- Each section of the duct 4 is held on the chassis of the vehicle 1 by flanges 6 allowing an angular orientation of this section so as to direct the orifices 5 in the best direction to create a sheet of fog sufficiently close to the grindstones 7 to allow picking up grinding dust from them.

- these means of producing the fluid forming the fog layer comprise a heat exchanger 8, the primary circuit of which is supplied by the exhaust gases of a heat engine 9 used to propel the vehicle and to driving an electric generator 10 supplying electric current to the grinding units and to the various installations of the vehicle.
- the exhaust gases from the heat engine 9 having passed through the heat exchanger 8 are discharged into the atmosphere.
- the secondary circuit of the heat exchanger 8 is formed by a coil 11 in which a pump 12 sends water drawn from a reservoir 13. This water is vaporized during its passage through the heat exchanger 8 by the calories which are delivered to it by the exhaust gases and the steam thus obtained is distributed by one or more pipes to the duct 4. This water vapor escapes under pressure through the orifices 5 and thus creates around the lower part of the vehicle a layer of fog confining the particles of grinding dust.
- the grinding dust is captured by this layer of fog and the humidified dust falls to the ground. This effectively prevents the projection of grinding dust into the atmosphere, thereby achieving the desired goal.
- the relatively heavy metal dust is thrown away from the grinding area and downwards, they settle on or near the track without causing damage or inconvenience.
- conduit 4 and its orifices 4 are replaced by conduits 14, 15 supplying water vapor to the nozzles 16, 17 whose orifices are directed towards a grinding wheel 7.
