Abstract

The invention relates to a forced draft household gas boiler having a sealed enclosure for the combustion assembly of the boiler. A sealed shell (15) envelopes a cylindrical heat exchanger (6) and is suspended in the upper half of a frame (1) from a horizontal plate (4) so that a central inlet opening (11) of the heat exchanger is in the axis of an outlet tube (32) of a fan (29) which directs an air/gas mixture into the burner. An outlet opening (23) for the combustion products collected in the sealed shell (15) is located within the circumference of the shell and at least approximately in the axis of an evacuation pipe (18) for evacuating combustion products external of the boiler.

6. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that the upper edge of the shell (15) applied under the horizontal plate (4), comprises a groove (24) for the positioning of an O ring (25).
7. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that the outlet opening for the combustion products collected by the shell (15) is joined to the exhaust pipe (18) for the said products by a vertical connecting tube (22) and a union (21).
8. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that provision is made in the bottom of shell (15) for an opening (26) for the evacuation of condensates.
9. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that the shell (1 5) is offset laterally in frame (1) of the boiler and leaves a space on the side forthe mounting of a sanitary water exchanger.
10. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that the fresh air intake is effected via a distribution box (20) which is mounted below the upper cover (17) of the boiler.
11. A boiler according to claim 1 and 10, characterised in that the mixing chamber (27) fixed below the distribution box (20) is - via its upper portion - directly communicating with the fresh air intake and connected through a lateral face to the intake opening (28) of the fan (29) via a flaring duct (30).
12. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that the central axis of the heat exchanger (6) is slightly offset in relation to the pipes (18-19) for the evacuation of combustion products and for the fresh air intake.
13. A boiler according to claim 1, characterised in that the horizontal plate (4) comprises a central cut out (12) for the connection of the burner (13) to the outlet pipe (32) of fan (29) and the passing of the pipes (14) for the water intake and output of the exchanger (6).
