Definitions
- the invention relates to a burner unit for flame treatment of textile fabrics, in particular a burner unit for singeing machines, with a combustion chamber which opens into a singe slot and which is fed via two parallel burner slots from a gas mixture space which is enclosed by a burner body which consists of two U-shaped cross sections. shaped profile parts, which are clamped together at their longitudinal edges with the interposition of a burner slots each delimiting mixture distribution strip on one longitudinal side.
- the burner unit according to DE-PS 20 23 782 has proven extremely useful in practice, in which two burner slots arranged parallel to one another are provided, which ensure that the scorch flame is largely uniform in terms of time and location .
- the outer longitudinal sides of the two burner slots are each formed by the longitudinal edges, which surround a mixture distributor strip, of approximately U-shaped profile parts, which enclose the gas mixture space.
- the invention has for its object to provide a generic burner unit in which a particularly high uniformity of the scorching flame is achieved in its longitudinal extent.
- the mixture distributor strip is bordered between two guide strips, each delimiting the other long side of the burner slots, which are clamped together with the mixture distributor strip as a package between the two U-profile parts.
- the invention offers the advantage that both sides of the burner slots are now formed by strips which can be machined with much higher precision and uniformity. As a result, a high surface quality of the burner slots and thus a clean flow of the gas mixture can be achieved. Longitudinal ripples, which are still inevitable in the manufacture of the U-profile parts, no longer have a direct effect on the contour of the burner slots, but instead are transmitted by the intermediate guide rails at most to a significantly reduced extent.
- the guide strips upstream of the burner slots can have a narrow thickening on their outside, on which they are clamped between the two U-profile parts.
- the guide strips are therefore only in contact with the U-profile parts on a narrow area, which is also clearly away from the area of the burner slots. Irregularities on the longitudinal edges of the U-profile parts can only be transferred to the guide strips on this narrow surface and fade away very quickly towards the edges of the guide strips. Therefore, the precision of the burner slots now depends exclusively on the processing quality of the guide strips and the mixture distribution strip; This allows the production of extremely high-precision burner slots that do not have any discernible irregularities even with narrow slot widths of around 0.25 mm.
- each guide bar can be provided with a fitting web on its contact surface facing the mixture manifold and this fitting web can engage in a corresponding counter groove in the mixture manifold.
- the fitting bridge can preferably have a V-shaped cross section exhibit.
- the mixture distributor strip can have a rectangular cross-section, it can be provided on each long side with a pressure compensation groove, which is connected to a burner slot, the mixture distributor strip can have blind holes drilled parallel to the clamping surfaces from the inlet, whose diameter corresponds to approximately half the thickness of the mixture distributor bar and which cut the pressure compensation grooves to a width of about 1/5 of their diameter, and the blind holes can open into an inlet groove whose width is equal to the diameter of the blind holes.
- a first advantage of this embodiment is that it is very easy to manufacture compared to known designs. Because the blind holes the pressure Cutting compensation grooves directly, previously customary cross holes can be omitted.
- the blind holes have a relatively large diameter, that there is no abrupt transition between the inlet groove and blind holes, and that the flow is only moderately deflected during the transition from the blind holes to the pressure compensation grooves, so that overall a very uniform Flow through the mixture distributor bar is reached.
- the uniform feeding of the burner slots caused by this is, apart from the manufacturing accuracy of the burner slots, of great importance for the trouble-free operation of the scorching flame.
- the two side walls of the entry groove can have approximately circular arc-shaped recesses in cross section. These recesses initially cause a gradual cross-sectional widening in the direction of flow and then a gradual narrowing of the cross-section. This results in a further calming of the flow in the inlet area of the mixture distributor bar.
- Fig. 1 shows a burner unit 1, which can reach a length of several meters, but is shown in the drawing only on a greatly shortened section.
- a gas mixture is introduced via a supply line 2 into a distribution chamber 3, which is shown in cross section in FIG. 2.
- the gas mixture emerges from the distribution chamber 3 at an increased speed via a baffle 4 and meets a filter 5 on which solid impurities are separated.
- the mixture can calm down in a large dimensioned expansion chamber or a gas mixture space 6 and then enters the combustion chamber 8 through a mixture distributor bar 7 along the entire length of the burner unit 1.
- the combustion chamber 8 is enclosed by ramp stones 9, which form the singe slot 10 in its front region.
- a textile web 11 is passed in front of the singeing slot 10 at high speed.
- the ramp stones 9 are held on a burner body 13 by clips 12.
- the burner body 13 in turn consists of two profile parts 14 which are approximately U-shaped in cross section and which can be clamped against each other by means of clamping sleeves 15 and screws 16.
- the two profile parts 14 thus form the walls of the distribution chamber 3 and the gas mixture space 6.
- the U-profile parts 14 are also provided with cooling channels 17, which are supplied with water via cooling lines 18 - see FIG. 1.
- Fig. 1 also shows a flame monitoring tube 19 and an adjusting device 20, which serves to set the required length of the scorching flame.
- Fig. 3 shows the mixture distributor bar 7, which is clamped with the interposition of guide bars 21 between the profile parts 14.
- the gas mixture flows from the gas mixture space 6 in the direction of arrow 22 into an inlet groove 23 of the mixture distributor bar 7.
- the inlet groove 23 has on its two side walls in cross section approximately circular arc-shaped recesses 24 which contribute to a calming of the flow after the relatively steep transition from the gas mixture space 6 into the inlet groove 23.
- the gas mixture then enters the blind groove 25 from the inlet groove 23, the diameter of which is equal to the width of the inlet groove 23.
- the blind holes 25 cut across a width of 1/5 of their diameter pressure compensation grooves 26, in which the gas mixture again uniformly over the entire slot-delimiting surface of the guide strips lies in one plane with their contact surface 31.
