Description

The invention relates to a storage trough or a storage box made of sheet metal, in particular with a viewing opening, in which or at least the transverse walls have a vertical wall surface and a stacking edge adjoining it at the top, which is formed by a bead which is integrally connected to these folds, and which has a substantially horizontal stacking surface formed by the upper corrugation wall and an approximately vertical boundary surface consisting of the fold for receiving a further storage trough or a further storage box, a hollow profile being formed on the outside on the part of the stacking edge which forms the vertical boundary surface, which has a wall section running obliquely towards the box wall, stiffening with an angled support section against the box wall, and with this, e.g. B. is firmly connected by welding.

Außerdem bewirkt aber das den Stapelrand umgebende Hohlprofil auch noch eine stabilisierende Aussteifung der Kastenwände insgesamt.DE-U-1 997 260 and DE-A-1 786 082 already make stackable storage trays or storage boxes of this type part of the prior art. You have the advantage. that the actual stack edge is protected by the hollow profile surrounding it and is thus secured against buckling or buckling even in rough operation. In addition, however, the hollow profile surrounding the stack edge also brings about a stabilizing stiffening of the box walls as a whole.

A disadvantage of the generic stackable storage boxes of the known type, however, is that the hollow sections shielding the actual stacking edge from the outside have a relatively large projection, so that the storage space required for the adjustment of the individual storage boxes must be considerably larger on all sides than that of the box bottom limited box floor space. This inevitably results in relatively large, unusable cavities between two side-by-side storage boxes of the known type.

Another disadvantage is that the outwardly curved hollow profiles in the corner region of a box can only be connected to one another by complex welding or soldering processes, which in turn entail additional cleaning work. In addition, the curvatures when cutting the flat, undeformed sheet result in complicated development cuts, which in turn make the use of expensive cutting tools necessary.

It has been found to be particularly disadvantageous in the known boxes that the part of the hollow profile which runs back against the box wall is supported against the box wall in the region of the bead. This results in a weak point in the area of the edge which forms the transition from the vertical part of the box wall to the bead, which can lead to a twisting buckling of the stack edge when the stack edge is loaded by other stack boxes.

The invention aims to eliminate these disadvantages, it is therefore the object of finding a spatial shape for a storage trough or a storage box of the generic type made of sheet metal, which despite sufficient securing of the stack edge against buckling and buckling and while maintaining a high overall stability to a reduction the largest outer tub or box dimensions relative to their floor area. The solution to this problem is achieved according to the invention in that the hollow profile has a wall section parallel to the fold forming the vertical boundary surface of the stacking edge, which extends approximately to the height of the lower edge of the bead, and in that the diagonal to the box wall extending wall section is led from the area of the lower edge of the bead to the vertical wall surface and merges there into the angled support section which extends parallel to the vertical wall surface.

It is advantageous that the major part of the hollow profile stabilizing the walls lies approximately at the same height as the bead located below the stacking edge and can thus be limited to the outside by relatively wide, flat surfaces.

In order to avoid buckling or buckling of the stack edge under the action of external forces, the innovation feature specified in the second claim can also prove to be advantageous.

A further stabilization measure to protect the edge of the stack against undesired forces can also be achieved after the innovation by the feature specified in the third claim.

In many cases, it may prove expedient to take the measures proposed in the fourth and fifth claims on a storage trough or a storage box.

In terms of construction, the measures proposed in the sixth claim have also proven their worth after the innovation.

A particularly dimensionally stable configuration of the storage trough or the storage box against the effects of lateral forces and an increase in the torsional stiffness results from the use of the measures indicated in claims 7 and 8 in accordance with the innovation.

In terms of stabilizing the storage trough or the storage box, the features specified in claims 9 and 10 also have an effect, while the area of use for the storage trough or storage box can be enlarged by the measure according to claim 11.

In Fig. 1 a stackable storage trough 1 is shown, which can have a relatively large width 2, a relatively large depth 3 and a relatively low overall height 4. The end wall 5, the bottom 6 and the rear wall 7 of the bearing trough 1 are preferably formed from a single sheet metal section which is provided at its transverse edges with right-angled bevels 8, each where the bending edges between the end wall 5 and the bottom 6 and the rear wall 7 and bottom 6, have gusset-like notches through which 8 miter joints 9 are formed between the folds. The two transverse walls 10 and 11 of the bearing trough 1 are formed from special sheet metal blanks which lie on the inside on the bevels 8 and can be firmly connected to them by spot welds 12.

The upright edges of the two transverse walls 10 and 11 are each formed, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 8, by a double sheet metal section 13, which is provided halfway across the sheet metal double with a bevel 14 directed parallel to the end wall 5 and the rear wall 7 . Not only the weld points 12 between the folds 8 and the transverse walls 10 and 11, but also further weld points 15 of the end wall 5 with the folds 14 and the rear wall 7 with the folds 14 each pass through the sheet metal double 13. This ensures particularly high dimensional stability at the upright tub corners. It is also worth mentioning that even if the tub end wall 5 extends only about half the height 4 of the storage tub 1, the bevels 14 in the area of the sheet metal doubles 13 have the same height as in the area of the rear wall 7 in order to achieve an optimum To achieve stability against lateral breaking of the transverse walls 10 and 11.

