Derartige, zylinderseitig anzuordnende Auswerfer stellen sehr komplizierte und störanfällige Bauteile dar, die sich zudem noch im Bereich des Zylinderumfangs als sehr sperrig erweisen. In diesem Zusammenhang kann auch nicht unberücksichtigt bleiben, daß der Abstand der beiden Backen einer Falzklappe vielfach verstellbar ist. Die zylinderseitig im Bereich vor den Falzklappen anzuordnenden Auswerfer müssen daher ebenfalls verstellbar sein. Außerdem ist zu befürchten, daß bei Betätigung der Auswerfer, d. h. bei Freigabe eines Falzprodukts durch die zugeordnete Falzklappe, ein ordnungsgemäßer Produkttransport aufhört. Das aus der Falzklappe aufgehobene Produkt liegt nämlich offenbar nur noch frei auf der Zylinderoberfläche auf, ohne daß ein form- bzw. kraftschlüssiger Eingriff vorhanden wäre. Ganz abgesehen davon sind die hier in Vorschlag gebrachten Auswerfer nur zur Übergabe der Produkte an ein Schaufelrad geeignet. Für eine Übergabe der Produkte an eine wahlweise zum Schaufelrad beaufschlagbare Bandführung enthält die DE-B 1611 283 keinen Hinweis.A folder of this type is known from DE-B 1611 283. Die erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen kommen in vorteilhafter Weise zylinderseitig mit fest eingebauten Messern und ohne zylinderseitig vorgesehene Auswerfer aus, was eine sehr einfache und platzsparende Bauweise gewährleistet. Dennoch ist zuverlässig ausgeschlossen, daß sich im Bereich der Bandführung und/oder des Auslegesterns Kollisionen zwischen diesen Transportorganen und den die Produkte in den diese einleitenden Elementen bzw. zwischen diesen Elementen und den Scherenschnittmessern ergeben. Die dem Auslegestern 21 bzw. der Bandführung 23 zuzuführenden Produkte müssen aus dem Falzklappenzylinder ausgehoben werden. Im Bereich des Auslegesterns 21 ist hierzu eine maschinengestellseitig schwenkbar gelagerte Klappe 24 vorgesehen, welche die auszuhebenden Produkte mit in die Falzklappen 1 eingreifenden Aushebezungen 25 unterfährt. Zur Bewerkstelligung eines sicheren Transports der von der die Aushebezungen 25 jeweils passierenden Falzklappe 1 freigegebenen Produkte ist eine dem Falzklappenzylinder 2 zugeordnete, zwischen Bandführung 23 und Auslegestern 21 angeordnete Andrückwalze 32 vorgesehen. Die Scherenschnittmesser 14 des Falzklappenzylinders 2 sollen, wie weiter oben bereits angedeutet wurde, fest montiert sein. Die Klappe 24 ist daher so gesteuert, daß die Aushebezungen 25 beim Durchgang der über den Umfang des Falzklappenzylinders 2 vorstehenden Scherenschnittmesser 14 über diese hinweg gehen. Die dem Auslegestern 21 zugeführten Produkte werden dabei mit ihrer Hinterkante einfach leicht vom Falzklappenzylinder 2 abgehoben. Zur Bewerkstelligung des erforderlichen Freiraums ist die Andrückwalze 32 hierzu mit einer Abflachung 33 versehen, die beim Durchgang der Scherenschnittmesser 14 dem Falzklappenzylinder 2 zugewandt ist. Die Andrückwalze 32 ist so angetrieben, daß sich im Bereich außerhalb der Abflachung 33 die Falzklappenzylinderumfangsgeschwindigkeit ergibt. Die Andrückwalze 32 kann einfach aus einer Spindei mit aufgesetzten, die Abflachung 33 enthaltenden Nocken bestehen. In der Ruhestellung bei aktivierter Bandführung kann die Andrückwalze 32 einfach so gestellt werden, daß die Abflachung 33 dem Falzklappenzylinder zugewandt ist. Der Antrieb erfolgt daher zweckmäßig über eine eindeutige Kupplung. Bei ausgerückter Kupplung ist die Ruhestellung in Drehrichtung zweckmäßig blockiert. Zur Steuerung der Klappe 24 kann einfach eine im Bereich einer Stirnseite des Falzklappenzylinders 2 angeordnete Steuerscheibe vorgesehen sein, die durch ein Tastorgan 26 abgefahren wird. Die Klappe 24 kann auch bei passiviertem Auslegestern in Betrieb sein, um einen ungehinderten Durchgang der Scherenschnittmesser 14 zu gewährleisten. However, it would also be readily conceivable to simply pivot the flap 24 in the passivated position with the lifting tongues 25 away from the folding jaw cylinder 2 to such an extent that the scissor cut knives 14 can run past unhindered.

