Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a crusher intended to fragment stones of too large dimensions.
  • the first way is to collect the stones and bring them together in a "scree"; which can be done by hand, according to the ancestral method or using mechanized means.
  • the second way consists, after having eliminated the very large stones, to reduce in gravel from 2 to 4cm in diameter, the soft stones of average dimensions using mechanized shredders implemented by a tractor.
  • the first type is represented by fairly bulky equipment intended for public works and not suitable for agricultural work.
  • the second kind is represented by machines, extrapolated from brushcutters, equipped with mobile hammers, to avoid jamming, driven in rotation at high speed in order to keep the hammers in the working position: which leads to fairly considerable inertia effects which cause the deterioration of the PTO and pose problems of balance.
  • This invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
  • This invention as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of defining a method and creating a device with which the stoning of very stony agricultural land can be carried out effectively under advantageous conditions compared to existing equipment.
  • the method of progressive fragmentation of stones according to the invention consists in causing the stones to grow by the rotor, during the displacement of the latter, in forcing said stones to remain under the frame, against the rotor, upstream from the anvil; until a sufficient fractionation is obtained, by nibbling, to allow their rejection backwards by passage between the hammers and drive by the successive rows of these.
  • the progressive fragmentation stone crusher allowing the implementation of the process described above, is mainly characterized in that the hammers constitute parallelepipeds, the height of which represents approximately one third of the length, which are welded to the rotor by tangent to that -this at their rear lower edge with respect to the direction of rotation of the rotor, in that the anvil consists of a square steel section, one of the sides of which is arranged parallel to the ground, in that the chassis consists of two torsion bars, connected by crosspieces, supported by two rails and in that the sides of the box integral with the chassis inside which the rotor is mounted are provided with spacers.
  • the upper front edge of the hammers is reinforced by an addition or a tungsten carbide pellet.
  • the spacers arranged on the sides of the box, consist of flanges forming pads, tapered on the front, arranged at right angles to the bottom of the box and connected to the top of the latter by means of metal plates forming housing for transmission.
  • the chassis 1 is made integral with the three-point attachments 2 of the tractor by means of rails 3 and that the chassis 1 supports a box 4, provided with a cover 5, to the interior of which is mounted, by means of bearings 6, adjustable in height by a notch 7 and lights 8, a rotor 9 at the periphery of which are fixed by welding rows of hammers 10 arranged in staggered rows.
  • the rotor 9 is rotated by a longitudinal shaft 11, connected to the power take-off of the tractor, a bevel gear 12, a transverse shaft 13, pulleys 14 and 15 and belts 16.
  • the anvil 17 is mounted across the chassis 1, in front of the rotor 9.
  • the hammers 10 are fixed by a weld bead 21, to the rotor 9 so as to tangent the rotor at their rear lower edge 10a, while the upper front edge 10b is reinforced by an addition of tungsten carbide 22
  • the spacers consist of flanges 23, forming pads and tapered on the front, connected by a metal plate 24 to the upper part of the box in order to constitute a protective casing for the transmission.
  • the rotor 9 taking into account its direction of rotation and its mass, pushes before it, during its movement, the large stones which it progressively fragments using the hammers 10, since the anvil 17, which the hammers come close to, forces the stones to remain under the frame, all the time that their splitting is not sufficient for them to be thrown back from above, passing between the hammers 10 and being driven by the successive rows thereof, arranged in staggered rows.
  • the chains 18 and the deck 19 oppose the projections.
  • the cover 5 arranged at the top of the box 4 provides access to the hammers 10 to check their condition and reload them if necessary.
  • the notch 7 and the lights 8 allow, after loosening the bolts fixing the bearings 6 to the housing 4, to vary the vertical position thereof by action on the crank 25 which ensures, through the nut 26, the screw 27 and the plate 28 forming the slide, the precise movement of the bearings 16 relative to the grooves 29 forming the slide. It is thus easy to obtain, for example, a space of a few centimeters between the ground and the end of the hammers 10.
  • the stone crusher according to the invention is intended mainly for stone removal from fields, but it can also be used to fragment stones in quarries at constant level or, by reducing the width of its rotor, to dig trenches in particularly stony places.
