Definitions
- the invention relates to a weft thread tensioning device for weaving machines, in particular rapier projectile weaving machines, in weft thread changing operation.
- the invention has for its object to provide a weft thread tensioning device of the type defined at the outset, which can tension all weft threads simultaneously and release each weft thread to be inserted individually. This object is achieved with the help of the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
- the subclaims relate to advantageous developments.
- Fig. 1 shows a weft thread tensioning device with a thread tensioner 1 in the form of a bracket that is rotatable about an axis 2.
- the thread tensioner 1 is guided with a roller 3 on a control disk 4 which is driven by the main shaft of the weaving machine.
- a crossbar 5 of the thread Spanners 1 thus swings in the machine rhythm across a group 6 of weft threads, each of which comes from a supply spool (not shown).
- the crossbar is provided with eight thread troughs 7.
- the thread eyelets are not shown in FIG. 1 for the sake of clarity.
- an electromagnet 18 or 19 is attached (Fig. 4).
- electromagnets 22 are attached in the same way.
- the electromagnets 18, 19 and 22 are also not shown in FIG. 1 for the sake of clarity.
- Each pair of electromagnets, e.g. 18, 19, forms with the associated thread eyelet 10 an electromagnetic holding element 23 for the weft thread.
- the opposite holding element is designated 24.
- a thread brake is provided, of which only one, which is drawn for a weft thread 29, is provided with the reference number 30.
- the weft thread family 6 After passing through the thread tensioner 1, the weft thread family 6 arrives in a donor nozzle 35, the mouth of which ends in front of a projectile 36 in the firing position.
- the nozzle is fed with compressed air via a line 37.
- Each weft thread e.g. the weft thread 29, comes from the supply spool through the thread brake 30, the eyelet 27, the thread groove 14 in the carrier 12, the eyelets 10 and 11 on the crossbar 5, the thread groove 15 in the carrier 13, the eyelet 28 and one Channel 40 in the nozzle 35.
- the ends of all weft threads extend in the nozzle approximately to the mouth thereof.
- the position shown is assumed for the following explanation of the function of the device as a starting position.
- weft threads are held in the same way by their associated holding elements.
- a weft thread - here again the weft thread 29 is considered as an example - the electromagnets 18, 19 and 22 are reversed so that the two eyelets 10 and 11 are repelled and come into contact with the crossbeam 5 and with each other (Fig. 2 ).
- the holding elements 23 and 24 are now open.
- the eyelets 10 and 11 are carried along by it, so that the weft thread can stretch freely into the position 29 'under the influence of the tensile force of the nozzle 35.
- the crossbar moves freely past all weft threads not to be inserted and up into position 5 '.
- the nozzle blows the end of the weft thread 29 into a thread clamp 42 in the projectile 36.
- the thread clamp 42 was previously opened by an opener 43.
- the opener 43 is withdrawn so that the thread clamp 42 closes.
- the thread brake 30 is opened and immediately thereafter the projectile 36 is fired by the associated (not shown) firing mechanism, so that the required weft thread length is drawn off the supply spool and entered into the shed.
- the projectile After the projectile has pulled the weft thread through the shed, it is braked in the catch mechanism and then pushed back a little.
- the thread tensioner 1 is lowered at the same time so that the weft thread remains stretched. An edge thread clamp on both sides of the shed takes over the weft.
- the weft thread is cut through on the weft side by scissors and released on the catch side by the projectile by opening the thread clamp. The thread is struck by the reed.
- the thread section on the weft side is deflected further by the thread tensioner, which is further lowered, and is retracted until its end lies within the outlet of the nozzle.
- the electromagnets 18, 19, 22 are in turn reversed so that they attract the eyelets 10 and 11 and these adhere to them (FIG. 3).
- the weft thread is now held in place by the holding elements 23 and 24. It should be noted here that if the weft thread 29 is to be inserted a second or more times, the electromagnets 18, 19, 22 can remain unchanged in their polarity during this time, so that the associated holding elements are not closed.
- a transport device picks up the projectile ejected from the trap and transports it back to the launch site outside the shed.
- the projectile is opened by the projectile opener 43 and, at the same time, rotated in front of the nozzle 35 by a projectile dispenser (not shown), so that it is ready to take up the next weft thread. The situation is then again as in FIG. 1.
- a control disc 45 has a control cam 46 with a section 46 ', which lifts a thread tensioner 47 with relatively little acceleration from the initial position I into an intermediate position II, so that its crossbar 47' remains in contact with a weft thread 48 to be inserted if it is from a donor nozzle 49 is attracted.
- the weft end 48 'of length x is thus transferred to the projectile at a relatively lower speed, which increases the reliability of the transfer.
- a thread tensioner 55 is provided in the form of a rod 56, which is guided in two grooves 57 and 58.
- the oscillating movement of the rod 56 is caused by a piston rod 59 of a pneumatic or hydraulic working cylinder 60.
- the pressure medium is supplied alternately through a connection 61 or 62.
- the weft threads 63 and 64 run below the rod 56 and are held taut by a donor nozzle.
