Definitions
- the invention relates to an outsole with cams for sports shoes, in particular soccer shoes, with fastening projections projecting from the running side of the outsole, to which the cup-shaped cams are exchangeably fastened.
- cam soles are understood to mean those athletic shoe soles on which gripping elements - predominantly made in one piece with the sole - are formed in a number of up to 20, these gripping elements having a certain elasticity and flexibility due to their material.
- Such cam soles are preferably used by athletes when the elastic deformability of the cams - in contrast to the regularly hard interchangeable studs - and the resulting damping are to be used. This is especially true on hard places and floors, on which nevertheless on a gripping element effect cannot be dispensed with.
- Cam soles are also widely used in the training of football players, as they are perceived as being gentle.
- cam soles A problem that has always existed for the cam soles is that after the cams wear out, the entire sole and thus the sports shoe are unusable, even if the shaft is still in order. Therefore, in order to harmonize the life of the cam sole with that of the entire sports shoe, it is necessary to manufacture the cam sole from a plastic material that is very resistant to wear. Since this makes the sole relatively expensive, it has also been proposed to manufacture the cams solely from a wear-resistant material and to connect them to the sole made of cheaper material in the casting process. However, this has the disadvantage that the harder material of the cams takes away to a considerable extent the elasticity and damping properties that have just been dominated by cams.
- cam soles of the type described at the outset in which "cam caps” made of wear-resistant material can be fastened to fastening attachments of the outsole, which carry an external thread, by screws (FR-PS 20 70 253).
- a disadvantage of these known cam soles is that the fastening approaches are often irreparably damaged if the athlete fails to replace the cam caps in good time before the running side is completely worn out.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a cam sole of the type described above, the sole body of which is made of a relatively cheap material and which carries interchangeable cams made of a highly wear-resistant material, without the damping properties of the cams being lost and a temporarily ignored one Extensive wear of the cams renders the attachments of the outsole unusable.
- each fastening attachment has a shoulder pointing towards the running side of the outsole, that a sleeve can be slid onto the attachment attachment, which sleeve has at least one hook element which can be moved through an associated opening in the sleeve wall and engages behind the shoulder of the associated attachment attachment , and that a cam can be plugged onto the sleeve, the hook element which engages behind the shoulder protrudes slightly beyond the opening and is in frictional engagement with the inner surface of the cam.
- the cam sole according to the invention thus has fastening attachments which are not designed as screw attachments with an external thread, but only at a certain distance from their free end, between the latter and the running side of the outsole, have a shoulder pointing towards the running side.
- the cams from a single cap or thimble-shaped "cam shell" High-strength plastic material is attached to these attachment lugs by means of a sleeve that adheres to the inside of the shoulder by means of the hook element, that is to say by positive locking, on the shoulder, but on the outside surface by the slightly protruding hook element holds the cam shell by press fit or a corresponding frictional connection.
- the cam shell itself ensures that the hook element cannot move out of the form-fitting engagement with the shoulder through the opening of the sleeve wall, so that the cam cannot be removed from the fastening attachment without removing the cam from the sleeve.
- Grip surfaces can be provided on the outer surface of the cam or cam shell, which allow a tool to be pulled off while overcoming the prevailing frictional engagement with the sleeve. This is necessary if the tread surface of the cam shell is worn out to such an extent that there is a risk of damage to the associated attachment projection.
- the sole body including the one-piece fastening lugs made of a relatively soft and consequently not particularly wear-resistant plastic material, for example made of PVC.
- the cams or cam shells expediently also the sleeves, consist of a very wear-resistant plastic material, for example of a polyurethane. Since the cams only form an outer "covering" for the attachment lugs of the outsole, the overall arrangement of the cam / attachment lug retains the damping flexibility typical of cams and desired.
- the attachment projections each protrude from the bottom of a shallow depression into the running side of the outsole, into which the edge of the cam or cam shell is fitted in the attached state. Since this causes forces acting parallel to the outsole, which load the cams, not only to be transmitted by the fastening lugs alone, but also by the edges of the depressions, it is possible in this way to choose the frictional connection between the cam shells and the sleeves less strictly, which is what easier pulling off, if desired, benefits.
- the attachment lugs for the cams can also be connected to the main body of the outsole in such a way that they are embedded and anchored therein by means of a fastening plate. This gives the option of one for the mounting lugs as well choose a material that differs from the sole and is particularly resiliently elastic in order to compensate for a loss in mobility and resilience of the cams due to their harder material.
