projection 11 of the roadway half in question of the track section 2.
  • the latching element consists of two hook-like claws 14 projecting counter to the direction of travel 3 (or in the direction of travel 3), the outer ends 15 of which point towards one another.
  • the hook-shaped claws 14 define between them a receiving space 16 which is designed in accordance with an elongated hole and in which the cylindrical projection 11 of an adjacent track section 2 can be received in a latching manner.
  • a wedge-shaped nose 17, which has a widened base 18 on the bottom, protrudes in the direction of travel 3 (or counter to the direction of travel 3).
  • the receiving space 16 between the two hook-shaped claws 14 is extended rearward essentially cuboid to receive the nose 17, this extension space 19 being narrower transversely to the direction of travel 3 than the width of the projection 11.
  • the space around the extension space 19 is so expanded that the foot 18 can reach under.
  • the dimensioning is therefore expedient so that a projection 11 can only be latched in the receiving space 16, but even if the nose 17 should have broken off, it cannot penetrate into the extension space 19 provided for it.
  • slots 20 and 21 are provided, one of which, together with the receiving space 16, defines one of the hook-shaped claws 14.
  • the slots 21 of both halves of the lane assigned to the center of the lane 4 are essentially on the middle of the lane 4 such that the pivot points of adjacent lane section 2 which are locked into one another are arranged very close, but at a distance from the middle of the lane 4 and symmetrically thereto.
  • protrusion 11, nose 17 as well as receiving space 16 and extension space 19 lie on alignment lines 22 parallel to center 4 of roadway.
  • the guide device 6 of each lane half is by a tongue 23 projecting in the direction of travel 3 (or against the direction of travel 3) from one of the end faces, here in the region of the end face 13, and a corresponding recess provided in the other end face, here the end face 10 24 formed.
  • the tongue 23 protrudes away in the manner of an arrow head, the recess 24 is designed in accordance with a vertical V-groove, so that in the top view (FIG. 4) the region 26 having the tongue 23 and the recess 24 near the side edge 25 is essentially angled is.
  • This angular configuration is underlined by the fact that 26 transverse grooves 27 are provided transversely to the direction of travel 3 in this area. These transverse grooves 27 improve the grip of a toy vehicle on the top 28 of the carriageway, which is roughened in the other areas.
  • Each half of the track section has a lower surface than the top 28 of the track 29 on the side on which the tongue 23 protrudes, and on the floor-side free space 30 on the other side having the recess 24.
  • the lower surface 29 extends from the center 4 of the roadway or the edge surface of the slot 21 lying on the other half of the roadway and has a transition step 31 to the top 28 of the roadway, from which the tongue 23 protrudes. As shown, the tongue 23 can protrude upward from the lower surface 29.
  • the free space 30 is defined by a surface 32 parallel to the top 28 of the carriageway and a transition step 33 to the bottom 34 and also starts from the center 4 of the carriageway or the vertical surface of the slot 21 assigned to the other carriageway half.
  • a web 35 is provided between the projection 11 provided in the area of the free space 30 and the transition step 33 for stabilizing the position and increasing the strength of the projection 11.
  • the web 35 does not have to - as shown - protrude to the bottom side 34, it can be shorter.
  • a tongue 23 engages in a recess 24 and engages over the parallel surface 32, which defines the free space 30, the corresponding lower surface 29, from which the tongue 23 protrudes, in such a way that an essential contact does not take place, but the intervention or overlapping takes place essentially flush.
  • both track sections 2 lie in the horizontal plane, the distance between the parallel surface 32 and the lower surface 29 defines the extent to which pivoting in the vertical direction is possible, together with the position of the projection within that between the two hook-shaped claws 14 formed slot-like receiving space 16. d. that is, if adjacent path sections are pushed very closely together, the slightest vertical pivoting is possible, if the adjacent path sections are pulled apart as far as possible (without releasing the locking engagement), the pivoting in the vertical direction is maximum.
  • the course of the transition stages 31, 33 is determined so that these with the greatest mutual pivoting of two adjacent track sections, d. that is, when adjacent web pieces 2 abut each other in the region of the side edge 25, and in the most collapsed state, ie when the projection closest to this side edge 25 is inserted as far as possible in the complementary receiving space 16 assigned to it, on the respective opposite end face 10 or lie approximately flush or only release a small gap, as a result of which in this case, in the narrowest radius of a curve, an almost continuous driving surface is achieved through the merging tops 28 of adjacent track sections 2, as is indicated in the upper half of FIG. 1 .
  • the guide device 7 is also provided on the side edge 25 of the web section 2.
  • an approximately cuboidal guide post 36 protrudes vertically upward from the side edge 25 in such a way that one side 37 is aligned with the end face 10 of the track piece, while the side 38 assigned to the other end face is approximately in the middle of the distance between the both end faces 10 and 13 runs.
  • a guide tongue 39 projects substantially horizontally from the side 38 of the guide post 36, while in the area of the other side 37 of the guide post 36 a corresponding complementary recess 40 is provided, which is used to receive the guide tongue 39 of the adjacent track section 2 is provided (see FIG. 1).
  • the recess is formed by a slot which is formed in the mentioned side 37 of the guide post 36 and the inside 41, while the outside 42 is continuous.
  • the guide post 36 as can be seen in particular from FIG. 3, has an inner cavity 43 which, for manufacturing reasons, extends from the bottom side 34 into the region of the recess 40. In this cavity 43, connecting pieces or the like can advantageously be inserted if an elevation of the roadway formed by the track sections is desired.
  • the outer side 44 of the guide tongue 39 is offset from the outer side 42 of the guide post 36 by the area which essentially corresponds to the wall thickness of the guide post 36 in the area of the inner cavity 43 or the recess 40.
  • the guide devices 7 assigned to the two halves of the web section are also formed point-symmetrically to the intersection 9 or to the vertical axis 8.
  • the web piece 2 is designed as a one-piece molded plastic part.
  • recesses 45 are provided in the bottom side, recesses 46 in the bottom portion of the projection, and a further recess 47 in the middle of the web section, for reasons of shaping.
  • the guide post likewise has material omissions 49 in the region of the opening sections of the recess 40 on the upper side 48, while the inside 50 of the guide tongue 39 is essentially flush with the inside 41, so that when the guide tongue is pushed together, it engages from above is clearly recognizable in the recess.
  • Each track section formed in this way is substantially rectangular in plan, is in very twist or kink-resistant in all spatial directions, and in fact essentially the same in both directions in each plane.
  • the strength of a track section 2 is therefore extremely high.
  • only the wedge-shaped nose 17 and the guide tongue 39 project as comparatively easily damaged parts.
  • the foot 18 greatly increases the stability of the wedge-shaped nose 17, but the cylindrical projection 11 which is essential for the latching is arranged in a protected manner and is present in any case, even if the nose 17 should have broken off with the foot 18.
  • Such a track section 2 can also be used. If the guide tongue 39 is broken off or at least damaged, the track section 2 is still fully usable. Even if one of the claws 14 should have broken off, which will obviously only occur exceptionally, the track section 2 can continue to be used, since two catches are provided according to the invention.
  • a roadway for toy vehicles can be built, even for preschool children, which is very stable and robust, whereby toy vehicles corresponding to the age of the playing child can be used, for example also remote-controlled, but also only Toy vehicles set in motion on an inclined plane or even just pushable.
  • a roadway can be set up and dismantled extremely quickly, and in the case of a new structure complete flexible roadways 1 consisting of many track sections 2 can also be strung together without major problems if the point-symmetrical design of the track sections 2 is used.
  • 2 different colors can be selected for the web pieces, which also results in a changing, colorful structure.
