Description

The invention relates to a cabin according to the preamble of claim 1.

In rooms in which spraying medium, such as splash water, is used, the space in the area of the door must be sealed against splash water leakage to the outside. Rubber seals, sealing lips and the like, which are arranged in the space between the door leaf and the inlet opening into the room, are usually used for this. However, these seals are particularly disadvantageous in clinics, where shower cubicles are installed in hospital rooms and the like, since hygienic cleaning of such seals requires great care and thoroughness, which is usually not guaranteed or is uneconomical. Ultimately, this means that these seals regularly represent the breeding ground for bacteria. In addition, the seals prevent an unhindered exchange of air from the interior to the outside, so that excessive moisture and haze can accumulate in the interior. Adequate fresh air access to the interior is not possible.

In the document FR-A-355 389 a window frame is shown, due to which it is possible to clean both sides of the window pane from one side or the other. However, the pane must be sealed in the frame so that wind and rain cannot penetrate between the window pane and window frame. An exchange of air from the outside environment to the interior cannot and must not take place here.

In US-A-1 944440 a door for a shower is disclosed, in which a sealing strip is arranged at the lower edge, which causes the water sprayed onto the door leaf to drain off. The lower door frame part is adapted to the inclination of this sealing strip when the door is closed, so that when the door leaf is opened, this lower edge of the sealing strip gives an oscillating movement. A particularly disadvantage of this proposal to arrange a separate sealing strip on the lower door frame is the fact that the sealing strip is inserted into a groove on the lower edge of the door leaf, in which water and thus dirt can accumulate, which causes the said hygienic problems. Furthermore, this construction also causes the lower sealing strip to rest against the lower edge of the inlet opening, so that no air exchange is possible.

In French Patent No. 2 131 767, a hinge connection is preferably used for the mounting of shower cabin door supports. A corresponding recess must be made in the door leaf to fasten the bracket part on the door leaf. This is time-consuming, costly and easy to deal with.

The invention has for its object to provide a cabin of the type mentioned, in which a perfect splash guard is ensured without the use of rubber sealing elements, which is easy to clean. So there should be no cracks or the like. be given, which are difficult to access and which are only incompletely cleaned in the case of volatile handling and which accordingly become the breeding ground for bacteria or the like. can be. At the same time, the best possible air supply to the interior of the shower cubicle should also be provided.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1, expedient embodiments of the invention being contained in the subclaims. Beads are attached along the edge of the inlet opening. Furthermore, a certain distance between the door leaves and the edge of the entry opening is predetermined. This is covered by the beads. This ensures safe splash protection and, on the other hand, provides a simple, hygienically perfect cleaning option. At the same time, certain air passage is possible. This design of the cabin or the entry opening and the door closing it is surprisingly simple and particularly advantageous for use in the sanitary area.

Due to the fact that, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, two edge beads are provided on each vertical edge of the entry opening, both edge sides of the entry opening can be designed identically, so that only one and the same shape is required for the manufacture of the door. This brings a considerable saving in costs. Because the edge beads protrude beyond the door leaf in its closed position, air access slots can be left between the door leaf and the side edges of the inlet opening in a very expedient manner, which are covered by the edge beads on the outside. This means that no splashing water can escape to the outside, rather the spraying water jet is broken in the area of the edge beads, so that the splashing water flows downward in the area of the edge sides of the inlet opening or in the area of the door leaf. The arrangement of the edge beads on both sides allows a very good seal without the use of separate seals, which are very difficult to clean hygienically, and enables the door to be opened in both directions, which can be advantageous in emergencies.

The two edge beads are expediently formed by a segment cutout, which on the one hand considerably simplifies the manufacture of the side edges and on the other hand enables the door leaf to be swiveled well into its closed position while at the same time the air gap between the door leaf and side edges of the inlet opening is as narrow as possible. To avoid the risk of injury, the edge beads are appropriately rounded. The outflow of the spray water jets caught by the edge beads into the interior is made even easier by the fact that the lower edge of the inlet opening is inclined towards the interior of the room to be shielded.

In the cabin according to the invention, the door wing is rotatably mounted on its upper and lower edge in the edge parts of the inlet opening by means of fittings. At the lower edge, the door leaf is angled parallel to the inclination of the edge of the inlet opening, which advantageously has the effect that the splash water can run downwards and inwards on the inside of the door. In previously known solutions with straight door ends, there was a disadvantage that the water with unfavorable air flow conditions or when a lot of water is produced, such as. B. with a shower spray directed directly at the door, could partially flow outwards, so that there were pools of water in the front area of the cabin.

