Abstract

1. Container of folded cardboard, to the base of which supporting elements have been added, spaces being provided between them to give passage to the forks of a pallet conveyor, the said supporting elements consisting of cross-pieces, preferably of wood, made up of at least one sole piece 7 and two studs 4, 5, affixed to the ends of the sole piece, the said cross-pieces being inserted sandwich-wise between the outer and the inner flaps 1 of the container base, the said container being characterized by the fact that the outer flaps have side edges 2 folded to enable the supporting elements to slide and lateral cut-outs 3 in the prolongation of the said folding edges, the said folding edges being returned to the flat position to enable the supporting elements to be locked in their final position situated on a level with the cut-outs 3.

Description

The present invention relates to the palletization of certain containers of corrugated cardboard or other material intended to be handled by different mechanical means, trolley arm, pallet transporter, elevator, etc.

There are many systems for palletizing containers. The latter can be placed on a wooden pallet or any other material, assembled or not previously by stapling, gluing, strapping etc ... There are also accessories that can be fixed in several ways under or through the floor of a container : plastic feet, cardboard, screwed or stapled, etc ..., tins breads like expanded polystyrene, glued etc ... All these devices only partially meet the requirements of users. Let us cite among other disadvantages: for the wooden pallet, its cost, its size, its weight with the considerable use of raw material. For other systems, we may encounter difficulties in using them on a conveyor or in limiting them to two inputs instead of four, etc.

The present invention makes it possible to avoid all these drawbacks.

The device which is the subject of the invention consists mainly in using the bottom flaps, overlapping or covering small or large, of a container of the American box type. These flaps, repressed and cut in an appropriate manner and in suitable locations as required, allow to receive "skids", composed of crosspieces and studs, made of wood or any other material which has as their object the raising of the load. . The dimensions of these elements are variable in all directions and in thickness.

This installation is carried out without equipment and without special skills. When the load or the dimensions of the container impose it, the side members or pads most often made up of two crosspieces between which and at each end of which is fixed 1 stud, can be reinforced by X studs, then separated on the same side d 'one of the 2 cross pieces thus allowing the passage of cardboard or other material forming the floor.

The description which follows by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the appended drawings is only intended to make it clear how the invention can be put into practice.

Fig. 1 shows the flaps 1 of a container of the American box type during assembly.

Fig. 2 shows on a flap from below the upsets 2 and the articulated cutouts 3 or not, according to a first embodiment according to the invention.

Fig. 6 shows a second embodiment in accordance with the invention for higher loads and relatively large container dimensions. A third stud 6 instead of two with deformation of the cross member 8 not fixed to stud 6, to allow the passage of the flap 1 acting as a floor.

In fig. 7 the device object of the invention is shown on container bottoms whose flaps are different. There are also variants in the articulation of the cuts 3.

Fig. 9 shows a container whose assembly is almost complete.

Fig. 10 represents some nonlimiting variants of the folding 2 and of the precut 3 for the stud perpendicular to the cross-member 7.

Fig. 11 re presents an application of the invention on small flaps. The sleepers 7 with the pads 5 are then perpendicular to the length of the container.

Implementation:

Claims (5)

1 - Device making it possible to make a container or part of a container palletizable, without any particular increase in material surface, characterized by the fact that repressed and cut flaps position and fix one or more crosspieces with their studs, with or without sole. 2 - Device according to claim characterized in that the studs when they are intermediate are fixed only on the same side of the cross member thus allowing the passage of the floor. 3 - Device according to claims 1, 2 characterized in that the normally folded flaps close the container by blocking the cross member (s). 4 - Device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that the sleepers thus maintained with their studs ensure the elevation of the container, making it container with integrated pallet. 5 - Device according to claims 1, 2, 3 and 4 characterized in that the locations 3, the shapes, the materials used both of the container that the carrier elements can be adapted as required.
