Claims (16)

1. Device for exchanging a numbering and impression device provided with a numbering shaft for mounting digit units with related inking unit in printing machines for another numbering and impression device mounted on a further numbering shaft by means of a swivel device which swivels around a horizontal pivot axis running parallel to the numbering shaft axle,
characterised by the fact
that both of the interchanged numbering and impression devices (2) are each assigned a swivel device (20, 60, 76) which is mounted on a slide frame (34) of the printing machine (1) and can be moved lengthwise on slide (28), whereby the latter has a length which is dimensioned for simultaneously accomodating three swivel devices (20, 60, 76).
2. Device according to Claim 1
characterised by the fact
that the swivel device (20, 60, 76) is designed as gripper elements (21, 22, 61, 62, 78, 80) attached to a crossbar (27, 63) and accomodating the left and right axle journals (24) of the numbering shaft (35), with the crossbar (27, 63) forming the pivot axis are mounted on the slide (28) running parallel to the numbering axle shaft (70) and can be moved lengthwise along this slide (28).
3. Device according to Claim 1
characterised by the fact
that the inking unit (10) for the numbering and impression device (2) is assigned to a swivel mechanism (15), which essentially consists of swivel arms (16, 17) which are linked to each other by an articulated joint and which pivot in the upper area of the side walls of the machine (37, 38), with the aid of which the inking unit (10) can be transported as desired into two delivery positions (18, 19).
4. Device according to Claim 1
characterised by the fact
that the slide (28) supporting the swivel device (20, 60, 76) is attached to the machine frame (34) at the face end allocated to the sheet delivery of a sheet-fed offset printing machine which can be equipped with numbering and impression devices (2).
5. Device according to Claim 2
characterised by the fact
that the crossbar (27, 63) is designed in a tubular shape and runs on the corresponding, shaftlike slide (28), the latter being mounted on beraing pedestals (30) positioned at the ends of a base plate (31) attached to a machine frame (34) at the delivery end of a printing machine (1).
6. Device according to Claim 5
characterised by the fact
that stops (32, 33) are provided on the swivel device (20, 60, 76) and strike against the base plate (31) and the machine frame (34) of the printing machine (1) at the delivery end in order to limit the swivel range.
7. Device according to Claim 2
characterised by the fact
that for mounting the axle journals (24) of the numbering shaft (35) in the side walls (37, 38) of the printing machine (1), half shells (51) are provided which either are fixed to the machine drive or pivot freely, and which accomodate the axle journals (24) of the numbering shafts (35) in interaction with the clamping jaws (54) and also the clamping bolts (56) which mesh into the half shells (51).
8. Device according to one or several of Claims 1-7
characterised by the fact
that the gripper elements of the swivel device (20) are designed as L-shaped, angled lever arms (21, 22) provided with handles (39), each of the lever arms (21, 22) having at its front end a fork-shaped opening (23) for mounting the axle journals (24) on both sides of the numbering shaft (35), the lever arms (21, 22) being attached to the crossbar (27) by means of an intermediate web (25) and also a further arm (26).
9. Device according to one or several of Claims 1-7
characterised by the fact
that each gripper element of the swivel device (60) is designed as two legs (61, 62) linked to each other by an articulated joint and which are connected to each other in a rotary movement by an axle (65) in a pivot point (66), with one of the legs (61) having a fork-shaped opening (23) for mounting the axle journals (24) on both sides and a further bearing point (67) for a further axle (68), while the other leg (62) has a link guide (71) assigned to this pivot axle (68).
10. Device according to Claim 9
characterised by the fact
that indexing collars (72) are provided which can move lengthwise along the axle (68) and which are supported by stops (74) and pressure springs (75), and which engage into indexing holes (73) of the one leg (62) in the end position of the swivel movement of both legs (61, 62).
11. Device according to Claim 10
characterised by tbe fact
that the indexing collars (72) are designed as handles.
12. Device according to Claim 9
characterised by the fact
that at pivot points (82, 83) the leg (78, 80) of the swivel device (76) makes contact with a spring element (84) while the relative swivel angle between two legs (78, 80) can be varied over a wide range by means of an appropriately dimensioned link guide (81).
13. Device according to Claim 9
characterised by the fact
that the swivel device (76) can be used for moving the numbering and impression device (2) and the inking unit (10) assigned to the latter.
14 .Device according to Claim 8, 9 or 12
characterised by the fact
that the front area of the gripper elements (21, 22, 61, 80) forming the fork-shaped opening (23) is designed as a two-section piece, with a gripper arm (41) pivot mounted in a pivot point (42) of each gripper element (21, 22, 61, 80) being supported at a pressure spring (47), that additionally a roller lever (43) is provided at the pivot point (42) with a torsionally rigid link to the gripper arm (41), the cam roller (85) of said roller lever (43) running on an opening cam (45) positioned-on the machine frame (34) in the area of the numbering shaft mounting.
15. Device according to one of the Claims 8, 9 or 12
characterised by the fact
the front area of the gripper elements (21, 22, 61, 80) forming the fork-shaped opening (23) is designed as a single-section piece.
16. Device according to Claim 14 or 15
characterised by the fact
that the fork-shaped opening (23) is so dimensioned that no contact exists with the rotating numbering shaft (35) during the printing process neither when the latter is in the "cylinder down" nor in the "cylinder up" position.
