Abstract

The lift landing door frame arrangement contains horizontally adjustable lateral caulking or sealing elements arranged at uprights of the door frame and a vertically adjustable top caulking or sealing element associated with the topside of the door frame. To avoid retouching due to the caulking elements at the time of placement of the lift landing door frame arrangement and to avoid the formation of gaps in the door frame after placement, each lateral caulking element comprises a rectangular sheet metal panel of a length which exceeds the height of the door frame. Each lateral caulking element engages with and is fixed to the interior of the related upright. Each lateral caulking element is also guided for simultaneous vertical and horizontal adjustment at a guide plate carried by the related upright. The vertically adjustable top caulking element is constituted by a U-shaped sheet metal strap which is disposed astride the front parts of the door frame and is laterally guided thereat. This lift landing door frame arrangement is particularly suitable in cases in which the lift or elevator shaft does not include lateral masonry returns at the landing openings.

Description

The invention relates to an elevator landing door frame which comprises a door frame, to each upright of which is provided a horizontally adjustable lateral caulking element and to the upper part of which is associated a vertically adjustable caulking element, caulking elements by means of which the frame can be adapted to the contour of the elevator shaft.

To remedy the relative inaccuracies which, during the construction of buildings, inevitably occur at the openings made in the elevator shafts to accommodate the landing doors, it is common to provide openings of sufficient dimensions to allow the fitting of a frame. consisting of a door frame with relatively narrow uprights, completed laterally and at its upper part by caulking elements capable of being adapted to the contour of the sheath opening concerned. Masonry touch-ups or fittings are largely avoided. In many cases, this solution is imposed by the fact that, for the purpose of lowering the cost price of construction and / or standardization, certain architects or contractors refuse to design elevator shafts comprising masonry returns to the landing openings, as well as touching up the masonry once the frame is installed.

French patent n ° 2120 596 shows a door frame for an elevator landing door using such caulking elements. In the proposed solution, a lateral caulking is carried out, on the height of the door frame, by means of two folded sheet metal elements of U-shaped section which partially cover the front face of the door frame upright to which each of they are associated and which are connected, at the rear, to the latter by means of fixing tabs. At its outer edge, each folded sheet element is completed by an angle iron capable of being adjusted horizontally and of being connected to the rear of the element by means of bolts. On the upper cross member of the door frame is fixed a pediment which extends over the entire width of the door frame and at the rear of which is a vertically adjustable sheet of caulking. The lateral caulking above the angles is carried out by means of sheet metal brackets fixed to the ends of the pediment and adjustable horizontally.

This landing door frame has the drawback of requiring, for both lateral and vertical sealing, the use of several kinds of elements and, consequently, of a large number of fixing means. Its construction is therefore relatively complicated. Another drawback still lies in the fact that unless provision is made for the pediment and the vertical caulking sheet to be adjusted on site to the width of the opening of the sheath, days remain in the frame in the vicinity of the brackets. sheet metal attached to the ends of the pediment. These days, like those which may possibly remain at the connections of the various elements, must be closed by means of seals made of rubber or similar material. Without that, such a frame cannot meet the regulations in force in certain countries with regard to sealing and fire resistance of elevator shafts and landing doors. Finally, the narrowness of the visible surface of the angles, which are set back from the folded sheet metal elements and whose slightest difference from one side of the door frame to the other or from one frame to the other strikes l 'eye, has the disadvantage of bringing out the inaccuracies in width of the duct openings.

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. As characterized in the claim, the invention solves the problem of creating an elevator landing door frame which can be adapted to the contour of the opening made in the sheath without its caulking elements having to be touched up or leave them, between them and their connection with the door frame, for days in the frame.

The advantage provided by the invention lies above all in the simplicity of construction of the frame which does not require the use of intermediate elements between the caulking elements themselves and the door frame. The fitting operations of the frame, in particular the adjustment and fixing of the caulking elements, are therefore greatly facilitated, all the more so since the three caulking elements are guided, as the case may be, in the uprights of the frame. door or by the front of the latter.

