  • a sabot of the aforementioned type is known from DE-PS 22 36 142. It has the air pocket in the front support and a rear edge in the vicinity of the second support, around which the segments are detached from the balancing projectile. In the event of shelling, an uneven detachment of the sabot segments from the balancing projectile was found. This can lead to a harmful swinging of the balancing bullet.
