Description

The invention relates to a window cleaning device according to the preamble of claim 1.

Window cleaning devices should be designed in such a way that they enable the largest possible window area to be cleaned in the shortest possible time without endangering or contaminating other parts.

(DE-U-7 624 786).A window cleaning device is known with a back profile strip, on one side of which a laterally displaceable and exchangeable wiper blade and, parallel thereto, an elongated, fur-like moistener and on the other side of which a handle is attached. (DE-U-7 624 786).

The disadvantage of this known window cleaning device is that the humidifier consists of a fur, not specified, but only in a simple layer via a carrying rod. is arranged. Such a thin layer of fur can only store a little water. Since the fur is also exposed, there is also the risk that the cleaning liquid can run down the window and when handling the device the window sills and the like. contaminated. The attachment of the skin in the previously known window cleaning device is difficult because the tube-like skin has to be pulled onto the rod, it still being unclear how the back profile strip is to penetrate the skin.

The object on which the application is based consists in creating a window cleaning device of the known type in which the humidifier can be easily and quickly attached, has a large water storage and holding capacity without the risk of environmental pollution and, moreover, can effectively break up the dirt and grease film on window panes.

This object was achieved by the window cleaning device according to the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

Further advantageous refinements of the device according to the invention are described in the characterizing parts of claims 2 to 4.

With a window cleaning device according to claim 1, the following is achieved: The corelessly wound plastic cell can effectively store large amounts of water. This is because there are several layers of absorbent skin, particularly effective when the carrier web is designed to be absorbent, as is readily possible with a synthetic skin. In addition, if the hair of the plastic cell is made sufficiently hard, such a plastic cell will be able to effectively remove the dirt and grease film on the window pane. By inserting the wound plastic cell into a concave hollow of the humidifier, the prerequisite for very simple attachment is given. The pulling forward of the edge facing away from the wiper blade towards the window pane means that the water stored in the skin cannot easily exit below.

In claim 2 different possibilities are shown to replace the humidifier or to hold it firmly on the back profile strip, which leads to economical, time-saving production.

Claim 3 shows a very simple way to hold the entire device together. There is also a simple possibility to move the handle laterally, as shown in claim 4. The laterally displaceable handle enables the windows to be cleaned well, even behind radiators and the like.

Finally, it is stated in claim 5 that the device can also be pivoted to its handle, which is particularly expedient if higher work surfaces are to be achieved, since the back profile strip can then be rotated into an approximately vertical position with the humidifier and the wiper blade.

The drawing explains the subject of the invention using an exemplary embodiment.

Es zeigt :

  • - Figur 1 eine Teil-Rückenansicht und
  • - Figur 2 eine Seitenansicht des Gerätes.
It shows :
  • - Figure 1 is a partial rear view and
  • - Figure 2 is a side view of the device.

The handle 1 is pivotable on all sides of the ball 2, so connected to the other parts of the device that it can be used in any angular position. For this purpose, the terminal strip 4 in the region of the handle 1, 2 is designed in the shape of a spherical shell and, parallel to the back profile strip 7, is slit open from the side facing away from the wiper blade 8. When the clamping screw 5 is tightened, this clamping strip 4 is pressed together, fixing the ball 2 of the handle 1 in the respective position. The elongated hole 3 running parallel to the back profile strip 7 in the clamping strip 4 also makes it possible to laterally move the handle with the clamping strip on the back profile strip. The clamping screw 5 penetrating this elongated hole 3 of the clamping strip 4 and the back profile strip 7 also presses the fixing claw 6 against the wiper blade 8, which is secured in this way against lateral displacement. This wiper blade 8 is inserted with its thickened longitudinal edge facing the humidifier 13 into a retaining profile strip 9 which surrounds it there in a semicircle. This retaining profile strip 9 is mounted between the two arcuate lips 10, 11 of the back profile strip 7. It is fastened by the two tabs 12 attached at their free ends, which grip around the loop 11 of the back profile strip 7. The back profile bar 7 is concave for receiving the humidifier 13. Her is the wiper blade 8 abge turned edge 14 as a droplet deflector and to support the water storage capacity of the humidifier 13 pulled forward in an arc. The moistener 13 consists of a plastic fur roller with bristles or hair that is hard enough to tear open the greasy film of dirt on the disc. The removable attachment of the replaceable humidifier 13 to the back profile strip 7 is carried out by means of a Velcro strap 15, zippers, push buttons or other types known per se. The two parts 7, 13 can also be glued together.
