Abstract

This door unit is made of strong sheet metal. It comprises crowbar-proof returns 12 and 13 which are concealed and undeformable, and a sill 21 and 22 built-in under the door exhibiting no protruberance on the external face. The hinges 16 are concealed when the door is closed. This door unit according to the invention is particularly intended for improving the security of the entrance to dwellings or premises of all kinds.

Description

 The present invention relates to a metal security door block for a landing door providing maximum security.

 This door unit is intended, in a first case, to replace a wooden landing door, while retaining the existing wooden frame serving as a support for fixing the door unit; in a second case, also replace the wooden frame with a sealed metal frame, forming a frame.

 The models existing to date are undoubtedly effective in terms of security, but reveal outside protruding profiles when an anti-clamping system is provided and inside, bulky hinges visible.

 This door unit according to the invention eliminates these two drawbacks, while increasing safety.

 First case.

 The frame, the elements of which are welded together, is made of heavy sheet metal (1 and 2j the high crosspiece, not shown in the sketch, conforms to the upright (2). This frame will be fixed in the rebate of the existing frame (3 and 4 ).

The door jamb, on the closing side, is made of heavy sheet metal with folds which reinforce its rigidity (6). On this amount will be fixed the lock of a carainée type (7).

 The inward part of the door is made of a strong bent sheet (8) and welded on one side to the upright (5) and the other on the upright (6) o On this sheet is fixed a chipboard panel (9) aligned with the lock (7). Ge panel is covered, either with a fusible veneer t10) imitating wood, or by a padding.

 The outward part of the door is made of a strong plate (11) bent outwardly, forming two anti-clamp returns (12 and 1S). This cable is welded #on the upright (6) and the sheet (8).

On this sheet is fixed a panel of agglomerated wood (14) between the returns (12 and 13), thus making them invisible and undeformable.

This panel is covered with a fusible veneer imitating wood (15).

 The pivoting consists of six ball hinges (16) welded on the one hand to the frame (1) and on the other hand to the upright (5).

 The hinges (16) are invisible when the door is closed, thanks to a covering system made of anodized aluminum profiles. This system consists of a U (17) fixed behind the frame (1) and a plate (18) coming in alignment with the panel (..9), this plate is fixed on a sheet metal U (19) even fixed on the amount (5). When the door opens, the plate (18) pivots behind the U (17).

 The plate (18) the panel (9), the lock (7) and the keeper (20) form a flat surface.

 The threshold (Figure 2) consists of a strong folded sheet (21) welded to the frame (1 and 2) then fixed to the ground, another folded sheet (22), welded under the door, its most high located under the panel (14). When the door is closed, the sheet (21) is embedded under the door against the sheet (22) thus making it possible to have no projecting part of the door at the same time as increased security.

 Second case (Figure 3).

 Either the existing wooden frame is removed or the door block is installed in new construction.

 The frame forming a frame is made of folded strong sheet (23 and 24). The returns are trapped in the masonry (25) for better anchoring in it. The sealing tabs (26) are welded to the frame (23 and 24) o The high crosspiece, not shown in the sketch, conforms to the uprights (23 and 24).

This door unit according to the invention is particularly intended to reinforce the security of the entry of dwellings or premises of any kind.

Claims (4)

 1) Safety metal door block for landing door characterized in that the anti-clamp returns (12 and 13) are invisible and non-deformable, in that profiles, U (17) and flat (18) cover the ball hinges (16) in order to make them invisible when the door is closed and in that the threshold (21) is embedded under the door.  2) Metal door unit according to claim 1 characterized in that the chipboard panel (14) makes the anti-clamp returns (12 and 13) invisible and undeformable by its fixing therebetween.  3) Metal door unit according to claim I characterized in that the flat (18) pivots behind the U (17).  4) metal door unit according to claim 1 characterized in that the sheet (22) covers the threshold (21) when the door is closed.
