Abstract

A suction cleaning apparatus for wet cleaning, which has a receiving space (2) which is closed by a detachable housing cover (5) and into which a separate container (4) can be inserted. A blower unit which generates the corresponding suction stream is furthermore provided. A liquid pump (11) arranged in the apparatus delivers the cleaning fluid (12), which can be filled into the apparatus, to a spray nozzle through which the cleaning liquid (12) is distributed onto the surface to be cleaned. As a result of the suction stream, this liquid is sucked off again and delivered to the container (4) arranged in the apparatus. In order to achieve a reduction in the apparatus dimensions and improved handling of the apparatus, it is proposed that the container (4) be constructed to be dimensionally stable and the blower unit (7) be accommodated in a housing pot (6) connected to the housing cover (5). The blower unit (7) is suctionally connected to the receiving space (2) via air inlet openings (8) provided directly below the housing cover (5) in the circumferential wall of the housing pot (6). The liquid pump (11) is likewise arranged in the receiving space (2). Suction cleaning apparatuses of this type are used for wet cleaning carpets. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a suction cleaning device, with a receiving space formed in the housing of the device and closable by a removable housing cover, into which a separate container can be inserted, and also with a blower unit that generates a suction flow and is in suction connection with the receiving space externally connectable with a suction nozzle suction pipe and a liquid pump, the suction pipe leads into the receiving space and the outlet can be connected to a spray nozzle.

Such a suction cleaning device is known from DE-OS 23 64 772. In this cleaning device, the liquid pump and the blower unit are arranged above the housing cover for safety reasons and are covered again by a further hood-like housing cover. Due to this arrangement, the device still has relatively large dimensions.

The invention has for its object to provide a suction cleaning device so that its dimensions correspond to the vacuum cleaners commonly used in the household.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that the container is dimensionally stable and the blower unit is accommodated in a housing pot connected to the housing cover and protruding into the receiving space, the peripheral wall of which has at least one air inlet opening directly below the housing cover and that the liquid pump in Recording room is arranged. By arranging the blower unit in the housing top p f of the housing cover protruding into the receiving space, the space in the device is better utilized and smaller dimensions for the suction cleaning device are thus achieved. The use of a dimensionally stable container not only enables the blower unit to be accommodated in the interior of the suction cleaning device, but also facilitates its handling. A rigid container is easier to remove from the device than an elastic container.

The handling of the device is also facilitated in that the container is inserted into an intermediate container that can be inserted into the receiving space. Such an intermediate container prevents the container from being wetted by liquid and thus dripping when it is removed. According to a further embodiment of the invention, the suction cleaning device can also be used to vacuum dry dirt. This is achieved in a simple manner in that ribs are formed on the outside of the housing pot, onto which a filter can be placed.

The subject of the application is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment shown schematically in the drawing.

Es zeigt:

  • Fig. 1 ein Saugreinigungsgerät mit frisch eingefüllter Reinigungsflüssigkeit,
It shows:
  • 1 is a suction cleaning device with freshly filled cleaning liquid,
  • 2 the same suction cleaning device after the absorption of dirty liquid,
  • Fig. 3 is a suction cleaning device in use as a dry cleaning device.

In the drawing, 1 denotes the housing of a suction cleaning device. The housing 1 has a receiving space 2, into which an intermediate container 3 can be inserted, in which a container 4 is in turn inserted. The housing 1 can be closed by a removable housing cover 5. A housing pot 6 is formed on the housing cover 5, in which a blower unit 7 is arranged. The housing pot 6 has air inlet openings 8 directly below the housing cover 5. Ribs 9 are formed on the outer wall of the housing pot 6. A suction pipe 10 is also connected to the housing cover 5, which opens into the receiving space 2 and can be connected externally to a suction nozzle. Furthermore, there is a liquid pump 11 in the receiving space 2. The path of the air sucked in by the blower unit 7 is indicated by small arrows and the path of the air-liquid mixture is indicated by a dashed arrow.

According to the illustration in FIG. 1, a cleaning liquid 12 is filled into the receiving space 2. The intermediate container 3 containing the container 4 floats on this cleaning liquid 12. The bottom 13 of the container 4 is located directly below in this position the housing pot 6. By switching on the liquid pump 11, cleaning liquid 12 is sucked in via its suction pipe 14 projecting into the cleaning liquid 12 and conveyed via the outlet 15 to a spray nozzle. The cleaning liquid 12 is applied to the surface to be cleaned by such a spray nozzle and then sucked off again by a suction nozzle connected to the suction pipe 10. Via the suction nozzle, not shown, the liquid, now enriched with dirt, is sucked into the device together with the suction air and reaches the container 4 via the suction pipe 10. The suction pipe 10 is introduced vertically into the container 4, and the suction air is separated from the liquid-air mixture reached. When the liquid pump is switched on, the level of the cleaning liquid 12 and thus also the intermediate container 3 with the container 4 drops, so that the container 4 can now be filled with dirty liquid without the housing pot 6 protruding into the dirty liquid.

The container 4 is filled with dirty liquid 16 in this state. To empty the container 4, the housing cover 5 is removed together with the attached blower unit 7 and the suction pipe 10. The container 4 can then be lifted out of the receiving space 2 and emptied. The intermediate container 3 prevents direct contact of the container 4 with the cleaning liquid, so that it remains completely dry and therefore does not drip when emptied.

In Fig. 3, the intermediate container 3 and the container 4 are removed from the receiving space 2. A filter 17 is placed on the ribs 9 of the housing pot 6. With such a retrofit, the vacuum cleaning device can be used for dry vacuuming. In this case, only air enriched with dirt is sucked in via the suction pipe 10. The dirt 17 is retained in the receiving space 2 by the filter 17 and the air can in turn be conveyed to the outside by the blower unit 7 via the air outlet openings 8.