The fitting is advantageously designed in such a way that the glass door leaf is kept free of tension and that, for hygienic reasons, only a relatively small part of the fitting is on the water-contaminated side.

The fittings each consist of a clamp part which can be fastened to the door leaf and a bearing part which is fastened in the edge of the access opening and in which the corresponding clamp part is rotatably mounted by means of a pivot pin. The clip parts are preferably formed in two parts, which has the advantage that the door can only be retrofitted at the construction site, so that it is protected against damage. In the area of the bearing surfaces of the fitting, circumferential grooves with a semicircular cross section are formed, into which a sealing profile can be inserted before fitting the fitting. The parts of the fitting can be screwed together, the sealing profile being pressed against the bearing surfaces during screwing, so that a hygienically optimal seal is achieved. Water can no longer get between the storage areas and contribute to the culture of bacterians, etc. The bearings are secured against rotation using dowel pins, which dowel pins can also be arranged on the outside of the door in the bearings.

The shower cubicle shown is formed by a box 1 made of plastic, on which a cover 2 is placed. An inlet opening 3 is provided on the front of the box 1. In it, the door 4 is arranged with a door knob 5. The door 4 is rotatably received at points 6 and 7 in the box 1 and cover 2 by means of fittings 8 and 9, respectively. As indicated by dashed lines (since not visible behind the door 4), a shower 10 is provided in the cabin, for example, which can be actuated via fittings 11; in this way a person P can then take a shower in the shower cubicle.

The splash guard is intended to prevent splash water from escaping from the interior of the cabin, i.e. H. Water jets penetrate directly from the shower 10 or after impact by a person P between the door and the inlet opening 3.

As can be seen from FIGS. 2 to 4, the vertically running parts of the edge of the inlet opening 3 are each provided with a bead. In detail, this bead is configured as follows: on the left side of the inlet opening 3, on which the door opens forward in the direction of the arrow 12, a bead 14 is seen from the front, behind the left door edge 13 in the edge of the inlet opening 3 intended. It covers the air slot 19 between the edge of the inlet opening 3 and the left edge 13 of the door 4. Seen from the inside of the cabin, it projects so far beyond the left edge 13 of the door 4 that a water jet emerges directly from the shower cabin the louvre 19 is no longer possible. The water jet will always break at several points on the edge of the inlet opening 3, the left edge 13 of the door 4 or the bead 14, so that the water will run downwards without splashing.

Spritzwasser, das vom Innenraum der Duschkabine her durch den Luftschlitz 19 hindurchtritt, bricht sich an der Fläche 15' und läuft an dieser nach unten ab.2 and 3, a bead 15 is arranged on the right side of the inlet opening 3 along the vertical part thereof. However, since the part of the door 4 that lies to the right of the pin 8 opens in the direction of the arrow 16, the bead 15 is seen from the front in front of the right edge 17 of the door 4 in such a way that the bead 15 - seen from the front - the louver 19 zwi rule the right edge 17 of the door 4 and the edge of the inlet opening 3. Splashing water, which passes through the air slot 19 from the interior of the shower cubicle, breaks at the surface 15 'and runs downwards there.

In order for the water trickling from the door or the inner edge of the inlet opening 3, including the beads 14 and 15, to flow into the interior of the shower cubicle, the lower edge 18 must then be inclined inwards, as can be seen in FIG. 5.

Another preferred exemplary embodiment is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.

Der Türflügel 20 dient zum Verschliessen der durch die beiden gegenüberliegenden senkrecht verlaufenden Seitenränder 21 und 22 dem Boden 23 und der nicht dargestellten Decke begrenzten Eintrittsöffnung 24.6 shows a top view of the door leaf 20, which for reasons of better clarity is not shown in its full width, but rather interrupted in the middle. The door leaf 20 serves to close the inlet opening 24 delimited by the two opposite perpendicular side edges 21 and 22, the floor 23 and the ceiling (not shown).

The door leaf 20 is pivotally arranged within the inlet opening 24. According to the illustrated embodiment, a fitting 25 is arranged on the upper and lower edge of the door leaf 1, which engages in a corresponding opening in the floor 4 or the ceiling of the entry opening 5.

The pivotable mounting of the door leaf 1 within the inlet opening 24 can also be seen quite clearly from FIG. 7.