- the attachment lugs 2 project from the bottom 3 of a flat circular depression 4 and have a length of, for example, 10 mm.
- Each attachment lug 2 has a shoulder 5 directed towards the bottom 3 approximately in the middle of its length
- a shown us isffleard t Gameend the circular cross section of the fixing lug 2 is annular.
- the distance of the shoulder 5 from the floor 3 is denoted by a.
- a sleeve, designated as a whole by 6 can be pushed onto the attachment projection 2 (FIGS. 2a, 2b), which may also consist of PVC.
- the attachment projection 2 (FIGS. 2a, 2b), which may also consist of PVC.
- diametrically opposed hook elements 7 are formed, which "grow" at the lower edge of an opening 8 that completely penetrates the sleeve wall and, in the unloaded state, protrude beyond the outer circumference of the sleeve 6 in the manner shown in FIG. 2a.
- the hook elements 7 have hook surfaces 9, which completely leave the interior of the sleeve 6 in the state shown in FIG. 2a.
- the inside diameter of the sleeve 6 is matched to the outside diameter of the attachment projection 2 in the region of the shoulder 5 and also at its foot directly in the vicinity of the base 3, so that the sleeve 6 can be pushed onto the attachment projection 2 with little play at best.
- the cam or cam cap 10 has an outer frustoconical shape with a tread surface 11 and with a smooth-walled cylindrical inner recess 12, the diameter of which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the sleeve 6.
- the cam 10 is cylindrical over an area 13 corresponding approximately to the depth of the recess 4 and adapted in the outer diameter to the diameter of the recess 4.
- a circumferential annular groove 14 is provided below the cylindrical region 13 as a gripping surface for inserting a pulling tool.
- the sleeve 6 is first pushed onto the fastening projection 2 to such an extent that the upper edge of the sleeve 6 (in FIG. 2a) abuts the bottom 3. In this position, the hook surfaces 9 of the hook elements 7 are largely exactly at the level of the shoulder 5, but do not engage behind them, since they are still unloaded within the opening 8. The distance of the hook surfaces 9 from the upper edge of the sleeve 6 thus corresponds to the distance a of the shoulder 5 from the floor 3.
- the hook elements 7 are pushed through the associated openings 8 of the sleeve wall are pivoted in so that their hook surfaces 9 engage behind the shoulder 5 of the fastening projection 2.
- the radial extension of the hook elements with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve 6 is slightly larger than the ring width of the shoulder 5 and the thickness of the sleeve wall together, the radially inner end of the hook elements lies against the outer surface of the attachment projection 2 while they are still slightly above the The outer surface of the sleeve 6 protrude.
- the further pushing the cam 10 onto the sleeve 6 can therefore only under a certain location union elastic deformation of the hook elements 7 and / or the inner wall of the cam 10 take place. This results in a high frictional engagement between this inner wall and at least the hook elements, but possibly also a part of the outer surface of the sleeve 6 adjoining the hook elements, by means of which the cam 10 is firmly connected to the sleeve 6. Since the sleeve 6 is in turn held in a form-fitting manner by the hook elements 7 on the shoulder 5, the cam 10 can only be removed from the fastening attachment 2 if the cam 10 has previously been removed from the sleeve 6 using a pull-off force which corresponds at least to the pressing force is withdrawn again.
- the dimensional relationships of the inner recess 12 and the hook elements 7 are selected such that the pulling force is in any case considerably greater than the force that is to be expected in the longitudinal direction of the fastening attachment 2 when the sports shoe is used.
- the cam 10 is interchangeable, but is not detachably connected to the fastening projection 2 by itself. Since this and also the sleeve 6 have the elastic flexibility of the sole material and the cam 10, which preferably consists of a wear-resistant polyurethane, cannot compensate for this flexibility, this results in a cam sole with the typical flexibility of the cams, but the cams do Wear can be replaced.
- the particular advantage of the solution proposed here is still that that after the running side 11 of the cam 10 has been worn to such an extent that the inner recess 12 is exposed, there is a risk that the free end of the fastening projection 2 will also be damaged.
- the shoulder 5 is located at a considerable distance from it, the further usability of the fastening approach 2 is not endangered.
- the secure mounting of a new cam 10 and, if applicable, sleeve 6 is not impaired, since the sleeve 6 is supported in the region of the shoulder 5 and in the vicinity of the base 3.

