Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pack with a box part and a hinged lid (so-called cap box) connected to it via an articulated axis, containing a group of cigarettes or the like encased in an interior blank, in particular made of tinfoil, the cigarettes lying flat or parallel to the hinged lid Box part are aligned.
  • Cap boxes consist predominantly of relatively stiff cardboard.
  • the cigarettes are flat or parallel to the hinged lid - usually in two layers one above the other - in the box part. In the closed position of the cap box, this is enclosed by the hinged lid along an inwardly set edge.
  • the group of cigarettes is encased by an inner blank, usually made of tinfoil with an inner glassine layer.
  • the inner blank is designed and arranged so that the side facing the hinged lid, that is to say the top wall lying on the top of the same when the cigarettes are removed, consists of at least two partially overlapping, non-connected closing flaps. These are pivoted to the side for the removal of cigarettes, so that the full area of the group of cigarettes or their upper layer is exposed.
  • a pack of this type or an inner blank designed in this way allows an increased loss of aroma and moisture in the cigarette tobacco. It is also disadvantageous that the entire (upper) layer of the cigarettes is always exposed when the package is opened. Finally, due to its constructive design, the interior cut is also not suitable for giving the group of cigarettes sufficient cohesion as a "tinfoil block".
  • the invention has for its object to propose a pack, in particular a cap box, with an internal cut, in which the latter ensures increased protection against loss of moisture and aroma, but without impairing the handling of the pack, namely access to the cigarettes.
  • the package according to the invention is characterized in that the top wall of the inner blank facing the hinged lid has a removal opening formed by punching and facing an end (transverse edge of the inner blank) of the top wall which extends through a sealing flap at least in the size of the removal opening is covered, the removal opening and / or the sealing flap being designed with a width that changes in the direction of the free end of the top wall, in particular decreases in width.
  • the top of the group of cigarettes is covered by a largely closed upper wall.
  • the only part of the same removal opening is covered by a closure flap, which is preferably designed or arranged so that it covers the edge of the removal opening with a lateral and transverse edge strip.
  • the closure flap can rest loosely on the top wall or on the cigarettes or alternatively releasably attached to the adjacent part of the top wall (peel-seal connection).
  • the relatively small closure flap is pivoted back, so that a sufficient end area of the cigarettes is exposed for the removal thereof.
  • a transverse edge of the inner blank forms the pivot axis for the closure flap.
  • Another important feature of the invention is that, starting from a transverse edge of the removal opening, two dividing lines are arranged at a distance from one another to the opposite transverse edge. This makes it possible to separate an essentially central opening strip from the top wall in addition to the removal opening, so that an opening is formed which extends over the entire length of the top wall. At the ends of these dividing lines, further, transverse dividing lines can follow, through which side flaps of the top wall can be opened to the sides.
  • cap boxes that is to say to packs which consist of a box part 20 and a hinged lid 21. Both are pivotally connected to one another along an articulation axis 22.
  • the hinged lid 21 comprises a collar 23 of the box part 20. This collar 23 is arranged in the box part as a material running all around, and in the upper part it springs back inwards.
  • a cuboid-shaped tinfoil block 26 thus created preferably contains three layers of cigarettes 24.
  • the tinfoil block 26 or the cap box is thus given a format which corresponds to a conventional hinge-lid pack or a cup pack.
  • the cigarettes 24 are aligned in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the cuboid cap box, that is to say parallel to the hinge axis 22.
  • the inner blank 25 is designed and arranged in such a way that an essentially closed upper wall 27 is created in the closed position (FIG. 2).
  • a removal opening 28 is arranged in this by means of corresponding punchings, specifically in an end region facing the one end of the cigarettes 24.
  • the removal opening 28 extends up to an edge-side transverse edge 29 of the tinfoil block 26.
  • the removal opening is delimited here by converging side edges 30 and 31 and a transverse edge 32 adjoining them.
  • the width of the removal opening 28 is less than the width or transverse dimension of the upper wall 27, so that, in addition to the removal opening 28, residual walls 33 remain. In relation to a gentle end wall 34, the aforementioned residual walls 33 are divided by a gap.
  • the removal opening 28 can be covered by a closure tab 35. Due to the design of the same or the arrangement relative to the removal opening 28, the closure flap 35 covers the removal opening 28 laterally in the closed position with an edge strip 36 and transversely with a transverse strip 37.
  • the closure flap 35 is expediently not only pivoted back, for example into a position according to FIG. 3, but also pulled across an upper collar edge 38 of the box part 20 transversely to the cigarettes 24.