These two perpendicular side edges 21 and 22 of the inlet opening 24 each have two edge beads 26 arranged at a distance from one another. In the closed position of the door leaf 20, it is arranged between the two edge beads 26 of each side edge of the entry opening 24. In this closed position, the edge beads 26 protrude on both sides beyond the door leaf 20, so that the space 27 present between the door leaf 20 and the side edges is covered by the edge beads. As a result, the interior in the drawing, which is at the top and in which spraying medium is used, is closed off on the one hand by the door leaf 20 and on the other hand by the edge beads 26 covering the space between the door leaf and the side edges and overlapping edge beads. The spray water generated is broken and scattered in the area of the edge beads, so that it does not penetrate to the outside, but instead flows down to the floor 23 in the area of the side edges or door leaf 20. The floor 23 is expediently sloping towards the interior, as indicated by the reference numeral 28 in FIG. 2.

Thus, separate seals between the door leaf 20 and the side edges 21 and 22 are not required, which are difficult to clean hygienically and mostly represent breeding grounds for bacteria. The beads 26 arranged on both sides allow the door leaf 20 to be opened both inwards and outwards, which is particularly advantageous in the clinical field. At the same time, both side edges 21 and 22 are of identical design, so that they can be produced using one and the same mold. This means that according to the invention, the manufacture is also significantly simplified.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the edge beads 26 of each side edge 21 or 22 of the inlet opening 24 are essentially formed by a segment-shaped cutout, expediently in the form of a segment of a circle. At the same time, the edge beads are rounded so that there are no sharp edges and the risk of injury is minimized. The segment-shaped cut-out enables on the one hand the unhindered pivoting of the door leaf and on the other hand the maintenance of the narrowest possible air gap between the door leaf and the side edges, which enables air exchange or fresh air access. Although the fitting 25 is shown on the left in the exemplary embodiment shown, it can alternatively also be provided on the right side of the door leaf 20. Instead of a cutout in the form of a segment of a circle on the side edges of the inlet opening to form the edge beads 26, which is expedient because of the pivoting of the door leaf, another cutout, for example a rectangular cutout on the side edges 21, 22, can also be provided.

The lower end of the door leaf 20, which is designated by the reference symbol 30, is angled toward the inside of the cabin, so that the water splashing against the door can flow downward and into the cabin interior. The fitting 29 consists of a clamp part which is formed in two parts and has an outer base part 31 and an inner pressure body 32. The fitting 29 also has a bottom bearing 33 which is arranged in a blind hole 34 in the bottom 23 of the inlet opening 24. The details of the lower fitting 29 are shown in FIGS. 9, 10 and 11.

The base part 31 and the pressure body 32 are screwed together using hexagon socket screws 35 which engage in threaded blind holes 36 in the pressure body 32. The screws 35 are therefore only accessible from the outside. In the lower reinforced section of the base part 31 there is a pivot pin 37 which engages in a corresponding bore in the bottom bearing 33 shown in FIG. 12.

The bearing surface 38 of the base part is adapted to the shape of the angled door end 30 of the base part 31 as well as in the bearing surface 39 of the pressure body 32 and on the bearing surfaces there are circumferential grooves 40 which have a semicircular cross section and in which a sealing profile, not shown, in front of the Installation of the fitting can be inserted. By screwing the screws 35 with the threaded blind holes 36 are then the sealing profiles are drawn sealingly against the lower door leaf end 30.

The floor bearing 33 shown in FIG. 12 is beveled in accordance with the inclination of the floor 23. Furthermore, it is circular, so that it can be easily rotated during assembly to achieve the optimal sealing and stop function on the lateral, vertical edges of the door leaf or the entrance opening of the cabin. Dowel pins 41 are used for the subsequent protection against rotation. Finally, bores 42 are provided which are penetrated by Allen screws which can be screwed into the base 23. In bores 43 of the base part 31, spring-loaded pressure balls or the like can be used in a manner known per se. are recorded, which snap into corresponding, trough-shaped recesses of the base bearing 33 in order to ensure certain closed positions or open positions of the door leaf.

Dichtungsring einlegbar ist.14 to 16, the corresponding parts of the upper fitting 44 are shown. Just like the fitting 29, this fitting is constructed in several parts and consists of a two-part clamp part 45 and a cover bearing 46. In the cover bearing, two dowel pins 47 are used to prevent rotation, and the cover bearing is attached to the cover shell with a screw 48 which is concealed for hygienic reasons 2 attached. A pivot pin 50, which is fastened to the upper end of the clamp part 45, engages in the blind hole 49. The hexagon socket screws, not shown, reach through the upper part of the door leaf and are screwed into threaded blind holes 51. As with the lower fitting, the bearing surfaces of the clamp part 45 each have a circumferential groove 52 into which a corresponding sealing element, e.g. Sealing ring can be inserted.

It should be noted that the cabin is not limited to use as a shower cabin, but the appropriate design of the entrance opening and the shielding door can of course also be used in other rooms that work with splashing media, such as. B. at a paint shop or the like.
