Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for presenting weft threads for a rapier weaving machine according to the preamble of claim 1, and a rapier weaving machine with such an arrangement.

Dies sind weitere Nachteile.EP-A 421 349 describes a device which has two clamping points and, in the manner of a mixed changer, after the transfer of the weft thread to the gripper, provides the relevant clamping point for receiving the inserted weft thread and then clamps the weft thread, the clamping points above or below are arranged below the tissue plane. A first guide element with a slot is provided, through which the weft threads are guided from the weft thread feeders to the clamping points. Because the weft threads are guided in the same plane but are clamped at different levels on both sides of this plane, the weft threads come into contact or cross in the slot or in the path of the weft threads the clamping points and the weft feeders. This is a disadvantage. In one embodiment of the device, the slot is widened at the end in order to prevent the weft thread from being carried along. When the weft thread is taken over by the gripper, it is pulled over the edge formed by the extension, which leads to weft thread breaks. In addition, the paths of the weft threads can cross. These are other disadvantages.

For the presentation of a plurality of weft threads, e.g. four such devices are provided, which are arranged in an upper or lower position and each can be moved up and down individually in order to shift the respective device into a forward position. In particular, the shifting of the device extends the period between two weft thread patterns, which undesirably limits the working speed and the number of weft threads that can be placed. Because each device has a thread guide, the weft threads in each device are displaced with respect to the fabric plane, so that each has an excess length, which leads to crossings of the weft threads. Especially in the case of ribbon-shaped metal thread composite material (Lurex), twisted crepe yarns, microfibers, etc., cranks occur.

Since the two devices work on the principle of a mix changer, the outlay in terms of equipment and the space required for the presentation of a plurality of weft threads is great, which represents a further disadvantage.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention as characterized in the claims solves the problem of creating an arrangement for the insertion of weft threads, so that avoiding the disadvantages mentioned a selective presentation of the weft threads at high Working speed of the loom is guaranteed, and in which the space required for the presentation of the weft thread to be entered is limited to a minimum.

The fact that the assignment of the weft thread feeder to the clamping points ensures cross-free raceways of the weft threads and the displacement of the clamping points in the reference plane does not affect these raceways, by coordinating the movements of the clamping point and the assigned weft thread feeder, the weft thread is presented to the hook in the reference plane, whereby advantageously, the clamping point is adjusted in time in front of the weft feeder in the reference plane in order to shift the weft thread into the slot of the guide member and to prevent contact between the weft threads.

It is advantageous if the distance between the clamping points is at least 1 mm and an actuating device in the form of a stepper motor is used. As a result, the positioning times can be shortened, so that six or more weft threads can be presented to the weaving machine at high working speeds.

This device contains a plate with a slit-shaped opening, with a recess and with a passage opening connecting the opening and the recess, a movable lock for closing the passage opening, a slide with recesses open on one side for receiving the weft threads and for holding the weft threads within the recess and a plunger for ejecting a selected weft thread into the slit-like opening, when the movable barrier of the passage opening is released.

The weft threads are guided from a weft thread spool to the recesses which are open on one side and are only inserted into them. The holder of the weft thread is therefore essentially dependent on the weft thread tension. Due to tension fluctuations, weft loosening occurs, which leads to misalignment of the weft threads and formation of squeegees.

For insertion, the weft thread is ejected into the recess by the slider and left there, while the barrier closes the passage opening. The weft thread lies freely in the recess before being taken over by a gripper (FIG. 2).

According to the description, the weft thread is thus kept in the correct position. Since this holding does not take place in the device, other means must be provided, which are not described, however. It is a so-called color monitor.

In contrast, in the arrangement according to the invention, the end of the weft thread is held at the clamping point. The weft is aligned to the fabric level by the coordinated movement. As a result, the same conditions prevail regardless of which weft thread is presented. In addition to the selection function, the device according to the invention thus also has a positioning function.

Advantageous embodiments result from the dependent claims.