- the burner slots 27 can also be formed by recesses on the guide strips 21, in which case the middle distributor strip 7 can have a uniform thickness.
- the pressure compensation grooves 26 are followed by burner slots 27, the inner longitudinal side 28 of which is delimited by the mixture distributor bar 7 and the outer longitudinal side 29 of which is delimited by a guide bar 21.
- the guide strips 21 have inward the burner slots 27 on their outer sides a narrow thickening 30 with which they rest on the longitudinal edges of the profile parts 14. In this embodiment, the compressive stresses that are transmitted from the profile parts 14 to the guide strips 21 cannot influence the position and shape of the longitudinal sides 29, since these lie far from the clamping area.
- the guide strips 21 have on the contact surfaces 31 with the mixture distributor strip 7 a fitting web 32 which engages in a corresponding counter-groove 33 on the clamping surfaces 34 of the mixture distributor strip 7.
- the fitting web 32 which is shown in FIG. 3 with a V-shaped cross section, ensures that the guide strips 21 are centered relative to the mixture distributor strip 7, so that in particular the front edges of the burner slots 27 are at the same height and thus ensure a uniform outflow of the gas mixture .
- the mixture distributor bar 7 is narrower in its front area delimiting the burner slots 27 than in its rear clamping area.

Description
The invention relates to a burner unit for flame treatment of textile fabrics, in particular a burner unit for singeing machines, with a combustion chamber which opens into a singe slot and which is fed via two parallel burner slots from a gas mixture space which is enclosed by a burner body which consists of two U-shaped cross sections. shaped profile parts, which are clamped together at their longitudinal edges with the interposition of a burner slots each delimiting mixture distribution strip on one longitudinal side.
Die Sengflamme hängt aber u. a. sehr stark von der Art der Einspeisung des Gasgemisches in die Brennkammer ab.When cutting textile fabrics, one of the main difficulties is to carry out the cutting across the entire surface of the fabric completely evenly, since even small spatial or temporal fluctuations in the external effect can lead to an undesirable pattern such as staining or streaking of the fabric. Regular singeing requires a flame that is extremely uniform over its length and stable against interference, the length of the scorching flame generally being several meters. The scorching flame depends very much on the type of feed of the gas mixture into the combustion chamber.
Compared to older burner designs with a mixture feed via a single burner slot, the burner unit according to DE-PS 20 23 782 has proven extremely useful in practice, in which two burner slots arranged parallel to one another are provided, which ensure that the scorch flame is largely uniform in terms of time and location . In the known burner unit, the outer longitudinal sides of the two burner slots are each formed by the longitudinal edges, which surround a mixture distributor strip, of approximately U-shaped profile parts, which enclose the gas mixture space. When machining the longitudinal edges by milling, grinding or the like. Due to the shape and size of the profile, these are inevitably a relatively long distance from the clamping points on the work table or the like, so that there is no elastic evasion in front of the machining tool can be avoided. There are clear limits to the machining accuracy, ie certain dimensional tolerances and ripples in the surface - and thus certain spatial fluctuations in the scorching flame - have to be accepted.
The invention has for its object to provide a generic burner unit in which a particularly high uniformity of the scorching flame is achieved in its longitudinal extent.
To achieve this object it is provided according to the invention that the mixture distributor strip is bordered between two guide strips, each delimiting the other long side of the burner slots, which are clamped together with the mixture distributor strip as a package between the two U-profile parts. The invention offers the advantage that both sides of the burner slots are now formed by strips which can be machined with much higher precision and uniformity.
According to a preferred embodiment, the guide strips upstream of the burner slots can have a narrow thickening on their outside, on which they are clamped between the two U-profile parts. The guide strips are therefore only in contact with the U-profile parts on a narrow area, which is also clearly away from the area of the burner slots.
According to the invention, each guide bar can be provided with a fitting web on its contact surface facing the mixture manifold and this fitting web can engage in a corresponding counter groove in the mixture manifold. The fitting bridge can preferably have a V-shaped cross section exhibit. The guide strips and the mixture distributor strip, which are combined in one package, are given a unique position relative to one another, which is of great importance especially with regard to the front edges of the burner slots. If these are not exactly opposite each other, there can be considerable irregularities in the flow. The centering of the guide strips on the mixture distributor strip with the aid of V-shaped webs permits simple yet very precise assembly and does not pose any particular manufacturing problems.
According to a further feature of the invention, the mixture distributor strip can have a rectangular cross-section, it can be provided on each long side with a pressure compensation groove, which is connected to a burner slot, the mixture distributor strip can have blind holes drilled parallel to the clamping surfaces from the inlet, whose diameter corresponds to approximately half the thickness of the mixture distributor bar and which cut the pressure compensation grooves to a width of about 1/5 of their diameter, and the blind holes can open into an inlet groove whose width is equal to the diameter of the blind holes. A first advantage of this embodiment is that it is very easy to manufacture compared to known designs. Because the blind holes the pressure Cutting compensation grooves directly, previously customary cross holes can be omitted. It is more important for the function of the burner unit that the blind holes have a relatively large diameter, that there is no abrupt transition between the inlet groove and blind holes, and that the flow is only moderately deflected during the transition from the blind holes to the pressure compensation grooves, so that overall a very uniform Flow through the mixture distributor bar is reached. The uniform feeding of the burner slots caused by this is, apart from the manufacturing accuracy of the burner slots, of great importance for the trouble-free operation of the scorching flame.
According to a further feature of the invention, the two side walls of the entry groove can have approximately circular arc-shaped recesses in cross section. These recesses initially cause a gradual cross-sectional widening in the direction of flow and then a gradual narrowing of the cross-section. This results in a further calming of the flow in the inlet area of the mixture distributor bar.
