Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hob according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a built-in hob with a glass ceramic hotplate has already become known, in which a lower cover plate forms the support both for the glass ceramic plate and for the heating units .
  • the heating units are pressed against the glass ceramic plate by compression springs, which are guided on pins which are attached to the bottom of the cover plate.
  • the compression springs press against rags protruding laterally from the cover plate.
  • the glass ceramic plate is enclosed in a circumferential frame and can be removed independently of the cover plate.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a hob of the type mentioned, which manages with a minimum of manufacturing and assembly work and allows safe and uncomplicated guidance and centering of the cooking units with easy repair options.
  • the cover plate also represents the support for the heating units.
  • the formations simultaneously form a centering for the heating units against lateral movement and stiffen the cover plate, which can be provided with a raised edge and can rest on the worktop with a flange.
  • the leaf spring elements can easily be attached to the cover plate from the outside and protrude through the recesses, so that the heating units can be inserted into the recesses from above. They do not need to be "threaded” laboriously, but a rotation of the heating units automatically locks the leaf springs into the guide recesses, so that the leaf springs also have a guiding and centering function in addition to their spring function.
  • the heating unit also maintains a relatively constant distance in the circumferential direction from the protrusions of the cover plate in addition to a lower distance, so that an insulation distance is established.
  • the advantageously short and essentially straight leaf spring elements can be screwed flat onto the part of the cover plate lying between the formations.
  • the heating units project essentially into the formations by the depth of the guide recesses.
  • the heating units preferably have multiple guide recesses as the leaf spring element, there is a relatively large possibility of adaptation in the arrangement of the heating elements in the circumferential direction.
  • the leaf spring elements can preferably have a projection, e.g. in the form of a riveted pin or the like, which engages in a hole on the heating unit for additional centering.
  • the heating units can preferably contain radiant heaters.
  • the design and arrangement of the hob according to the invention is particularly suitable for radiant heaters which are appropriately fixed and insulated with a certain distance in the interior of the flat circular sheet metal shells forming the jacket of the heating units.
  • the invention is also particularly suitable for cooktops which are built into a worktop, because it makes it possible to produce a stable and transportable unit with a plurality of hotplates which, with good thermal insulation, manages to the side and downwards with a minimum installation height.
  • the glass-ceramic plate provided with a frame can be removably attached in the cover plate, which is fastened separately in a work table cutout, and in which the outer edge is screwed onto threaded nuts fastened to the outside of the cover plate.
  • These can preferably be welded to the underside of a flange of the cover plate resting on the work table. This particularly simple arrangement makes it possible to lift off the glass ceramic plate together with the frame surrounding it, so that the heating units are exposed for assembly and repair.
  • a hob 11 which has a cover plate 12, which has the shape of a square flat, upwardly open bowl with a bottom 13 and an upwardly facing edge 14 with an outwardly directed flange 15 on the upper edge.
  • the cover plate is made from a deformed piece of sheet metal and has four cooking points for the cooking hob shown in the drawing with four cooking areas 16 directed downwards relative to the base 13.
  • each formation 16 Regularly distributed over the circumference of each formation 16, three openings 17 are provided in the region of the lower bottom edge of the formation, into which leaf spring elements 18 project.
  • the leaf spring elements 18 are short, essentially straight strips of spring material, which in the area of their inwardly facing free end have upward angled portions 20, so that they are U-shaped in this area, and in the area of their outer end by means of self-tapping screws 19 'are screwed to the bottom 13 of the cover plate from the outside.
  • a bend 20 at its end engages in a slot in the cover plate and thus ensures its essentially radial alignment with respect to the formations.
  • the hotplates are formed by heating units 22. These are preferably radiant heating units which are not shown in detail here and which can be designed, for example, according to DE-A-2551 137. They can have an insulation inserted into an outer shell in the form of a circular flat bowl and radiation heaters fixed thereon in the form of spirals or the like. The insulation 23 projects somewhat beyond the upper edge of the sheet metal bowl and lies against the underside of a glass ceramic plate 24, which forms the cooking surface of the hob with its upper side.
  • the heating unit i.e. their outer jacket formed as a sheet metal shell, guide recesses 25, which are designed as partial indentations of the edge.
  • guide recesses 25 are provided on each heating unit at regular intervals.
  • the leaf spring elements 18 engage with their free end in three of these guide recesses and press the heating unit 22 upward against the glass ceramic plate.
  • the heating unit 22 extends into the formations 16.
  • the guide recesses 25 are so long in the radial direction that they can cooperate with the free ends of the leaf spring elements for centering the heating elements in the middle of the formations. This and a corresponding choice of the depth of the formations creates a lateral and lower insulation gap around each heating unit, into which insulating material can also be inserted if necessary.
  • the glass ceramic plate 24 is fastened by means of a cement 26 in a frame 27 made of thin stainless steel, which has a circumferential, outwardly facing edge which lies approximately at the height of the glass ceramic plate and which rests on the peripheral flange 15, while a downward-pointing part of the frame 27 is fixed leads within the edge 14 of the cover plate.
  • An inwardly facing circumferential leg 28 of the frame carries the glass ceramic plate.
  • the frame 27 is attached to the cover plate 12 by screws 29 (screwed out for clarity), which extend through four holes in the four corners of the frame and the flange 15 and are screwed there into threaded nuts 30 which are welded to the flange 15 from below are.
  • the hob 11 is arranged in a cutout 31 of a worktop 32 of kitchen furniture, lies in the example shown with the flange 15 on the top of the worktop 32 and is fixed by a clamping device 33 which can be pressed onto the underside of the worktop with a gripping claw.
  • the threaded nuts 30 lie in the area of blind holes in the worktop in the four corners.
  • Fig. 3 a variant is shown in which the leaf spring element 18 'is formed flat and without bends in the rest of the same embodiment. It is guided in upwardly pronounced recesses 36 in the cover plate and has at its inner free end a projection 35 designed as a riveted pin, which can engage in a hole in the region of the guide recesses 25.
