Description

The present invention relates to a method for crack-proof, tight connection of an asphalt surface to a component, in particular a concrete part. Such connections are required for concrete bridges, both on the edges of the road and on the edges of sidewalks, flat roofs and the like. The joint cementation that is customary for this purpose proves to be inadequate, because due to the strong shrinkage of the asphalt surface, cracks occur sooner or later, at very low temperatures, which sooner or later damage the asphalt surface and / or the Guide the component in the vicinity of the joint.

The disadvantages mentioned cannot be avoided if, in a known manner, a groove tapering downwards is milled along the joint between the asphalt surface and the concrete component and this is cast with a bituminous rubber (CH-A-373 777).

It is also known to apply a joint tape to the structure before placing the asphalt (DE-A-1 965 092). This approach has also proven to be insufficient to meet all requirements.

Experiments have shown that in order to achieve a permanent, crack-proof and leak-proof connection of an asphalt surface to a rigid component, in particular a concrete part, certain conditions must be met, i. H. that during the pouring and solidification of the concrete, a certain procedure has to be carried out in order to meet all preconditions, so that neither during the pouring and solidification of the asphalt nor later with the large temperature differences to be expected despite its low tensile strength, its strong shrinkage during solidification and its plasticity and its high coefficient of expansion cracks and, as a result, greater damage occur.

The invention has for its object to provide a method that meets the aforementioned complex requirements and allows cracking, be it by tearing the asphalt or detaching the joint seal from the asphalt or from the building, safely and permanently avoided.

This object is achieved in that a connection profile is created on the component that separates the asphalt from the structure at least in the upper part when the asphalt surface is applied, and that the connection profile is spread after the asphalt surface has at least partially solidified.

It is therefore not sufficient to insert any Pin7t.Jipn.en sealing tape or a sealing compound into the joint, but to provide a connection profile that can follow the asphalt surface when it solidifies without considerable deformation forces, and which is then additionally spread, and only when the asphalt is solidified to such an extent that it is not deformed by the spreading pressure.

A chambered connection profile of high elasticity and / or a chambered expansion profile is preferably used for spreading the same, in order to achieve high deformability of the connection profile in all phases.

It is known from DE-A-2 249 879 to press a V-shaped vaginal profile strip into a not yet hardened screed, i.e. not in asphalt, along a concrete wall and then to insert an optionally wedge-shaped fill profile strip into the vaginal profile strip. Spreading of the scabbard profile strip is not provided, however, and the known method is therefore not suitable for crack-free creation of an asphalt surface, nor was it able to suggest an optimal procedure for this.

B. Keilband. The invention also relates to a set of profiles for carrying out the method explained above, with an expandable connection profile and in the same plug-in expansion profile, for. B. Wedge belt.

Finally, the invention also relates to a construction with an asphalt covering, a connection profile being inserted into the expansion joint at the connection point of the asphalt covering on the component, in particular the concrete component of the construction construction.

  • Fig. 2 zeigt ein Spreizprofil,
  • Fig. 3 zeigt ein Anwendungsbeispiel der Erfindung, und
  • Fig. 4 zeigt eine Ausführungsvariante.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, which shows an embodiment.
  • 1 shows a cross section through the relevant part of the structure immediately after the asphalt has been poured,
  • 2 shows a spreading profile,
  • Fig. 3 shows an application example of the invention, and
  • 4 shows an embodiment variant.

Im vorliegenden Falle sind nur zwei Kastenprofile erforderlich.1 shows a concrete component 1, for example the roadway of a bridge, on the floor 2 of which an asphalt covering 3 is to be applied. A separating profile 5, for example made of neoprene, is placed against the lateral boundary wall 4 below. This separating profile consists of individual chamber profiles of different heights, which are provided on one side with T-shaped anchoring ribs 6, while the opposite side is flat. The flat sides are glued to the concrete using a suitable adhesive, for example neoprene adhesive. The separating profiles are produced in the form of a tape in a certain width, with a higher and a lower box profile alternating in succession in such a way that profiles of a suitable height can be torn off the tapes along the weakest points 7. In the present case, only two box profiles are required.