  • the tinfoil block 26 is lifted out of the box part 20 on one side by the tensile force (FIG. 6) in such a way that the removal end of the cigarettes 24 is exposed. This makes removal easier.
  • This lifting movement is made possible by the fact that the closure flap or an end wall 39 connected to it is not connected to laterally adjacent cut parts.
  • the inner blank 25 for a package or a tinfoil block 26 formed in this way is shown in FIG. 7.
  • the inner blank 25 can be separated from a continuous material web 40 in the width of an inner blank 25.
  • the construction is such that the longer walls extend successively in the longitudinal direction of the material web 40. Accordingly, the top wall 27, an end wall 41, a bottom wall 42, the front wall 39 and - adjoining this - the closure flap 35 follow one another.
  • side tabs 43 are arranged laterally in the area of the top wall and corresponding side tabs 44 in the area of the bottom wall 42. In the finished tinfoil block 26, these form side walls 45 and 46 by folding the side flaps 43 and 44 over each other.
  • a corner flap 47 connects to the end wall 41 as a continuation and connection of the side flaps 43 and 44. Similar corner flaps 48 and 49 are located in the region of the end wall 39 and at the opposite end of the inner cut 25. As already mentioned, the corner flaps 48 are not connected to the adjacent end wall 39, but are separated from it by a separating cut 50. The corner flaps 48 and 49 also have smaller dimensions in the longitudinal direction of the cut than the associated front wall 39. The front flaps 48 and 49 folded into the plane of the front wall 39, namely against the head ends of the cigarettes 24, only partially overlap one another (FIG. 4).
  • a peculiarity of the present Inner cut 25 is that both end walls 39 and 41 are formed as a continuous wall, without folds.
  • the closing tab 35 adjoining the end wall 39 is formed by punching the removal opening 28 in the adjacent blank.
  • the corner flaps 48 and 49 which follow one another in the longitudinal direction of the material web 40 result in a constructive length which makes it possible to make the closure flap longer or larger by a transverse strip 51 in the width of the end wall 39 than the removal opening 28.
  • One on the rectangular transverse strip 51 the subsequent trapezoidal part of the closure flap corresponds in size and shape to the removal opening 28.
  • the transverse strip 51 is in the closed position by folding along the transverse edge 29 as the upper boundary of the end wall 39 in the plane of the upper wall 27.
  • the trapezoidal part of the closure flap is thus opposite the removal opening 28 shifted in the longitudinal direction of the top wall 27, namely by a section which corresponds to the dimension of the transverse strip 51 in the longitudinal direction of the blank.
  • This transverse strip 51 in the full width of the end wall 39 also largely seals this end region of the tinfoil block 26.
  • the gaps between the top wall 27 in the area of the removal opening 28 with respect to the end wall 39 result from the punching 52 extending over the full width of the top wall 27 in the area of the inner cut 25 adjoining the removal opening 28 due to the design of the closure tab 35.
  • the special feature is that an enlargement of the removal opening 28 is provided by arranging further dividing lines in the otherwise closed part of the upper wall.
  • 28 extension lines 53 and 54 extend to the opposite transverse edge 55 of the top wall in an extension of the side edges 30 and 31 of the removal opening.
  • An essentially trapezoidal material strip 56 is delimited by these dividing lines 53, 54 and can be pulled off as a further opening tab as a result of severing the dividing lines 53, 54.
  • the upper cigarettes 24 lying in the middle area are thereby exposed to their full length.
  • the material strip 56 can be completely separated and discarded or folded back into the starting position analogous to the closure flap 35. In the former case, the material strip 56 in the region of the transverse edge 55 can be separated from the rest of the inner blank 25 by a transverse dividing line 57.
  • transverse separating lines 60 and 61 are attached to the ends of the separating lines 53, 54, which are directed outward, that is to say to the longitudinal edges 58 and 59 of the top wall 27, in the exemplary embodiment shown likewise in the region of the transverse edge 55.
  • the dividing lines 53, 54 and transverse dividing lines 57, 60, 61 can be designed in various ways, but expediently consist of punchings 64 with residual connections 65.
  • the remaining connections 65 are arranged at suitable distances from one another. In the exemplary embodiment shown, such residual connections 65 are in any case arranged in the region of the meeting of the dividing lines 53, 54 on the one hand and the transverse dividing lines 57 or 60 and 61. This avoids erecting corners of the inner blank 25.
  • Such an inner blank 25 is shown in FIG. 12. Compared to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 7, this is provided with the punchings 64 and residual connections 65 for defining the dividing lines 53, 54 and the transverse dividing lines 57 or 60 and 61. Completely processable blanks are accordingly separated from the material web 40.
