Abstract

1,261,410. Stackable storage bins. FRITZ SCHAFER G.m.b.H. 18 June, 1969 [19 June, 1968], No. 30913/69. Heading B8P. In a metal storage bin having lengthwise and inwardly extending ribs 9 provided on its walls to permit stacking, corner flanges 19, 20 are formed by appropriately cutting and drawing the sheet metal before assembly at the corner areas of the ribs 9 to facilitate welding thereat. The flanges 19, 20 of respective walls which abut upon bin assembly are spot-welded together along their linear edges 22, 23 and may be pretacked together by a further spot-weld 21. Welding may be carried out using an inert gas or automatic process.