The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The arrangement shown in Fig. 1 consists essentially of a known weft sequence control (not shown) with six weft feeders 1, a controlled thread clamp 2 with six clamping points 3a to 3f and a guide member 4 with a slot 5. The arrangement is in a rapier weaving machine mounted in such a way that the clamping points lie one above the other with respect to the tissue plane, which is referred to below as the reference plane 6, and the slot 5 is arranged in the reference plane 6. The guide member 4 has a recess 7 into which the slot 5 opens.

The weft feeders 1 are staggered so that the guide openings A to F have a different height with respect to the reference plane 6. With the arrangement, six weft threads 8a to 8f are presented. Each weft thread feeder 1 is assigned to a clamping point 3a to 3f such that each weft thread is guided from the clamping point holding the weft thread through the recess 7 to the guide openings A to F essentially parallel and without crossing. Furthermore, there is an adjusting device 9 around the clamping points 3a to 3f with respect to the reference plane 6 and a device 10 for canceling a selected clamping point is provided. The actuating device 9 is a stepper motor which is connected to the weaving machine with a control device (not shown) and is controlled in accordance with a weaving program. The device 10 is, for example, an electromagnet which is fed from the firing sequence control. It is pointed out that instead of the magnet, a lever arrangement can be provided which is coupled to the weft sequence control device.

The actuator 13 is coupled to the actuator 9. The opening element 17 is arranged in the slot 24 in the direction of the double arrow B and is coupled to the device 10.

(Fig. 5). Reference is made to FIGS. 4 and 5, FIG. 4 showing the arrangement from the weaver stand side and FIG. 5 the arrangement from the opposite side. The thread clamp 2 and the guide member 4 are connected to one another and form a functional unit. This functional unit is mounted in the rapier weaving machine by means not shown. The thread clamp 2 is arranged at a predetermined distance with respect to the fabric edge 31 such that the clamping points 3 are each aligned with the compartment tip 32. A symbolically illustrated cutting device 33 is arranged between the thread clamp 2 and the fabric edge 31 (FIG. 5). The mode of operation of the arrangement is described below, the arrangement being brought from the position shown in FIG. 1 to the position shown in FIG. 4, in which the weft thread 8a is presented to the hook 35. The weft thread template is composed of two processes, namely the pivoting of the weft thread feeder 1 in the direction of the reference plane 6 and the displacement of the clamping point 3a into the reference plane 6. As already mentioned, the weft threads 8a to 8f are guided without crossings between the clamping points and the guide openings. This state is maintained when the weft thread feeder is pivoted. On the other hand, the displacement of the nip 3a in the reference plane 6 ensures that the weft thread 8a is arranged in the reference plane 6 and is already inserted into the slot 5 due to the tensile stress acting on the thread. (Fig. 5). Due to this spatial separation of the weft thread 8a from the other weft threads, there is no contact between them when the weft thread is taken over by the gripper 35. After the weft thread 8a has been taken over by the gripper 35, the weft thread end is peeled out of the clamping point 3a and drawn into the shed. During the pulling in of the weft thread 8a, the clamping point 3a is released by the opening member 17 by inserting it between the clamping bodies 12, which form the clamping point 3a. A gap between the clamping bodies 12 is simultaneously formed by this opening member. The weft thread 8a drawn in is inserted into this gap again when struck by the reed (not shown). Before the weft thread 8a is struck, the weft thread feeder 1 is again in the position shown with dashed lines. When struck, the weft 8a is guided through the inlet gap into the slot 5, the weft 8a being guided on the top of the slot 5 due to the position of the weft feeder 1. As a result, the weft thread is introduced into the gap between the clamping bodies 12 in a spatially separated manner from the other weft threads. By retracting the opening member 17, the clamping point is re-established due to the spring force and the weft thread is held in the clamping point. Then the inserted weft thread is cut by means of the cutting device 33. This provides the weft for a new entry.
