Abstract

The gas heated boiler with a cylindrical casing (1) enclosing a ring of vertical water tubes (7) has the gas and air mixture forced upwards from below to a radial burner (6) in the upper part of the combustion chamber. The air and gas entry chamber is at one side, containing a venturi tube (12) with its axis parallel to that of the burner. An air entry chamber (11) is also formed by a cover (18) over the top, with a large diameter part over the combustion chamber and a small diameter part over the venturi tube. The large diameter part has a hole through it for the exhaust gas outlet (16) and also has an outer tube (17) around it, with a space (20) between for fresh air entry. The gas supply tube (21) passes through another hole in the small diameter part, to discharge into the venturi tube.

L'air est donc admis dans la boite à air 11 par l'espace annulaire délimité entre l'orifice 20 et la tubulure d'evacuation des gaz brûlés 16, et pénètre dans la chambre de mélange 12 par l'orifice 14. L'effet d'aspiration provoqué dans le venturi de la chambre 12 favorise le mélange avec le gaz injecté par le tube d'arrivée gaz 21 qui traverse de façon étanche le capot 18 et débouche dans la chambre de mélange par l'orifice 14.

The air is therefore admitted into the air box 11 through the annular space delimited between the orifice 20 and the burnt gas evacuation pipe 16, and enters the mixing chamber 12 through the orifice 14. The suction effect caused in the venturi of the chamber 12 promotes mixing with the gas injected by the gas inlet tube 21 which passes tightly through the cover 18 and opens into the mixing chamber through port 14.
