Dabei wird die Rampe 15, die bei 29 am inneren Teil 11 des Riegels 3 drehbar gelagert ist, wie aus Fig. 7 ersichtlich, während der Bewegung des inneren Teils 11, durch den Nockenfolger 18 etwas angehoben und gleitet über diesen hinweg. In der, in der Fig. 8 gezeigten Stellung, in der der Riegel 3 wieder versperrt ist, ist die durch eine nicht dargestellte Feder vorgespannte Rampe 15 wieder zurückgefallen, und der Nockenfolger 18 befindet sich wiederum rechts unten neben der Rampe. Während dem Gleiten der Rampe 15 über den Nockenfolger 18 wird diese Gleitbewegung nicht durch den Schrägnocken 19 behindert, sobald sich der Nokkenfolger 18 in seiner korrekten unteren Stellung gemäss Fig. 6 befindet. A lock mechanism for the leaf of a door, with at least one connecting rod (2) which carries at least one bolt element (2a) and which is arranged to be displaceable parallel to the faceplate (1) of the lock mechanism and which is urged into a closed position by spring force, with a drive member acting on the connecting rod (2) so as to displace the connecting rod against the spring force into an open position, with arresting means (5) cooperating with the connecting rod (2), which automatically engage in the open position of the connecting rod and retain the latter in the open position and which, when the door leaf is closed, are caused to be disengaged by the door-locating frame, and with a bolt (3) which can be moved transversely to the connecting rod (2) by means of a key, characterised in that the bolt (3) constitutes the drive member for displacing the connecting rod (2) and is coupled to the connecting rod (2) by a drive transmission (15,18) which converts the displacing force acting in the opening direction of the bolt into a displacing force acting in the opening direction of the connecting rod, and in that in the drive transmission there is provided a coupling element (14) which transmits force only in the direction of the opening movement of the bolt (3), which is disengaged upon reaching the open position of the bolt (3) and which does not transmit force in the direction of the closing movement of the bolt.

A lock mechanism according to Claim 1, characterised in that the coupling element (14) has a ramp (15) movably mounted on the bolt (3) and with an ascending working surface (16) which cooperates with a cam follower (18) of the connecting rod (2) and extends, in the displacement direction of the connecting rod, over its entire opening travel and, in the displacement direction of the bolt, only over part of its opening travel, wherein in the closed position of the bolt (3) the ramp (15) supported by an abutment against the bolt faces the cam follower (18) with its working surface (16) and acts thereon to transmit force during the opening travel of the bolt, whereas when the bolt (3) is situated in the open position the ramp (15) faces the cam follower (18) with its rear side and deflects the latter, during the closing travel of the bolt (3), so as to lift it from the abutment.
3. A lock mechanism according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the bolt (3) is made of two parts, with an inner part (11) which can be displaced by the key, and with an outer part (10) which cooperates in locking manner with the door-locating frame and is coupled to the inner part (11) with end play, and in that the coupling element (14) is disposed on the inner part (11) of the bolt.
4. A lock mechanism according to any of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the bolt (3) can be actuated by the key via a force-transmitting gear (26).
5. A lock mechanism according to Claim 2, characterised in that the operating surface (16) of the ramp (15) has portions of different gradient and/or non-sloping rest portions.

A lock mechanism according to Claim 2, characterised in that an immobile inclined cam (19) is disposed on the rear side of the ramp (15) on the bolt (3), which inclined cam extends only over part of the travel distance of connecting rod (2) and bolt (3), and during the closing travel of the bolt exerts a closing force on the cam follower (18) of the connecting rod, if the latter is situated in the open position.
