Abstract

A container has flaps at its lower end which are foldable to form or support bearers 6 which may take the form of transversely extending folded sections. The flap may include a flange 7 which tucks into a sleeve-like strengthening bottom member 8 and a stiffening member 10 may be provided, preferably of corrugated paperboard with the corrugations extending vertically. Alternatively, individual bearers 23 may be supported by the strengthening bottom member 25. <IMAGE>
