Definitions

  • the invention relates to a two-component packaging, which consists of a one-part bottom container receiving the main component and a one-part head container receiving the additional component, which is placed on or in the bottom container and one of which is elastically deformable in the direction of the boundary wall.
  • a two-component packaging which consists of a one-part bottom container receiving the main component and a one-part head container receiving the additional component, which is placed on or in the bottom container and one of which is elastically deformable in the direction of the boundary wall.
  • an application tip and a punching tool which serves to puncture the boundary wall of the container, which is designed as a separating film, and which extends into the vicinity of the separating film, in the form of a knife which is adapted to the cross section of the container, but is slightly smaller than this, with struts arranged in a basket-like manner, which extend into the vicinity of the wall of the container surrounding the knife.
  • the task was therefore to further develop this packaging in such a way that the time required for mixing was shortened considerably and the mixing intensity was significantly improved.
  • the solution consists in the configuration according to claim 1.
  • the punching tool is then designed in the form of a knife adapted to the cross section of the container.
  • the knife designed in this way must be made slightly smaller than this cross-section so that movement relative to the other container is possible.
  • struts arranged in a basket-like manner are molded onto the knife.
  • the knife When deforming the dentable bottom of the bottom container, the knife is simultaneously displaced in the direction of the separating film by means of the struts.
  • the separating film is cut open over a large area, thus creating a maximum passage cross-section for combining the two components.
  • the struts are sharp-edged and only arranged in the upper third of the punching tool. They form a constriction on approximately half the diameter of the punch.
  • the connection of the punching tool to the dentable bottom of the floor container is done by a weakly conically shaped support element on the punching tool.
  • the separating film forming the end of one of the containers is an aluminum film coated at least in the edge area on both sides with thermoplastic material.
  • This separating film connects the bottom container and the head container tightly to one another with an annular part covering the flange of this container, inductive welding resulting in a tight weld seam in the region of the flanges of the two containers.
  • the flange connection described here is of particular importance because it is in the flange area. both containers are under a certain tension, under which the required welding pressure is generated during welding. This effect can be intensified by corrugating the containers in the flange area.
  • the advantage of the two-component packaging according to the invention lies in the surprisingly improved mixing effect compared to the known packaging of the prior art. This significantly shortens the required mixing time.
  • containers made from a wide variety of materials can be welded to one another and the choice of material for both the bottom and the head container can be optimally adjusted to the respective filler. It no longer has to be possible to weld the container materials as such, but only with the plastic coating of the separating film, which lies against one container wall. Since there is a wide range of variation with regard to the plastic coatings of the separating film, which can be different on both sides, the optimally adapted separating film can be used for practically every container material.
  • the term separating film is chosen here because it is the film to be cut by the punching tool in order to combine the filling substances of both containers with one another.
  • the separating film fulfills an exactly opposite function, namely that of the tight connection between the two containers. If it is also sufficient to coat the aluminum foil used for this with plastic only in the edge area, because only there is the plastic coating required for welding, it is advisable to coat the aluminum foil in its entirety on both sides, if only because a continuous coating is easier is to be produced.
  • the method for producing the two-component packaging according to the invention is that one of the containers after filling with the one filler with the separating film is sealed on the end face, which is done in the usual way with a heated welding stamp or ring-shaped welding jaws adapted to the plan. After the other container filled with the second filling substance has been inserted into the flange, the top and bottom containers are inductively welded together from the outside.
  • packs with a non-circular, for example oval and rectangular plan can also be welded easily and securely.
  • Bottom and head containers are made of plastic with a wall thickness of 0.3 to 0.6 mm.
  • the wall thicknesses of the other container parts of the head container and of the base container are appropriately kept thicker in order to give them sufficient rigidity and are approximately 1 to 1.5 mm.
  • the main and additional containers can also consist of other material, for example conventional materials such as glass and metal, if this should be appropriate for certain reasons, for example because the filling would attack plastic or the filling substances before or develop significant pressures after merging.
  • This two-component packaging is ideally suited for cosmetic preparations, such as hair dyes, for example, in that the bottom container absorbs H 2 0 2 solution and the head container the dye cream.
  • a wide range of applications is in the chemical sector, for example in the manufacture and use of two-component adhesives, e.g. B. on the basis of epoxies and suitable hardening agents and in two-component paints, for example for automotive painting.
  • a known packaging made of injection-moldable or blow-molding thermoplastics as described in DE-A-2 724 519, consists of the one-piece bottom container 2 for the main component-1 (FIG. 1) and the one-piece head container 3 receiving the additional component 11 Pressing in the bottom container 2, which returns to its starting position after the pressure has ceased, a pumping effect can be achieved.
  • the wall thickness of the bottom container 2 is approximately 0.3 to 0.5 mm.
  • the film 7 consists of aluminum and is coated on both sides with thermoplastic.
  • the knife 12 is adapted to the cross section of the head container 3.
  • the cross section of the knife 12 is slightly smaller than the cross section of the bottom container 2.
  • the knife 12 can be displaced in the direction of the separating film 7.
  • the knife 12 is further supported by the struts 6 arranged in a basket-like manner against the lower part of the base container 2. Seen in height, the struts 6 with the knife 12 occupy almost the entire interior of the head container 3. When the bottom container 2 is pressed in, the knife 12 cuts through the separating film 7.
  • the struts 6 are formed with sharp edges and are connected to one another by webs at their end facing away from the knife 12.
  • the knife 12 has a stump zone at the point 14. At this point there is no cutting through of the film 7. After cutting out, the film 7 cannot block the outlet opening of the application tip 4 because it is connected to the head container 3 like a hinge.
  • the bottom container 2 has an accordion-like area 15.
  • the punch 6, 12 is located in the bottom container 2.
  • the punch 6, 12 is also locked at 21 on the bottom of the container 2.
  • Centering lugs 16 are also provided for centering the knife 12.
  • the head container 3 is closed by the separating film 7.
  • the separating film 7 covers the container 3 and connects the bottom container 2 and the head container 3 tightly to one another. In the area of the flanges 18, 19 there is namely a tight weld seam by inductive welding.
  • the base container 2 is pressed together in order to additionally achieve a pump effect if necessary.
  • the contents of the head container 3 are then mixed with that of the base container 2 by shaking the packaging.
  • the floor container 2 has a circular cross-section.
  • the floor container 2 has a region 22 that can be dented inwards.
  • the punch 23, 24, 12 a, b, c is at the bottom of the container 2 at 21 locked.
  • the basket-like struts 24 are arranged in the upper third of the punching tool. They are constricted to about half the diameter of the knife 12.
  • the support element 23 is integrally formed on the punching tool. It is weakly conical. The support element 23 forms the connection of the punching tool with the dentable bottom 22 of the container 2.
  • the punching knife 12 consists of the three cutting elements 12a which each run to a point and are regularly distributed over the circumference of the punching tool. b, c.
  • the head container 3 is closed by the separating film 7.
  • the separating film 7, on the other hand, is fitted into the flange 19 of the bottom container 2. In the area of the flanges 18, 19 there is a tight weld seam by inductive welding.
  • the application tip 4 is overlaid by the screw cap 25.
  • the container 2 is pressed into the bottom region 22.
  • the contents of the head container 3 are then quickly mixed with that of the base container by shaking the packaging.
