Abstract

The lock has one or more components in semi hardened steel for each closure. A flat bar (2) is fixed to the shutter by threaded studs (4) held in place on the inside by counter screws (5). The studs fit through oblong openings in a bracket (3) of the same material which is screwed into the frame and are locked in position by nuts (5b). The flat bar is usually 320 millimetres long, 20 millimetres high and between 6 and 10 millimetres thick. The closing drive may also consist of two button headed screws fixed to the shutter by counter screws and held in position in the bracket by round nuts. For fixed or hinged roller blinds the bracket is screwed into pegs bedded in the sill.

The invention belongs to the field of locksmithing (section E class 05B subsection 73/00 of the international patent classification).

 The object of the present invention is to ensure, by simple and inexpensive means capable of being installed by the insured themselves and easily maneuverable, the inviolability of the homes whatever their situation and their environment and to contain consequently the cost of the theft premium that the insured objects have a significant sentimental or material value, the security system according to the invention being either 3-point security or 5-point security.

Whether folding shutters, opening shutters, doors, windows, French windows, the classic security closing system relies on 2 or 3 fixing hinges on each side of the opening and a Espagnolette staples by its hook-shaped ends in trunnions sealed in the frame or sliding its rod operated by a cremone bolt in notches also made in the frame.

 This system can be reinforced by a removable wooden or metal bar having a length slightly less than the width of the opening, housed across the latter on two brackets placed either on a shutter or on a folding louver element of on either side of the spanish at equal distance from the latter and the hinges, ensuring the rigidity of the assembly.

 Regarding roller shutters whether wooden, plastic, sheet iron or aluminum, their safety has long been ensured by the anchoring of their roller, their side rails and an ordinary lock at the low point of their race.

 These devices are not crowbar proof and in reality only offer moral deterrence.

The device proposed by the inventor offers a practical and inexpensive solution to this weakness by a graduated response according to the risk incurred and the money that the insured is ready to invest to acquire a system for protecting his home.

 Thanks to its great ease of positioning and combination, the device according to the invention adapts to all types of openings.

A 90 "square in semi-hard sheet steel provided with 3 ears, the two placed at the ends have an oblong hole of diameter 4.5 mm and length 20 mm, this sheet itself being pierced with four countersunk holes diameter 5 mm intended to receive wood, metal or concrete screws, or, depending on the profile of the frame, a similar bracket whose opening angle varies from 45 to 890, these brackets being 320 mm long and 25 mm wide with countersunk holes, 40 mm for the extreme ears and 30 mm for the central ear.

 A semi-hard steel flat iron with a length of 320 mm, a height of 20 mm and a thickness of 10 mm, to which are permanently fixed by any mechanical means such as welding or screwing threaded nipples of diameter M8 in semi-hard steel tightened on the flat iron by a lock nut and on the bracket by a threaded wheel. This device is preferred in the equipment of windows on the ground floor because it provides superior protection.

 The mounting of the brackets from the 1st floor of a dwelling will be identical to that of the ground floor, but security will be advantageously ensured by two domed head screws of diameter M8, either fixed to the flap or rolling by a lock nut, and locked square with knurled washers, either by a flat iron 320 mm long, 20 mm high and 6 mm thick, fitted with four M5 threaded holes.

 FIGURE 1 is the view of a window opening in the French style provided with two solid shutters (1) with double hinge closing with a not shown in the drawing.

 The left flap is in the closed position and has two flat bars (2), one in the high position, the other in the low position.

 The right part of the window, the shutter of which is in the open position, shows the top and bottom brackets (3) permanently fixed to the frame using four M8 diameter screws compatible with the material from which it is made. The threaded pins (4) of the flat iron (2) are housed in the oblong holes of the bracket (3) and are held in place from the inside by means of knobs not shown in the drawing, the flat iron being itself - even fixed to the shutters by two lock nuts (5).

 FIGURE 2 shows a window located on the first floor of a house with single or double shutters. Security is ensured by two domed head screws (4bis) of diameter M8 fixed through the flap (1) and held in place with locknuts (5).

 FIGURE 3 shows how the open-frame assembly with flat iron (2) and threaded pins (4) passing through the ears of the bracket (3) is secured by means of two knobs (5bis).

 FIGURE 4 shows how the crossings located on the floor can be secured by two screws (4bis) with raised head.

 FIGURE 5 is a sectional view of two types of brackets (3) usable according to the profile of the frame which can be 900 or with variable inclination between 450 and 890.

 FIGURE 6 represents a ground floor window provided with a rolling shutter (6), with projection or not, on which a flat iron (2) is placed in the middle of the bottom of the opening, its two threaded studs (4) being turned inward and being housed in the bracket (3) when the shutter is in the closed position.

