Definitions
- This invention relates to printing material sets for preparing bar-code labels by pressure-sensitive printing.
- bar-code labels have become utilized in large quantities in which plural bar-codes are printed on the bar-code labels.
- the plural bar-codes indicated numeral letters which show information such as a name, a price and a weight of a commodity or an article.
- the bar-code labels are utilized in the statistical analysis of information concerning the distribution of the commodities or the articles.
- thermosensitive printing method there are many occasions of pollution of the finished image of the bar-codes by after-color development due to heating because both the color-developer and the color-former exist on the surface of the label after thermal printing.
- the transfer-printed pigment and wax adhere on the finished label. Therefore, the distinctness of the image of the bar-codes is apt to be reduced by heat and friction.
- Every one of the defects mentioned above is a cause of reduction of the precision with which bar-codes are read by a light pen.
- the reduction is particularly noticeable in the case where the bar-codes are printed on a sheet of paper for the label on occasion and then the bar-code label is -adhered onto commodities or articles on occasion.
- DE-A-2407822 discloses a self-adhesive record carrier, such as an adhesive label, composed of a base-paper, an adhesive layer on the back, a non-stick silicone layer or the like and a disposable backing sheet.