A V-shaped connection profile 8 with chambered legs is arranged above the separating profile 5. One flat side of this profile, which can also consist of neoprene, is attached to the side wall 4 of the concrete by means of neoprene adhesive partly 1 glued. On the opposite side, this connection profile is also provided with T-shaped anchoring ribs 6. The wedge-shaped space between the two legs of the profile 8 is closed with a band-shaped strip 9, which can be easily torn off at the weak connection points 10 with the profile legs. The connection profile 8 has a raised lip 11 on the side facing the concrete part 1.

If the profiles 5 and 8 according to FIG. 1 are attached to the side wall of the concrete part 1, the asphalt covering 3 is poured, and thanks to the anchoring ribs 6, a tensile connection is created between the profiles 5 and 8 on the one hand and the asphalt covering on the other. The joint between the separating profile 5 and the connecting profile 8 does not need to be glued, but it is sufficient if these profiles are so close to one another that the asphalt cannot penetrate to the component 1 in between. If the asphalt surface is at least partially solidified, the profile strip 9 is torn out of the profile and in its place the wedge-shaped expansion profile 12 according to FIG. 2 is pressed between the legs of the profile 8 and thus this profile is spread and compressed elastically. At the same time, the gap in the profile 8 is sealed at the top. The complementary toothing on the inside of the legs of the profile 8 on the one hand and on the outside of the expansion profile 12 as shown in FIG completely cooled asphalt surface 3, the connection profile 8 is still elastically compressed and cannot be torn off this surface or the concrete part 1 if the asphalt surface continues to shrink at very low temperatures. Even at extremely low temperatures it is not possible for the expansion wedge 12 according to FIG. 2 to loosen in the profile and for water or contamination to penetrate between it and the profile 8. The lip 11 raised on the concrete part 4 prevents moss and impurities from accumulating in the area of the joint on the concrete part.

It is sufficient that the connection profile 8 remains tightly connected to the concrete part 1 and the asphalt covering 3 in the finished building, so that no contamination or water can penetrate. The separating profile 5, on the other hand, only serves to keep the asphalt surface separated from the side wall 4 of the concrete part 1 during casting. This profile can be torn off from the concrete part 1 when the asphalt surface shrinks.

Variants are possible. The side of profiles 5 and 8 facing the asphalt surface can be treated with bitumen varnish, which results in an even better connection of these profiles with the asphalt when pouring the asphalt surface. In the finished building, however, the seal between the connection profile 8 and the asphalt is ensured in any case by mechanical pressure of this profile due to its expansion.

Instead of chambered profiles, solid profiles made of foam plastic can also be used, but the chambered profiles have better aging resistance.

As a further embodiment variant, a V-shaped end profile with thinner, non-chambered legs could be used, into which a wider wedge profile that is chambered to increase the elasticity can be pressed. Finally, it would also be possible to provide a final wall over the gap of the connection profile 8 instead of the tear-out profile strip 9, which wall can be cut open for pressing in the expansion profile.

Fig. 3 shows an application example with several joints, in which connection profiles 8 are used. The load-bearing concrete part 13 of a bridge is covered with insulation 14. Two asphalt layers 15 and 16 are applied to the roadway part of the bridge. On the lower asphalt surface 15 are the curbs 17, between which and the upper asphalt surface 16 a connecting profile 8 is inserted. Outside the curbs 17 there is a sidewalk with an asphalt layer 18. Between this asphalt layer and the curbs 17 on the one hand and an outer end profile 19 on the other hand, a connecting profile 8 is in turn inserted.

Es hat sich gezeigt, dass der Asphalt beim Guss besser zwischen derartige Verankerungsrippen eindringt und eine bessere Verankerung erzielt wird.FIG. 4 shows an embodiment variant of a profile, with corresponding parts being identified in the same way as in FIG. 1. Instead of the T-shaped anchoring ribs, anchoring ribs with heads 6 ′ of circular cross section that are somewhat further apart are provided. It has been shown that the asphalt penetrates better between such anchoring ribs during casting and better anchoring is achieved.

In addition, a separating profile 5 is connected to the connecting profile 8 via a rib 20. It has been shown that such an overall profile can be used unchanged for most applications. If necessary, however, the separation profile 5 can be separated from the connection profile and / or additional connection profiles according to FIG. 1 can be used.
