834,438. Structural metal sheets. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 23, 1957 [Sept. 28, 1956], No, 29653/56. Class 20(2) A structural metal plate comprises sections 4 welded together at their edges, the flat edge of one section resting on a stepped part 5 of the adjacent section so that the sections are in one plane, the stepped part 5 terminating in an integral stiffening flange 6. Alternate sections may have both edges so stepped to receive intermediate flat edged sections. Another flange 7 allows the plate to be secured to a support. The sections, which may be pressed rectangular sheets of aluminium alloy, aluminium or steel, are used in deckhouses and lorries.
