Claims (17)
1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af et ekspanderbart polymergranulat omfattende trinnene a) tilvejebringelse af en polymerbestanddel (P) bestående af PS) 90 til 99,9 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en styrenpolymerbestanddel med en glasovergangstemperatur > 130 °C, som er dannet af PS1) 30 til 100 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en eller flere styrenpolymerer indeholdende PS11) 60 til 85 vægt-% (baseret på PS1) indpolymeriseret styren (PS11) eller alfa-methylstyren (PS12) eller en indpolymeriseret blanding af alfa-methylstyren og styren (PS13), PS12) 15 til 40 vægt-% (baseret på PS1) af i det mindste en indpolymeriseret monomer fra gruppen maleinsyreanhydrid og maleinimider og PS2) 0 til 70 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en eller flere styrenpolymerer, der er forskellige fra PS1, indeholdende PS21) 60 til 82 vægt-% (baseret på PS2) indpolymeriseret styren (PS11) eller alfa-methylstyren (PS12) eller en indpolymeriseret blanding af styren og alfa-methylstyren (PS13) og PS22) 18 til 40 vægt-% (baseret på PS2) indpolymeriseret acrylnitril og PT) 0,1 til 10 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en eller flere termoplastiske polymerer fra gruppen bestående af aromatiske polyethere; polyolefiner; polyacrylater; polycarbonater (PC) ; polyestere; polyamider; polyethersulfoner (PES); polyetherketoner (PEK) og polyethersulfider (PES), (b) opvarmning af polymerbestanddelen (P) til dannelse af en polymersmelte, (c) indføring af 1 til 5 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en drivmiddelbestanddel (T) i polymersmelten til dannelse af en opskummelig smelte, idet der som drivmiddel anvendes C3-C8-carbonhydrider og blandinger heraf, (d) homogenisering af blandingen, (e) i givet fald tilsætning af additiver til polymerbestanddelen P i i det mindste et af trinnene a) , b) , c) og/eller d), (f) ekstrudering af den drivmiddelholdige polymersmelte gennem en dyseplade, (g) granulering af den drivmiddelholdige smelte i et væskefyldt kammer under et tryk på 1,5 til 15 bar til et granulat.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at de ekspanderbare granulatpartikler har en gennemsnitlig partikelstørrelse på 0,2 til 2,5 mm.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 2, kendetegnet ved, at maksimalt 5 vægt-% af partiklerne er mindre end 0,8 gange den gennemsnitlige partikelstørrelse og maksimalt 5 vægt-% større end 1,2 gange den gennemsnitlige partikelstørrelse.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 3, idet bestanddelen PS1) består af styren og maleinsyreanhydrid.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 3, idet bestanddelen PS1) består af styren og phenylmaleinimid.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 3, idet bestanddelen PS1) består af styren, maleinsyreanhyrid og phenylmaleinimid.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 6, idet bestanddelen PS2) består af styren og acrylnitril.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 6, idet bestanddelen PS2) består af styren, acrylnitril og maleinsyreanhyrid.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 8, idet mængden af den tilsatte drivmiddelbestanddel (T) er mindre end 4 vægt-% (baseret på P).
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 9, idet der som co-drivmiddel anvendes ketoner og/eller alkoholer.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 9, idet der som co-drivmiddel anvendes acetone.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 11, idet der som additiv tilsættes en eller flere UV-stabilisatorer.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1 til 12, idet det væskefyldte kammer drives ved en temperatur i området fra 20 til 95°C.
14. Ekspanderbart granulat opnåeligt ifølge fremgangsmåden ifølge et af kravene 1 til 13, hvis partikler hver især indeholder i det mindste 10 hulrum pr. mm3 i størrelsesområdet fra 1 til 200 pm, og som indeholder en polymerbestanddel (P) bestående af PS) 90 til 99,9 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en styrenpolymerbestanddel med en glasovergangstemperatur > 130 °C bestående af PS1) 30 til 100 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en eller flere styrenpolymerer hver især indeholdende PS11) 60 til 85 vægt-% (baseret på PS1) indpolymeriseret styren (PS111) eller alfa-methylstyren (PS112) eller en indpolymeriseret blanding af alfa-methylstyren og styren (PS113), PS12) 15 til 40 vægt-% (baseret på PS1) af i det mindste en indpolymeriseret monomer fra gruppen maleinsyreanhydrid og maleinimider og PS2) 0 til 70 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en eller flere styrenpolymerer, der er forskellige fra PS1, indeholdende PS21) 60 til 82 vægt-% (baseret på PS2) indpolymeriseret styren (PS11) eller alfa-methylstyren (PS12) eller en indpolymeriseret blanding af styren og alfa-methylstyren (PS13) og PS22) 18 til 40 vægt-% (baseret på PS2) indpolymeriseret acrylnitril og PT) 0,1 til 10 vægt-% (baseret på P) af en eller flere termoplastiske polymerer fra gruppen bestående af aromatiske polyethere, polyolefiner, polyacrylater, polycarbonater (PC) , polyestere, polyamider, polyethersulfoner (PES), polyetherketoner (PEK) og polyethersulfider (PES).
15. Formdele opnåelige af det ekspanderbare granulat ifølge krav 14, kendetegnet ved, at det har en densitet på 15 til 300 g/1 og en maksimal dimensionsforandring på maksimalt 3 % ved termisk belastning på i det mindste 130°C.
16. Sandwichstøbelegeme indeholdende en formdel ifølge krav 15 .
17. Anvendelse af en formdel ifølge krav 16 eller et sandwichlegeme ifølge krav 16 som isoleringsmateriale til tekniske anvendelser og til bygningsområdet eller som strukturelt skumelement til letvægtsbyggeri og sandwichanvendelser i byggeindustrien, i vindmølleanlæg, i automobilindustrien, i både- og skibsbygning, i møbelbygning og i messebygning.
