- the invention also extends to a method for implementing the above device.
- the method for the connection between a manifold plate and a water box of a heat exchanger in which said connection is provided by a preformed staple bearing under a peripheral groove of the collector plate and above a peripheral bearing surface of a water box covering the collector plate and pressing a seal against it is characterized in that a compression force is exerted between the collector plate and the water box to deform the seal that separates them, so that the clip is put in place by sliding so that it takes support, on the one hand, on the bearing surface of the water box and, on the other hand, against the bottom of the peripheral groove of the collector plate, in that the clip is locked to the collector plate after it has been put in place by sliding and in that, for lock the clip to the collector plate after its installation by sliding, said clip is provided with at least one lower tab of length greater than the width of the peripheral groove of the collector plate and in that the end of this tab is folded against the internal edge of said collector plate.
