Definitions

  • the invention relates to a seating group of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a seating group is a multipurpose piece of furniture for which there is great demand in small apartments, in restaurants and in caravans or mobile homes.
  • such modifiable seating groups are often used because they complete the furnishing of guest rooms by offering the guest a desk or breakfast table during the day and an additional bed at night.
  • a seating group of the type mentioned in which the guide device has a frame attached to the visible side of the longitudinal wall with vertical guide ears for bushings of the table top, with a compensation device for the masses to be moved below the table top arranged weight is used, which is connected to the table top via deflected cables.
  • the table top In the table position, the table top is locked by a rod that is inserted into a lock part of the frame.
  • the free end of the table top facing away from the longitudinal wall projects freely so that the length of the table top and its load-bearing capacity are limited in this end region.
  • the invention is based on the technical problem of creating a seating group of the type mentioned at the outset which is distinguished by a homely external impression, which is simple and reliable to use and in which the risk of contamination of the user or of the bedding is eliminated with certainty.
  • the guide parallelogram leads to a clean and even adjustment movement of the table top between its two positions. It is particularly useful that no movable parts of the guide device, which may be lubricated, need to lie in front of the longitudinal wall and above the table top. There are also no disturbing components of the mechanism in both positions, so that the seating group has a pleasing appearance in both positions of the seat plate. A considerable part of the guide device and the compensation device are located behind the longitudinal wall, where they do their work invisibly. The preloaded cylinder-piston unit as a compensation device works very reliably, is largely maintenance-free and very easy to use.
  • a further embodiment according to claim 4 is particularly inexpensive and easy to manufacture.
  • Such cylinders are commercially available, for example they are used as trunk installation cylinders or engine compartment holding cylinders in automobile construction, and they work with a long service life and constant forces.
  • Such a correctly adjusted cylinder balances the weight of the masses to be moved so completely that the table top can be adjusted practically in a playful manner.
  • the table is very solidly anchored in the table position by the two locking devices, both on the longitudinal wall and on its free projecting end. With this design, even very large tabletop areas or tabletop lengths can be easily controlled, since the guide parallelogram and the locking of the tabletop on the longitudinal wall are relieved by the second locking device when large forces act on the tabletop.
  • the handle for adjusting the table top is easily accessible there without it being able to interfere.
  • the operator only needs to grip the handle with one hand, without having to help with the movement on the table top or other organs.
  • An embodiment as is evident from claim 10 is also particularly simple in terms of production technology. In this way, not only the movement of the table top for adjustment is initiated with the rod, but also both detents are automatically engaged or released so that the adjustment process can be carried out quickly and easily in both directions.
  • the actuation of the mechanism by means of the rod is particularly simple according to claim 11. Since this sliding guide is adjustable, the engagement of the locking part in the lock part can be adjusted particularly precisely.
  • the feature of claim 12 is also important so that there is no play in the longitudinal direction of the rod and that it is ensured that the base is in its stable end position when the locking part is locked.
  • the locking of the table top on the longitudinal wall is particularly simple. If the features of claim 13 are realized.
  • the fork-shaped console is assigned a double task here, as it serves as a swivel bearing for the pedestal and, when the pedestal is folded down and the table top is placed in bed, as a front, stable support for the table top.
  • the locking of the table top on the longitudinal wall automatically engages particularly easily when the features of claim 15 are given.
  • This pretensioning by means of the spring prevents the table top or the mechanism from rattling in the table position and in the bed position.
  • the feature of claim 20 is also important, since in this way a very stable mechanism is created which, even after long use of the seating group for both purposes and under heavy loads in both purposes, warps or warps of individual components of the mechanism or of the table top avoids.
  • a table top 2 is structurally integrated so that its height can be adjusted between a table position and a bed position. 1 and 2, the table top is in the table position, while in the figure the table top is drawn in the bed position. In Fig. 1 there are seat cushions 5 on the benches, while the bench backs are covered with back cushions 4.
  • the seats of the benches 3 are hinged 27 so that the benches can be placed in a chest-like manner. B. for bedding.
  • the table top 2 is mounted in a height-adjustable manner on the longitudinal wall 1 via guide parallelograms which can be seen in detail in FIG. 5, only vertical struts 12a of these guide parallelograms being recognizable in FIG.
  • a fork-shaped support bracket 24 is also attached to the underside of the table top, in which a pedestal 9 is pivotally mounted with a roller 25 and is structurally connected to a control device, of which only one handle 6 can be seen in FIG. 2.
  • Fig. 3 - as I said - the table top 2 is lowered into the bed position, in which its top is aligned with the top of the benches 3.
  • the seat cushions 5 are placed by bridging the joints between the table top 2 and the benches 3.
  • Fig. 3 From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the base 9 of Fig. Is folded away, and that the fork-shaped bracket 24 stands on the floor and supports the table top at the front. 3, a lock part 8 can also be seen in the longitudinal wall 1, in which the control device indicated in FIG. 2 is locked in the table position of the table top 2.
  • Fig. 4 shows a larger plan view of this lock part 8, which has a key-shaped opening and with its front side shown in the drawing plane is either flush in the longitudinal wall 1 or is even sunk in the longitudinal wall, leaving only the insertion opening.
  • the structure of the individual components can be seen in a cross section through the seating group.
  • the table top 2 is currently in an intermediate position between the table position 13 and the bed position 14.
  • a solid frame 12 made of metal profiles is fastened, to which two vertical struts 12 a, which extend downward, are fastened next to one another at the end of the table top 2 facing the longitudinal wall 1.
