Abstract
Description
- On a déjà cherché à réaliser de différentes façons des bracelets métalliques formés de maillons articulés'entre eux, dont la partie apparente soit formée de pièces décoratives en métal précieux fixées sur une armature en métal précieux. Mais on s'est heurté à la difficulté suivante : Pour réaliser une fixation solide des pièces décoratives sur l'armature, il serait souhaitable de procéder par soudage électrique par points, mais cette opération a l'inconvénient de produire des marques de fusion du métal sur la face apparente de ces pièces décoratives. Lorsque celles-ci sont .suffisamment massives, on peut à la rigueur éliminer plus ou moins bien ces marques par un travail mécanique approprié, mais délicat. S'il s'agit de pièces en plaqué, il est exclu d'enlever ces marques vu la faible épaisseur du placage.
- La présente invention vise à remédier à cet inconvénient. Elle est basée sur la constatation quelque peu surprenante que, si au lieu de réaliser la soudure par points de la manière classique (consistant à utiliser une forte intensité de courant, de l'ordre de 100 à 200 ampères pendant un temps relativement long, de l'ordre de la seconde, ce qui produit un fort échauffement dans toute la masse des parties à souder) on effectue la soudure par points par décharge de condensateur (ce qui permet de travailler avec des intensités beaucoup plus fortes - par exemple 100 fois plus grandes - mais pendant une durée beaucoup plus courte - par exemple 100 fois plus petite), on évite complètement la formation de marques de fusion sur la face apparente des pièces décoratives, sans doute du fait que l'élévation de température, ailleurs que dans la zone de soudage, reste modérée en raison de la très courte durée de l'opération.
- La présente invention a pour objet, d'une part, un bracelet métallique selon la revendication 1 et, d'autre part, un procédé de fabrication d'un tel bracelet, conforme à la revendication 3.
- Le dessin annexé illustre, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du bracelet selon l'invention et une mise en oeuvre du procédé selon l'invention pour la fabrication de ce bracelet.

- Fig. 1 est une vue en perspective explosée des parties constitutives d'une partie du bracelet, avant leur assemblage.
- Fig. 2 est une vue en coupe longitudinale médiane partielle du bracelet terminé.
- Le bracelet comprend une armature, en acier inoxy-. dable par exemple, qui est formée d'une série d'éléments identiques 1, la, lb, présentant chacun trois parties roulées 2, 3 et 4 définissant chacune un passage cylindrique destiné à recevoir une goupille 5a, 5b, servant à assembler les éléments 1, la, lb et de pivot d'articulation entre eux. A cet effet, les goupilles 5 peuvent être chassées dans les parties latérales 3 et 4 et passer librement dans les parties médianes 2.
- Hormis les parties 2, 3 et 4, les éléments tels que 1 sont plats et destinés à recevoir chacun sur leur face extérieure (par rapport au poignet) une pièce de garniture 6 et, sur leur face opposée, une pièce de garniture 7. Ces pièces 6, 7 sont conformées pour recouvrir entièrement les deux faces principales des éléments tels que 1. Ces pièces de garniture sont soit en métal précieux, soit en plaqué. Dans l'exemple selon fig. 2, on a indiqué les placages d'or en 8 et 9.
- Lorsque l'armature du bracelet est réalisée par assemblage des éléments 1,, la, lb,. etc. au moyen des goupilles 5a, 5b, etc., on dispose les pièces 6 et 7 en position correcte sur l'armature disposée à plat, puis on fixe ces pièces sur l'armature par soudure par points par décharge de condensateur, en appliquant sur les faces apparentes des pièces 6 et 7 des électrodes entre lesquelles on fait passer un courant de très grande intensité - de l'ordre de 10000 à 20000 ampères, par exemple 14000 - pendant le temps très court de la décharge d'un condensateur, de l'ordre de 6 à 16 millisecondes, par exemple environ 10 millisecondes.
- L'expérience montre que, dans ces conditions, le soudage par points des pièces 6, 7 aux éléments tels que 1 de l'armature est tout à fait bon et que la surface apparente de ces pièces n'est pas altérée par le passage du courant pendant ce temps extrêmement court, même s'il s'agit d'un placage d'or. Dans ces conditions, les pièces 6, 7 seront avantageusement en plaqué or laminé.