  • la figure 1 est une vue simplifiée en élévation montrant, côté palier, une huisserie de porte palière d'ascenseur pourvue d'éléments de calfeutrement conforme à l'invention ;
  • la figure 2 est une vue en coupe de profil, selon la ligne AA, de l'huisserie représentée par la figure 1 ;
An embodiment of the invention is set out below, with reference to the appended drawing, in which:
  • Figure 1 is a simplified elevational view showing, on the landing side, an elevator landing door frame provided with sealing elements according to the invention;
  • Figure 2 is a sectional side view, along line AA, of the frame shown in Figure 1;
  • FIG. 3 shows, seen in horizontal section along the line BB of FIG. 1 and on a larger scale, details of the frame according to FIGS. 1 and 2.

3).The figures show a door frame for an elevator landing intended to be adapted to the contour of an opening made in an elevator shaft at the location of a landing 1 whose floor 1.1 has the usual rebate 1.11 used to house the door sill support, not shown. Reference 2 designates the frame of a landing door, also not shown. The door frame 2 is formed by two uprights parallel verticals 3, 4 connected to each other, at their upper end, by a cross-member 5 of U-shaped section, the branches of which are directed inward. Each upright 3, 4 is constituted by a sheet bent longitudinally at a right angle, so as to have an L-shaped section and form, for the upright, a side wall on the door side and an external or front wall, the front wall having a double return at right angles 3.1,4.1 directed towards the inside of the upright (fig. 3).

Inside each upright 3, 4 and on the internal face of its lateral wall, is fixed by welding a sheet bent longitudinally at right angles 6, 7 which extends over the entire height of the upright and leaves, between its side free and the border formed by the double return at right angles 3.1,4.1 of the front wall of the upright, sufficient space for the engagement and the guiding in the upright 3, 4 of a lateral caulking element described below.

Each lateral caulking element is constituted by a rectangular sheet metal panel 8, 9 the length of which is greater than the height of the door frame 2, but which is however shorter than the distance between the base of the rebate 1.11 and the lintel 1.2 delimiting the top of the sheath opening. In its part engaged in the upright 3, 4, each rectangular panel 8, 9 has vertically oblong openings 10 which form, with oblong openings 11 provided horizontally in the free side of the sheet 6, 7 welded on the internal face of the side wall of the upright 3, 4, guides for fixing bolts 12 used to connect the rectangular panel 8, 9 to the upright 3, 4.

At the upper part of the door frame 2 is associated a sealing element constituted by a narrow strip of sheet metal 13 which extends over the entire width of the door frame 2 and the ends of which 13.1, 13.2 are bent at right angles, so that the sheet metal strip 13 can be placed astride the front part of the door frame 2 and that its bent ends 13.1, 13.2 come into contact, on either side of the uprights 3 and 4, with the rectangular panels 8 and 9. The sheet metal strip 13 is thus presented as a U-shaped stirrup, the branches of which constitute the bent parts 13.1, 13.2 are guided laterally by the door frame 2 and which can be adjusted in vertical position on this the latter according to the arrows I. The means of fixing the sheet metal strip 13 have not been shown. Once adjusted in the vertical position, the sheet metal strip 13 can be fixed by screws, or by means of added sheet metal tabs, to the uprights 3 and 4 or to the cross-member 5, or even be connected to another fixed element. to the masonry and to the door frame 2, for example to a cross member supporting the landing door.

The rectangular panels 8 and 9 have, at their outer edge, a right angle return 8.1, 9.1 by which, once their lower part engaged in the rebate 1.11 and their vertical and horizontal adjustment made, according to the arrows II and III, thanks when moving the fixing bolts 12 in the oblong openings 10 and 11, they can be fixed to the corresponding lateral edge 1.3, 1.4 of the sheath opening (fig. 3) by means of screws, not shown.

2).Within the limit permitted by the length of the oblong openings 10 and 11, an integral lateral caulking and a large part of the vertical caulking of the frame can be obtained by adjusting the rectangular panels 8 and 9 only. The vertical days remaining at above the door frame are then easily filled by simple vertical positioning of the sheet metal strip 13 (fig. 2).

It goes without saying that, without departing from the scope of the invention, the amounts of the door frame as well as the crosspiece which connects them can be the subject of variant embodiments, in particular depending on the type of landing door concerned. For example, instead of being added, the sheet metal used to guide the rectangular panel inside the upright can be part of the upright itself. In addition, depending on the type of landing door, the rectangular panels may differ in width by one amount from the door frame to another.