At least the two transverse walls 10 and 11 of the storage trough 1 are provided with a stacking edge 16 having a horizontal stacking surface 17 and a vertical boundary surface 18, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 2. The horizontal stacking surface 17 is formed by the upper wall section of a bead 19 molded into the transverse wall 10 or 11, while the vertical boundary surface 18 is a bevel which adjoins this bead 19 in one piece.

11 verbunden. The stack edge 16 is shielded and stabilized from the outside by a hollow profile 20. This hollow profile 20 is formed by a wall section (21) which is parallel to the bent part forming the vertical boundary surface 18 of the stacking edge, a wall section 22 which runs obliquely to the transverse wall 10 or 11, and a support section 23 which is parallel to the transverse wall 10 or 11. The wall section 21 of the hollow profile 20 adjoins the bend part forming the boundary surface 18 in one piece via an arc section 24 in such a way that a gap distance 25 is formed between it and the boundary surface 18, which corresponds approximately to the sheet thickness. The wall section 21 has such a width that it extends approximately to the height of the lower edge of the bead 19, where it merges into the wall section 22 which extends obliquely to the transverse wall 10 or 11. The support section 23 of the hollow profile 20 is firmly connected to the transverse wall 10 or 11 by welding points 26.

Due to the special design of the hollow profile 20, this not only offers the stacking edge 16 on the transverse walls 10 and 11 good protection against buckling and buckling due to external forces, but it also ensures that this increase in stability with a minimal projection of the upper tub circumference compared to the outline shape of the Tub bottom is reached.

If necessary, a further increase in the stability of the hollow profile 20 can be achieved by embossing an outward-facing bead 27 into the wall section 21 parallel to the vertical boundary surface 18 of the stacking edge 16, approximately at the level of the inward-facing bead 19, the depth of which is approximately equal the sheet thickness is. The lateral projection of the hollow profile 20 is therefore only minimally increased by the bead 27.

The upper edge of the rear wall 7 is provided with an outwardly rolled edge 28 for reinforcement, as can be seen particularly clearly in FIGS. 3 and 6. From Fig. 4 it can be seen that to produce this rolled edge 28, the upper edge of the rear wall 7 is first provided with a sheet metal double 29. This sheet metal doubling 29 is then first folded at an acute angle, as shown in FIG. 5, and then rolled into the shape shown in FIG. 3. It is obvious that this measure gives the stiffening edge 28 formed on the rear wall 7 high dimensional stability. It is also important that the rear wall 7 at the level of the stacking surface 17 of the stacking edge 16 of the transverse walls 10 and 11 of a compression 30 directed outwards at least by the sheet thickness, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 6, in order thereby to make it possible to stack a plurality of storage trays 1 in the same manner in the manner shown in FIG. 7. The band section 31 upstream of the stiffening edge 28 above the pressing has the same function as the boundary surfaces 18 of the stacking edge 16, ie it serves for alignment when stacking a plurality of storage trays 1 according to FIG. 7.

So that a stable connection between the stacking edge 16 of the transverse walls 10 and 11 and the stiffening edge 28 of the rear wall 7 is achieved, the wall section 31 upstream of the stiffening edge 28 is equipped at its ends with an angled tongue 32 (FIGS. 3 and 6). The angled tongues 32 engage in the spacing gap 25 between the vertical boundary surface 18 of the stack edge 16 and the wall part 21 of the hollow profile 20 which is parallel thereto and are firmly connected to them by spot welding.

It should also be mentioned that the end wall 5 can also be provided with a stiffening edge 34 rolled outwards. If necessary, this can be stabilized in a similar manner by sheet metal doubling, as is shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 for the stiffening edge 28 of the rear wall 7.

Since the front wall 5 in the exemplary embodiment of a storage trough 1 shown is only about half the height of the rear wall 7 and the two transverse walls 10 and 11, the storage trough 1 also has a viewing or engaging opening at this point when a plurality of storage troughs 1 are stacked on top of one another in the manner shown in FIG.

Of course, it is also possible to apply the features described above in connection with a storage trough to storage boxes.

In the case of storage boxes in particular, but also in the case of storage trays, it can be expedient to equip the upper edge of a further wall or even the upper edges of all walls with the stacking edges described. In the corner areas in which two stack edges converge at right angles, a corresponding connection must then be provided, for example by inserting relatively wide tongues.

In conclusion, it should only be mentioned that it is possible to punch out tongue pairs 35 at least on the end wall 5 and the rear wall 7 of the bearing trough 1 and to form them in an angular shape so that these holding guides form separable partitions or partitions.