Description
The invention relates to an outsole with cams for sports shoes, in particular soccer shoes, with fastening projections projecting from the running side of the outsole, to which the cup-shaped cams are exchangeably fastened.
According to common usage, cam soles are understood to mean those athletic shoe soles on which gripping elements - predominantly made in one piece with the sole - are formed in a number of up to 20, these gripping elements having a certain elasticity and flexibility due to their material. Such cam soles are preferably used by athletes when the elastic deformability of the cams - in contrast to the regularly hard interchangeable studs - and the resulting damping are to be used. This is especially true on hard places and floors, on which nevertheless on a gripping element effect cannot be dispensed with. Cam soles are also widely used in the training of football players, as they are perceived as being gentle.
A problem that has always existed for the cam soles is that after the cams wear out, the entire sole and thus the sports shoe are unusable, even if the shaft is still in order. This also applies in principle to those cam soles of the type described at the outset, in which "cam caps" made of wear-resistant material can be fastened to fastening attachments of the outsole, which carry an external thread, by screws (FR-PS 20 70 253). A disadvantage of these known cam soles is that the fastening approaches are often irreparably damaged if the athlete fails to replace the cam caps in good time before the running side is completely worn out.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a cam sole of the type described above, the sole body of which is made of a relatively cheap material and which carries interchangeable cams made of a highly wear-resistant material, without the damping properties of the cams being lost and a temporarily ignored one Extensive wear of the cams renders the attachments of the outsole unusable.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that each fastening attachment has a shoulder pointing towards the running side of the outsole, that a sleeve can be slid onto the attachment attachment, which sleeve has at least one hook element which can be moved through an associated opening in the sleeve wall and engages behind the shoulder of the associated attachment attachment , and that a cam can be plugged onto the sleeve, the hook element which engages behind the shoulder protrudes slightly beyond the opening and is in frictional engagement with the inner surface of the cam.
The cam sole according to the invention thus has fastening attachments which are not designed as screw attachments with an external thread, but only at a certain distance from their free end, between the latter and the running side of the outsole, have a shoulder pointing towards the running side. The cams from a single cap or thimble-shaped "cam shell" High-strength plastic material is attached to these attachment lugs by means of a sleeve that adheres to the inside of the shoulder by means of the hook element, that is to say by positive locking, on the shoulder, but on the outside surface by the slightly protruding hook element holds the cam shell by press fit or a corresponding frictional connection. The cam shell itself ensures that the hook element cannot move out of the form-fitting engagement with the shoulder through the opening of the sleeve wall, so that the cam cannot be removed from the fastening attachment without removing the cam from the sleeve. Grip surfaces can be provided on the outer surface of the cam or cam shell, which allow a tool to be pulled off while overcoming the prevailing frictional engagement with the sleeve. This is necessary if the tread surface of the cam shell is worn out to such an extent that there is a risk of damage to the associated attachment projection. Nevertheless, such damage to the free end face of the fastening attachment is not critical, because the shoulder which exerts the holding action is arranged only at a certain distance from the free end face, so that its function is not impaired by a certain amount of wear on the attachment attachment. Wear of the sleeve itself is not a problem, since it, like the cam shell itself, can be easily replaced.
In the outsole according to the invention there is a purpose moderately the sole body including the one-piece fastening lugs made of a relatively soft and consequently not particularly wear-resistant plastic material, for example made of PVC. The cams or cam shells, expediently also the sleeves, consist of a very wear-resistant plastic material, for example of a polyurethane. Since the cams only form an outer "covering" for the attachment lugs of the outsole, the overall arrangement of the cam / attachment lug retains the damping flexibility typical of cams and desired.
According to an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the attachment projections each protrude from the bottom of a shallow depression into the running side of the outsole, into which the edge of the cam or cam shell is fitted in the attached state.
Instead of a one-piece design, the attachment lugs for the cams can also be connected to the main body of the outsole in such a way that they are embedded and anchored therein by means of a fastening plate. This gives the option of one for the mounting lugs as well choose a material that differs from the sole and is particularly resiliently elastic in order to compensate for a loss in mobility and resilience of the cams due to their harder material.

To fasten the
As mentioned at the beginning, the particular advantage of the solution proposed here is still that that after the running
In order to ensure that the hook surfaces 9 of the