Im Bereich der Bandführung 23 ist zum Ausheben der Produkte aus den Falzklappen 1 ein Greiferzylinder 27 mit an einer in Drehrichtung vorangehenden Spindel 28 befestigten Aushebegreifern 29 vorgesehen, welche in die Falzklappen 1 eingreifen und die der Bandführung 23 zuzuführenden Produkte vom Falzklappenzylinder 2 abnehmen und in die Bandführung 23 einziehen. Der Greiferzylinder 27 ist vom Falzklappenzylinder 2 so weit entfernt, daß die Scherenschnittmesser 14 ungehindert vorbeilaufen können. Die Aushebegreifer 29 werden infolge der Drehung des Greiferzylinders 27 automatisch von den Scherenschnittmessern 14 entfernt. Die Aushebegreifer 29 können zweckmäßig so gesteuert sein, daß die der Bandführung 23 zuzuführenden Produkte bereits im Bereich der vorbeigehenden Falzklappe 1 erfaßt und erst wieder losgelassen werden, wenn sie sicher in die Bandführung eingezogen sind, die in an sich bekannter Weise aus einem oberen Bändersatz 30 und einem unteren Bändersatz 31 mit jeweils nebeneinander angeordneten Bändern besteht, zwischen denen die Aushebegreifer 29 hindurchgreifen können. Durch diese Integration des Greiferzylinders 27 in die Bandführung 23 wird eine hohe Lagegenauigkeit der dem Falzschwert 22 zugeführten Produkte gewährleistet. Der Greiferzylinder 27 ist dabei so weit vom Falzklappenzylinder 2 entfernt, daß die über dessen Umfang vorstehenden Scherenschnittmesser 14 die den Greiferzylinder 27 umschlingenden Bänder des oberen Bändersatzes 30 nicht beschädigen. Bei Benutzung des Auslegesterns 21 kann der Greiferzylinder 27 und damit zweckmäßig die ganze Bandführung 23 einfach still gesetzt werden. Hierzu erfolgt der Antrieb des Greiferzylinders 27 ebenfalls über eine eindeutige Kupplung, die mit einem Rastelement versehen ist, so daß sich beim Einkuppeln eine eindeutige Winkellage bezüglich des Falzklappenzylinders 2 ergibt. In der Stillgesetzten Stellung wird der Greiferzylinder 27 zweckmäßig so gestellt, daß seine Aushebegreifer 29 nicht zum Eingriff mit den Falzklappen 1 kommen können. Zweckmäßig kann diese Ruhestellung durch einen Raststift oder dergleichen gesichert sein. Es wäre aber auch denkbar, den Greiferzylinder 27 bezüglich des Falzklappenzylinders 2 abschwenkbar zu lagern.In the exemplary embodiment shown, the gripper cylinder 27 is designed as the deflecting roller adjacent to the folding jaw cylinder 2 of the upper set of belts 30 of the belt guide 23 which leads to the folding jaw cylinder 2. For this purpose, the gripper cylinder 27 is also driven via a clear coupling, which is provided with a latching element, so that there is a clear angular position with respect to the jaw cylinder 2 when coupling. In the inoperative position, the gripper cylinder 27 is expediently set in such a way that its extraction grippers 29 cannot come into engagement with the folding jaws 1. This rest position can expediently be secured by a locking pin or the like. However, it would also be conceivable for the gripper cylinder 27 to be pivotably supported with respect to the jaw cylinder 2.

Claims (10)

1. A folding unit for producing products with at least one transverse fold which are cut parallel to the same, having a knife cylinder (4) co-acting with a folding cylinder (2) which, in the segments between its folding flaps (1) cooperating with guiding devices (24, 25 or respectively 27, 29) passing the products on to forwarding transport elements (21 or respectively 23), has a shearing knife (14) each projecting beyond the circumference of the said folding flap cylinder (2) and respectively co-acting with a second shearing knife (16) mounted on a knife support cylinder (15) adjacent to the said folding flap cylinder (2) and following the knife cylinder (4) in the direction of rotation, characterized in that, following the knife support cylinder (15) in the direction of rotation, the folding flap cylinder (2) co-acts with a belt transport (23) which is spaced form it by at least the amount the shearing knife (14) projects beyond the circumference thereof, and has an upper and a lower set of belts (30 or respectively 31), as well as a gripper cylinder (27) in the form of a guide roller encompassed by one set of belts (30) and contacted by the other set of belts (31), and with controlled grippers (29) which engage with the folding flaps (1) and reach over the shearing knives (14) of the folding flap cylinder (2), and that furthermore, in the segment of a positioning star (21) which follows the belt transport (23) in the direction of rotation and optionally can be acted upon therewith, the foldling flap cylinder (2) co-acts with a controlled flap (24) having lifting fingers (25) which engage with the foldling flaps (1) and reach over the shearing knives (14), as well as with a pressure roller (32) which is adjacent to the said lifting fingers (25) and has a flattened section (33) facing the folding flap cylinder (2) when the shearing knives (14) pass through.
2. The device as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the knife support cylinder (15) is provided with puncture needles (17) adjacent to the shearing knife (16) and positioned in back of it in the direction of rotation.
3. The device as set forth in claim 2, characterized in that the folding flap cylinder (2) is provided with overlays (18) of foam material opposite the rigidly mounted puncture needles (17) of the knife support cylinder (15).
4. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the knife support cylinder (15) has a circumferential segment located behind the cutting site of the shearing knives (14 and 16) which passes through a suction duct (19).
5. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the knife support cylinder (16) has a flattened section (20) external to the shearing knife thereof, is adapted to be driven by a unique clutch and is adapted to be locked in position in the direction of rotation when the clutch is disengaged.
6. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the gripper cylinder (27) is encompassed by the upper set of belts (30) of the belt transport (23).
7. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the gripper cylinder (27) is adapted to be driven by a unique clutch and to be locked in position in the direction of rotation when the clutch is disengaged.
8. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the lift grippers (28) of the gripper cylinder (27) can be controlled by means of a cam adjacent to one end face of the gripper cylinder (27).
9. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the flap (24) associated with the positioning star (21) can be controlled by means of a cam located adjacent to one end face of the folding flap cylinder (2).
10. The device as set forth in one of the preceding claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the pressure roller (32) can be driven via a unique clutch and blocked in the direction of rotation in its in-operative position.
