Abstract

A cutting tool for separating beads of adhesive, with a U-shaped cross-section consisting of two flanks connected by a web. One flank is a sickle-shaped blade and the other is employed to attach the tool to an oscillating driveshaft. The center of curvature of the sickle shape extends toward the point at which the cutting tool is secured. The web between the tensioning shank and the blade may have ridges. These ridges extend to the sides of the tensioning shank and blade. The web is longitudinally curved between the tensioning shank and the blade, and has round edges.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Schneidwerkzeug zum Durchtrennen von Klebewulsten.The invention relates to a cutting tool for cutting adhesive beads.

Glass panes have recently been glued into automotive technology. The adhesive, usually synthetic rubber or one-component polyurethane adhesive, is placed between the window frame and the glass pane. To loosen the glass pane, the adhesive bead must be removed again.

Dies ist nicht immer einfach, da der Weg zum Glasscheibenrand, z.B. durch die Armaturen, sehr beengt ist.DE-A1-32 10 212 proposes a cutting tool with which the adhesive bead is cut and the glass can then be removed from the window frame. A drive machine is provided for the drive, which can execute an oscillating working movement. The cutting tool is elongated and has a concavely curved blade. When cutting through the adhesive bead, you have to use the blade to get into the joint between the glass pane and the window frame from inside the vehicle. This is not always easy because the way to the edge of the glass pane, e.g. through the fittings, is very cramped.

You get more freedom of movement if you can do the cutting work with a cutting tool according to claim 1 outside the vehicle. This is made possible by means of a U-shaped angled cutting tool. The U-shape is dimensioned so that the cutting tool can be guided between the window frame cross-section and the glass pane end. It has proven to be advantageous for the blade, which forms one leg of the U-shape, to be crescent-shaped. The curve of the sickle has its center in the direction of the pivot point of an oscillating drive, and the radius is selected so that the blade cuts deeper into the adhesive bead with each cutting stroke.

In order to prevent the two legs of the U-shaped cutting tool from drifting apart, the web between the blade and the clamping legs is provided with at least one bead. The beads extend slightly to the side of the two legs. A similar effect can be achieved by arching the web.

Since the elastic material of the adhesive bead always strives to pinch the blade, depressions are provided on both flat sides of the blade, which allow an easier cut.

For cost and safety reasons, the blade can also be made blunt on one side. Practice has shown that the wedge angle of the blade should be between 6 ° and 10 °.

When the cutting tool is fastened to the drive machine, the clamping leg has an opening which advantageously forms an equilateral polygon. This form of opening enables the cutting tool to be positively attached to the drive machine in various positions.

The proposed cutting tool ensures safe work, since it is guided between the window frame and the glass pane and cannot inadvertently evade.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawings and will be described in more detail below.

  • Fig. 6 eine Variante nach Fig. 5.
Show it:
  • Figure 1 shows a section through the window frame-glass pane combination with the cutting tool in the cutting position.
  • FIG. 2 shows a cutting tool according to FIG. 1 in side view;
  • 3 is a front view of the cutting tool;
  • Fig. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 3;
  • 5 shows a section along the line VV in Fig. 3.
  • 6 shows a variant according to FIG. 5.

There is a distance 2 between a window frame 5 and a glass pane 1. This distance 2 is bridged by an adhesive bead 4. The adhesive bead 4 fixes the glass pane 1 in its position relative to the window frame 5. In order to cut through the adhesive bead 4 when replacing the glass pane 1 the cutting tool with its blade 3 is first pushed through a gap 7 into the distance 2. The blade 3 pierces the adhesive bead 4 as shown in FIG. 1.

The cutting tool is given its U-shape by the blade 3, a web 6 and a clamping leg 9. The clamping leg 9 is fastened by means of a nut 8 to a drive tool 10 which carries out an oscillating movement.

As can be seen in FIG. 2, an opening 13 is formed for fastening the cutting tool to the clamping leg 9, which opening is inserted onto a correspondingly shaped drive shaft of the drive tool 10. The shape of the opening 13 is preferably a regular polygon. As a result, the drive movement is transmitted in a form-fitting manner. In addition, there is the possibility that the cutting tool can be placed in different positions on the drive shaft. The web 6 is provided in the example shown with a curvature to increase stability.

As can be seen in Fig. 3, the blade 3 forms the second leg of the U-shape. The blade 3 tapers out, which allows the adhesive bead 4 to be pierced. On its two flat sides 14 and 15, depressions 12 and 16 are provided, which prevent the blade from being pinched when cutting.

5, the web 6 is provided with beads 17 in order to achieve an increase in stability. In Fig. 6 the web 6 is shown with a curved cross section, which can contribute to a similar extent to the stability of the web.

In order to dampen hard impacts with the edges of the web 6 on the edge of the glass pane 1, the web 6 has rounded portions 18.