- the holding elements for holding back the weft threads not to be inserted in the deflected position are not shown for the sake of clarity.
- a cross bar 70 of a thread tensioner 71 is provided with thread guide troughs 72, each of which carries a weft thread 73.
- an electromagnetic holding element 74 In front of each thread trough there is an electromagnetic holding element 74, which is fastened to a support 75, which in turn is supported by a carrier 76 running transversely to the weft thread family.
- Each holding element 74 Consists of an electromagnet 77 with a plunger armature 78. When the electromagnet 77 is not energized, the plunger armature 78 is located in an opening 79 in a support 80 of a next holding element 81.
- the carrier 76 carries the same arrangement of holding elements on the other side of the crossbeam 70.
- a holding element 82 with an electromagnet 83 with plunger armature 84 lies opposite the holding element 74.
- the weft thread 73 comes from the supply spool through a thread brake (not shown), an eyelet 85, below the plunger armature 78, through the thread trough 72 in Crossbar 70 of the thread tensioner 71, below the plunger anchor 84 of the second holding element 82, through a thread eyelet 86, and from there through a (not shown) donor nozzle.
- the operation of the device is similar to that described for Fig. 1. If the weft thread 73 is to be entered, the two electromagnets 77 and 83 are energized, so that the plunger anchors 78 and 84 are attracted and the weft thread can move up and stretch together with the crossbar 70 swinging upwards into position 71 ', and its end can be transferred from the nozzle to the projectile.
- the holding elements remain closed for the weft threads that are not to be entered.
- FIGS. 9 and 10 corresponds in its general structure to FIGS. 7 and 8, only the weft holding elements are constructed differently.
- Each holding element e.g. the holding element 90 consists of a pair of lamellae 91 and 92 with an electromagnet 93 arranged between them.
- the electromagnet When the electromagnet is de-energized, the resilient lamellae of adjacent holding elements press against one another, so that there is no space between them.
- Their contact points are designated by x in FIG. 9.
- the electromagnet 93 is excited so that the lamella 91 is attracted and an intermediate space 96 is created between it and an adjacent lamella 97. If a crossbar 98 of a thread tensioner 99 swings upwards, the weft thread 95 can yield to the tensile force of the transmitter nozzle, so that it is stretched and its end is inserted into the projectile and inserted by it. After the insertion of the weft thread, the weft thread is taken along behind the contact points x of the two slats 91 and 97 during the downward movement of the crossbar 98. The electromagnet 93 is then de-energized so that the weft thread is locked again.
- a crossbar 100 of a thread tensioner has a U-shaped cross section 101.
- a thread guide 102 for a weft thread 103 consists of two slats 104 and 105. The rows of slats are on both sides of the crossbar 100 on a carrier 106. In a groove 107 of the carrier there is a holding element in the form of a thread hook for each thread guide.
- a thread hook 108 in the form of a toggle lever is provided for the weft thread 103 and can be rotated about an axis 109.
- a pull rod 110 is articulated on the toggle lever and is controlled by a main shaft of the weaving machine in accordance with the pattern.
- One end 108 'of the thread hook 108 extends into the crossbar 100 and is hooked there behind the weft thread 103, so that this is prevented from stretching under the pulling force of the transmitter nozzle. However, if the weft thread is to be inserted, the thread hook 108 is turned to the right into the position 108 ", so that the thread hook can let the weft thread 103 go up simultaneously with the crossbar 100 and can be transferred to the projectile for insertion.
- weft thread tensioning device has been described here with a donor nozzle as a transfer means of the weft threads to the gripper projectile, the device can of course also be used with a mechanical transfer device.

Description
The invention relates to a weft thread tensioning device for weaving machines, in particular rapier projectile weaving machines, in weft thread changing operation.
It is known to provide a thread tensioner for each weft thread in a weaving machine in weft change operation. However, this requires complex synchronous control of the movement of the individual clamping levers, which is a disadvantage.

19 angebracht (Fig. 4).Fig. 1 shows a weft thread tensioning device with a
In the
Fig. 3 zeigt diese Lage der Fadenösen. After passing through the
Fig. 5 verdeutlicht dies. The upward movement, i.e. the release movement of the thread tensioner preferably takes place in two phases, a phase in which the weft thread end is transferred to the projectile and a subsequent phase during which the weft thread is released for insertion. 5 illustrates this. A
In the embodiment according to FIG. 6, a
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8, a
The operation of the device is similar to that described for Fig. 1. If the
The holding elements remain closed for the weft threads that are not to be entered.
During the subsequent downward movement of the
The embodiment of FIGS. 9 and 10 corresponds in its general structure to FIGS. 7 and 8, only the weft holding elements are constructed differently. Each holding element, e.g. the holding
Is a weft, e.g. to insert the
For example, a
Although the weft thread tensioning device has been described here with a donor nozzle as a transfer means of the weft threads to the gripper projectile, the device can of course also be used with a mechanical transfer device.
Furthermore, although the invention is described here for rapier projectile weaving machines, it can of course also be used on weaving machines with a different entry device.