 FIGURE 7 shows a window located on the upper floor of a dwelling closing with a shutter (6) on which is crimped on the inside face of its lower frame a flat iron (2bis) of length 320 mm, height 20 mm and d '' thickness 6 mm, fitted with four M5 threaded holes. A bracket (3) whose opening angle depends on the profile of the frame on which it rests is fixed by means of two knurled screws of diameter M8 penetrating through the oblong holes of the extreme ears and tightened in the sealed ankles in the supporting frame.

 The flat iron and the square are secured after lowering the flap by means of four screws tightened in the four tapped holes M5.

 FIGURE 8 shows a window closing with two folding louvers (7) on which are fixed at the upper and lower ends of threaded nipples (4) by means of knobs (5bis), in order to fit into the ears (3bis) of the 'bracket (3) fixed on the window sill.

 The invention will be better understood from the applications which follow, said exemplary embodiments not being limiting since the device according to the invention can be adapted to all types of openings.

 1- Window located on the ground floor of a house with a single-leaf shutter (1).

 Figure 1 on the open leaf side gives the typical diagram of the mounting of two flat bars (2) secured to the two brackets (3) by the knobs (5bis) of Figure 3.

 2- Window or French window on balcony located on the upper floors of a house with a single-leaf opening shutter. The security system only has a flat iron fixed at the bottom of the window sash, at the top for the door or the French window. Economically, security can be ensured by two domed head screws (4bis) of diameter M8 as in FIG. 4.

 3- Window located on the ground floor of a house fitted with double shutters, as shown in Figure 1. This window will be provided with four flat bars (2), two per shutter.

 4- Window or French window located on the upper floors of a dwelling provided with opening shutters with two leaves (1) as shown in FIG. 2. This cross will be provided with two pairs of raised head screws (4bis), one pair per flap, in the low position in the case of a window or in the high position in the case of a French window.

 5- Door or window located on the ground floor or window door located on the upper floor of a house closed by a roller shutter (6). It will be fitted with a single safety iron (2) as shown in FIG. 6.

 6- Window according to FIG. 7 located on the upper floor of a dwelling closed by a rolling shutter (6) terminated by a transverse frame inside which is crimped a flat iron (2bis) into which a bracket (3) is screwed using four M5 screws. The shutter is locked in the closed position by the extreme ears of the bracket (3) which come to rest on the part of the fixed frame and which are fixed to it with two knurled screws of diameter M8 penetrating into ankles provided for this purpose. A variant of this application consists in securing the shutter by domed head screws (4bis) coming to immobilize the bracket (3) on the lower frame of the rolling shutter.

 7- Window according to Figure 8 closed by two folding louvers (7) at the upper and lower ends of which are threaded studs (4) by means of lock nuts (5) so that the end of the threaded stud (4) can fit into the ear (3bis) of the bracket (3) fixed on the window sill (lower part) and on the frame above the opening of the latter (upper part) in order to '' secure the flaps to the frame and the support coping.

 When the window is located upstairs, the threaded stud can be replaced by raised head screws (4bis) of diameter M8 as shown in FIG. 4.

Claims (5)

 1. Safety locking device for opening shutters (1), rolling shutters sliding in a fixed or articulated frame (6), folding shutters (7) for windows, doors and window doors characterized by the use of one or more sheet metal elements semi-hard steel by closure element, a flat iron (2) being inserted into oblong openings formed in a square (3) of the same material screwed onto the frame of the opening, the flat iron (2) being fixed to the shutter by threaded studs (4) held in place from the inside by lock nuts (5), and locked on the bracket by thumbwheels (5bis).  2. Safety locking device for opening shutters (1), rolling shutters sliding in a fixed or articulated frame (6), folding shutters (7) for doors, windows and window frames according to claim 1, characterized in that the element in semi-hard steel sheet placed on the sash is a flat iron (2) of length 320 mm, height 20 mm, thickness 10 mm secured to two threaded studs (4) of semi-hard steel held in place from the inside by locknuts (5), the flat iron (2) being locked on the bracket by knobs (5bis).  3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the closing element is constituted by two domed head screws (4bis) of diameter M8 fixed to the flap by a lock nut and locked at right angles by thumbwheels (5bis).  4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the sheet steel element is a flat iron (2bis) of length 320 mm, height 20 mm, thickness 6 mm, provided with four tapped holes M5, secured to the bracket (3) after lowering the roller shutter by means of four screws tightened in said holes, the bracket (3) having an opening angle which depends on the profile of the frame on which it is fixed.  5. Device according to claim 1 for roller shutters, characterized in that a flat iron (2bis) of length 320 mm, height 20 mm and thickness 6 mm is crimped on the inner face of the transverse member of the shutter ( 6) and provided with four threaded holes of diameter M5 allowing it to be pegged to the frame through the openings of the bracket (3).