  • the fork-shaped bracket 24 is fastened via stiffening members 26.
  • the base 9 with its roller 25 is pivotally mounted in a pivot bearing 23 so that it can be pivoted clockwise to a vertical position in which the table top 2 is supported in the table position.
  • the stand 9 has near its upper end an articulation point 22 which lies in the region of a vertical slot (not shown).
  • a rod 17 is pivotally connected to the base 9, which carries at its free end a handle 6 in the manner of an umbrella handle.
  • the hinge point 22 can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the rod 17 by means of an adjusting screw 18 accommodated in the handle 6.
  • a biased spring 19 is arranged, which seeks to push the rod in Fig. To the right.
  • a sliding guide 20, z. B. made of nylon for the rod 17 adjustable.
  • this is penetrated by a cross pin projecting at both ends, which forms with the rod 17 a locking part 7 for the lock part 8 accommodated in the longitudinal wall 1 and can be inserted therein and locked by turning the handle 6 in this.
  • vertical struts 12b are anchored with transverse profiles 11, which extend almost over the entire length of the longitudinal wall 1 and additionally stiffen them.
  • the vertical struts 12a and 12b are movably connected to one another by two pivoting struts 10a and 10b which are spaced apart from one another, specifically by means of pivot bearings 30a and 30b in the vertical strut 12a and pivot bearings 15a and 15b in the vertical strut 12b.
  • the swivel strut 10a is designed in the manner of an angle lever.
  • the swivel strut 10b is extended beyond its swivel bearing 15b and carries a support point 29 in this extension 31.
  • the support point 29 can either be designed as an elongated hole, as an arch slot or through a plurality of fastening openings which are separate from one another.
  • one end 28 of a piston-cylinder unit 16 is supported, the other end of which is supported directly via a welded-on tab either on the vertical strut 12b, on the profile 11 or on the longitudinal wall 1.
  • the piston-cylinder unit 16 can be a gas pressure, hydraulic or spring-loaded piston cylinder, which loads the pivot strut 10b counterclockwise and counterclockwise with a predetermined compressive force.
  • a circular arc part through the upper and rear edge of the table top 2 symbolizes the path along which this edge of the table top 2 moves when the table top 2 is adjusted in height.
  • a dash-dotted circular arc part below the roller 25 of the pedestal 9 shows which movement this end of the pedestal 9 performs when the table top 2 is adjusted in height.
  • the locking part 7 is inserted and rotated into the lock part 8 with the handle, the base 9 being simultaneously pulled into its upright end position via the articulation point 22. Then when the locking part 7 is locked, the table top 2 is immovably connected to the longitudinal wall and is also supported by the base 9. The piston-cylinder unit is then extended further than is shown in FIG. 5. The piston-cylinder unit has previously balanced the weight of the masses to be moved for lifting the table top 2, so that almost no or no force had to be exerted on the handle 6.
  • the handle 6 is first rotated, whereupon the locking part 7 slides out of the lock part 8 by the spring 19 and at the same time the base 9 is given a movement impulse in the direction of the dashed arrow, that it with his role 25 on the floor begins to slide towards the longitudinal wall 1.
  • the rear end of the table top 2 detaches from the longitudinal wall and follows the arcuate path.
  • the weight of the masses to be moved is in turn compensated for by the piston-cylinder unit, so that the table top 2 can be lowered almost without power by means of the handle 6 until the base 9 is finally raised and the lower end of the fork-shaped console 24 reaches the floor is.
  • the front end of the table top 2 facing the longitudinal wall 1 comes to rest against the longitudinal wall 1 and is prevented by the guide parallelogram from yielding downwards.
  • the table top 2 is locked by this system on the longitudinal wall on the one hand and by the console 24 sitting on the floor on the other hand.
  • a piston-cylinder unit 16 is expediently provided in each of the two guide parallelograms.
  • a 90 ° rotation of the handle 6 is sufficient to lock the locking part 7.
  • a mark on the front of the stand 9 expediently indicates when it has been locked or released.
  • the guide parallelograms and the frame on the underside of the table top are expediently metal or light metal profiles.
  • the handle 6 can also consist of metal or plastic.
  • the parts visible from the front, in particular the base 9 and the fork for the center console 24 are expediently made of wood, like the table top, or are at least covered with a wood-imitating surface layer or with veneer.
  • the adjusting screw installed in the handle 6 allows a precise adjustment to avoid any longitudinal play and to ensure that the stand 9 is actually in an end position when the closing part 7 is locked.
  • the spring 19 also prevents slippage or wobbling of the components of the control device. It also secures the turning handle against automatic adjustment, since the force exerted by the spring fixes the locking part 7 in the lock part by friction.
  • the sliding guide 20 guides the rod 17 exactly with the locking part 7 into the locking part 8.
  • the sliding guide is fastened with the bolt 21 to the frame 12 so that the bolt engages in an elongated bore in the sliding guide.
  • the sliding guide 20 is adjustable for adjusting the closure part.
  • a small longitudinal ripple can also be provided in the rod, which allows the spring. This longitudinal play is expedient so that when the handle 6 is slightly tightened, the pedestal 9 begins to fold down.
  • the stand 9 is not absolutely necessary if it is a table top with a small overhang.
  • pull-out drawers could also be provided in these.
  • the seat and back cushions expediently consist of a foam plastic and are covered with removable and washable fabric covers provided with adhesive closures. Buttons or zippers could also be used in the same way.
