Definitions
- the invention relates to a circular loom with a machine frame which has an upper and lower race, between which a reed and at least one shooter are arranged, which are guided in the race by means of rollers arranged at its front and rear ends and by means of a driver roller arranged on a rotor is drivable, wherein the roller in contact with the driving roller has a truncated cone-shaped extension which extends from the race towards its center and tapers in this direction and with which the driving roller comes into contact.
- a circular weaving machine of this type is described in the older prior published European patent application 0080453.
- the driving roller of this circular weaving machine which is rotatably mounted on the rotor, comes into contact with the rear roller in the direction of movement of the shooter, which rolls directly on a lower race, whereby the shooter is pushed along the race rings.
- This type of drive allows the shooter to be pushed out of the guide rails, particularly when the machine starts up, which can lead to malfunctions and, subsequently, to production interruptions or production downtimes.
- the invention aims to improve a circular loom of the type described in the introduction and has the task of reducing the susceptibility of the shooter drive to failure.
- the driver roller also has a truncated cone-shaped jacket part that comes into contact with the shooter's roller during operation is in contact with a roller arranged at the front end of the shooter and is provided between the rollers arranged at the front and rear ends of the shooter.
- a circular weaving machine which has a shooter who is provided with a roller at its front end, which roller is in contact with a driving roller moving in the shuttle web during operation.
- This roller serves to drive and not to support the shooter, so that the known circular loom is not suitable for high weaving performance due to the friction occurring between the shooter and the warp threads. In particular, difficulties are to be expected when starting up this known machine.
- FIG. 1 showing an overall view of the machine, partly in section. 1 shows a section of FIG. 1 on a larger scale
- FIG. 3 shows a section along line 111-111 of FIG. 4
- FIG. 4 shows a view in the direction of arrow IV of FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the circular loom has a rotor 2 which is rotatably mounted and drivable in a machine frame 1 and which is arranged below a fixed reed 3.
- the reed is delimited by an upper and lower race 4, 5, along which race at least one shooter 6 is guided by means of rollers 7, 7 '.
- a shaft is arranged in a circle arranged concentrically with the rotor 2, the shaft having a wavy groove 10 machined on the outside of the rotor 2 and engaging driver elements 11 designed as sliding blocks.
- the driver elements 11 can have rotatable rollers 11 ′ which are inserted into the groove 10.
- Each of the driver elements 11 carries a plurality of flexible bands 12 or cords, each of which is guided over an upper 13 and lower deflection roller 14 rotatably mounted on the machine frame 1.
- each driver element 11 is guided along two parallel and vertically arranged guide rods 15 which pass through the driver element 11 and are rigidly fastened to the machine frame 1.
- Thread guide members 16 for example eyelets, are attached to each band 12 at a distance from one another.
- the shooter 6 has a support body 17 which carries the weft bobbin 18.
- the rollers 7, 7 ' are guided on the upper and lower races 4, 5 of the reed 3 each having a semicircular arc profile.
- the counter profile of the roller is adapted to the preferred semicircular arc profile of the races 4, 5 and is approximately quarter-circle-shaped, extending beyond the apex of the race profile, so that the rollers 7 transmit both the centrifugal force and supporting forces to the races 4, 5 and the shooter tipping out 6 is avoided at a standstill.
- the shooter 6 is driven by means of a driver roller 19 which is freely rotatably mounted on the rotor 2.
- the driver roller 19 is arranged between the rollers 7, 7 'arranged on the front and rear ends of the shooter 6 and arrives during operation, that is to say with the shooter 6 rotating , In contact with a arranged at the front end of the shooter 6 roller 7, which rolls on the lower race 5.
- the shooter 6 is, so to speak, by means of a front wheel drive along the races 4, 5 pulled, which significantly improves its smoothness.
- the roller 7 coming into contact with the driving roller 19 has a frustoconical extension 20 which extends from the race 5 towards its center and tapers in this direction, with which the driving roller 19 comes into contact with a likewise frustoconical jacket part 21 provided on it .
- the axis of rotation 22 of the driver roller 19 intersects with the axis 23 of the roller and with the extension of the line of contact 24 of the driver roller 19 with the roller 7 at a point 25, whereby the life of the driver roller 19 and the roller 7 coming into contact with it increases is.
- a further, freely rotatable roller 28 on the rotor i. H. on a support body 29 mounted on the rotor, the distance 27 being dimensioned so large that the intermediate roller 7 of the shooter 6 has play at least with one of the rollers 19 and 28.
