- the capacitive high-frequency dryer 2 consists essentially of stray field electrodes 21, which - viewed in the direction of the web - are alternately connected to different poles of the high-frequency generator 22. For the sake of simplicity of illustration, only one plane with a few electrodes is drawn; in reality, the web traverses a number of electrode levels.
- the stray field electrodes 21 are designed as nozzle boxes, as are used in the so-called suspension railway dryers.
- the hot air 23 emerging from the nozzle boxes of the stray field electrodes 21, and the hot air 23 via a line 24 source 25 is supplied, the web 1 and eliminates the steam vapors created by the high frequency drying.
- the stray field electrodes 21 designed as nozzle boxes are arranged with different polarity on both sides of the paper web 1.
