Definitions
- the innovation concerns a roof finish consisting of a folded plate.
- An angled plate made of concrete is known, which is arranged along the edge of the roof on a roof skin, the internal vertical leg fixing the subsequent insulation plate and limiting the gravel fill.
- the innovation is based on the task of finding a roof closure that can be easily installed and adapted to the roof geometry as a boundary, which laterally limits the thermal insulation boards and / or gravel.
- the object is achieved in that an at least twice angled profile with filling material is arranged along the edge of the flat roof, the middle, openwork part is supported on the roof skin, while the subsequent legs point upwards.
- This edge formation can be used on flat roofs.
- Such a roof closure is particularly advantageous for a duo flat roof in which part of the thermal insulation lies above the roof skin.
- the profiles can be made of aluminum, zinc, copper, stainless steel or plastic. Because of their low weight, they are easy to handle and can be adjusted by simple cuts for corner designs. The water drainage is hardly hindered by the perforation. By filling with gravel, for example, uniform coverage is achieved over the entire roof area. Furthermore, the amount of filler material can be varied by the height of the legs, so that any required contact pressure can be set.
- the legs provided with edge reinforcement are vertical, the outer leg being narrower in width than the other.
- the upper edge of the leg can be stiffened by a grooved plastic strip or by an additional bevel, so that it does not bend under mechanical stress. Furthermore, the outside narrow leg is not or hardly visible to the viewer from the ground. So the often ugly high borders as a screen can be dispensed with.
- a vertical leg of a right angle is arranged next to the inner leg, the other leg of which rests on the roof skin.
- the roof edge is integrated deeper into the roof structure, which provides additional protection against storms.
- an aperture is arranged in front of the outer leg.
- the claimed construction allows the panel to be easily attached if this is desired for architectural reasons.
- self-adhesive tapes are fastened under the surface of the profile and angle lying on the roof skin.
- the roof edge By pulling off the protective strip from these tapes, the roof edge can simply be glued on, the weatherproof tapes should be attached as far as possible in the direction of the water drain.
- a concrete ceiling 2 On a wall 1 there is a concrete ceiling 2 with a cover 3 on the edge by a cement chipboard and an external plaster 4.
- the concrete cover 2 in turn carries a thermal insulation layer 5 with a wooden plank 6 on the edge for fastening the rain gutter 7
- the roof end consisting of a profile 9 with a narrower leg 10 including edge fold 11, middle part 12 with perforation 13 and wider leg 14 with edge fold 15 and an angle 16 with vertical leg 17 including overlapping edge fold 18 and horizontal leg 19 with perforations 20, the the latter and the rest of the roof is provided with a thermal insulation layer 21.
- Profile 9 and insulation layer 21 are weighted with gravel as filler 22.
- the self-adhesive tapes 23 connect the profile 9 and the roof skin 8.

Abstract
