Da die Stütze 19 schräg zum Deck angeordnet ist, bewirkt ein Verkürzen des Verstellzylinders 22, was von der Brücke aus eingeleitet werden kann, nicht nur ein Verschwenken der Längsträger 13, 14 um den Gelenkpunkt 31 einer decksfesten Konsole 32, sondern auch eine Verschiebung des unteren Endes der Stütze 19 auf dem Deck, welche zu diesem Zweck eine Rolle aufweisen kann.
