Claims (23)
1. Metode omfattende følgende trin: (a) transport af et modstandsreducerende middel af latex gennem en væskerør¬ledning med en længde på mindst ca. 500 feet (ca. 150 m) uden indføring afet separat ublandbart materiale, der letter strømning og har en lav viskositet,til periferien af rørledningen, idet det modstandsreducerende middel omfatteren kontinuerlig fase og et stort antal partikler af en polymer med høj molekyl¬vægt dispergeret i den kontinuerlige fase; og (b) indføring af det transporterede modstandsreducerende middel i væske, derstammer fra en underjordisk formation.
2. Metode til reducering af modstandskræfterne associeret med transport af en carbonhydridholdig væske gennem en undersøisk forbindelsesledning, hvilken metode omfatter følgende trin: (a) transport af et modstandsreducerende middel af latex fra en kontrolfacilitet tilet injektionspunkt i den undersøiske forbindelsesledning via en undersøiskforsyningsledning, idet kontrolfaciliteten og injektionspunktet er adskilt af enafstand på mindst 304,8 m (1.000 feet), og det modstandsreducerende middelomfatter en kontinuerlig fase inkluderende mindst ét overfladeaktivt middelmed høj HLB og mindst ét overfladeaktivt middel med lav HLB og et stort an¬tal partikler af en polymer med høj molekylvægt dispergeret i den kontinuerli¬ge fase; og (b) indføring af det transporterede modstandsreducerende middel i forbindelses¬ledningen ved injektionspunktet.
3. Metode til reducering af modstand i en forbindelsesledning, der transporterer en carbonhydridholdig væske, hvilken metode omfatter følgende trin: (a) transport af et modstandsreducerende middel gennem en væskerørledningmed en længde på mindst ca. 152 m (500 feet), idet det modstandsreduce¬rende middel omfatter en latex-emulsion inkluderende en mængde af partikleraf en modstandsreducerende polymer dannet ved en emulsionspolymerisa-tionsreaktion, polymeren har en vægtgennemsnitlig molekylvægt på mindstca. 1 x 106 g/moi, partiklerne har en gennemsnitlig partikelstørrelse på underca. 1000 nm, og latex-emulsionen er blevet modificeret ved tilsætning afmindst ét overfladeaktivt middel med lav HLB ; og (b) indføring af det transporterede modstandsreducerende middel i den carbon-hydridholdige væske.
4. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvorved den kontinuerlige fase af det modstandsredu¬cerende middel omfatter mindst ét overfladeaktivt middel med høj hydrofil-lipofil balan¬ce (HLB) og mindst ét overfladeaktivt middel med lav HLB.
5. Metode ifølge krav 3, hvorved det modstandsreducerende middel yderligereomfatter mindst ét overfladeaktivt middel med høj HLB med et HLB-tal på mindst ca. 8.
6. Metode ifølge krav 2 eller 4, hvorved det mindst ene overfladeaktive middelhar en høj HLB med et HLB-tal på mindst ca. 8.
7. Metode ifølge krav 5 eller 6, hvorved det mindst ene overfladeaktive middelmed høj HLB omfatter et eller flere overfladeaktive midler med høj HLB valgt blandtalkylsulfater, aikylethersulfater, diaikylsulfosuccinater, alkylphosphater, alkylarylsulfo-nater, sarcosinater. sorbitanestere, PEG-fedtsyreestere, ethoxylerede glycerolestere,ethoxylerede fede aminer, ethoxylerede sorbitanestere, blok-ethylenoxid/propylenoxid-overfladeaktive midler, alkohol/fedtsyreestere, ethoxylerede alkoholer, ethoxyleredefedtsyrer, alkoxylerede ricinusolien glycerolestere, lineære alkoholethoxylater og al-kylphenolethoxylater med høj HLB.
8. Metode ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 2, 3 eller 4, hvorved det mindstene overfladeaktive middel har en lav HLB med et HLB-tal på under ca. 6, især hvor¬ved det mindst ene overfladeaktive middel med lav HLB omfatter et eller flere overfla¬deaktive midler med lav HLB valgt blandt sorbitanestere, PEG-fedtsyreestere, ethoxy¬lerede glycerolestere, ethoxylerede fede aminer, ethoxylerede sorbitanestere, blok-ethylenoxid/propylenoxid-overfladeaktive midler, alkohol/fedtsyreestere, ethoxyleredealkoholer, ethoxylerede fedtsyrer, alkoxylerede ricinusolien glycerolestere, polyethy-lenglycoler, lineære alkoholethoxylater, alkylphenolethoxylater og olieopløselige poly¬mere emulgeringsmidler med lav HLB.
9. Metode ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvorved polymeren har en vægtgennemsnitligmolekylvægt på mindst ca. 1 x 106 g/mol, eller hvorved partiklerne har en gennemsnit¬lig partikelstørrelse på under ca. 1000 nm.
10. Metode ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1, 2 eller 3, hvorved mindst ca.95% af partiklerne har partikelstørrelser på mellem ca. 10 og 500 nm.
11. Metode ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvorved den kontinuerlige fase af det modstands¬reducerende middel er vandig.
12. Metode ifølge krav 3, hvorved det modstandsreducerende middel yderligereomfatter en kontinuerlig fase inkluderende mindst én komponent valgt blandt vand, enpolær organisk væske og blandinger deraf.
13. Metode ifølge krav 11 eller 12, hvorved det modstandsreducerende middelyderligere omfatter mindst ét opløsningsmiddel dispergeret i den kontinuerlige fase,især hvorved dette mindst ene opløsningsmiddel er valgt blandt aromatiske opløs¬ningsmidler, delvis og fuldt hydrogenerede opløsningsmidler, glycoler, glycolethere,estere, nitrogenholdige opløsningsmidler, aliphatiske og aromatiske alkoholer, ketoner,svovlholdige opløsningsmidler, tetrahyd rof uran, alkylhalogenider og kombinationerderaf.
14. Metode ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1, 2 eller 3, hvorved polymerenmed høj molekylvægt henholdsvis polymeren er dannet ved polymerisation af en ellerflere monomerer valgt blandt: (A)
hvori R, betyder H eller en Ch-C^-alkylgruppe, og R2 betyder H eller en Ci-C30-alkyl-gruppe; (B)
hvori R3 betyder CH=CH2 eller 0Η3-0=0Η2, og R4 betyder H eller en CrC3o-alkyl-gruppe; (C)

hvori R6 betyder H eller en C-,-C30-alkylgruppe; (E)
hvori R7 betyder H eller en CrCi8-alkylgruppe, og Rs betyder H eller en CrC18-alkyl-gruppe; (F)
hvori R9 og R10 uafhængigt betyder H, Ci-C30-a1kyl-, aryl-, cycloalkyl- eller heterocycli-ske grupper; (G)

15. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvorved det modstandsreducerende middel har en car-bonhydridopløsningshastighedskonstant på mindst ca. 0,004 min'1 i petroleum ved20°C eller en carbonhydridopløsningshastighedskonstant på mindst ca. 0,01 min'1 ipetroleum ved 40°C.
16. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvorved væsken transporteres i en forbindelsesledningunder trin (b), især hvorved væsken transporteres i en forbindelsesledning under trin(b), og forbindelsesledningen omfatter en carbonhydridholdig væske.
17. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvorved væskerørledningen er en undersøisk forsy¬ningsledning, især hvorved væskerørledningen er en undersøisk forsyningsledning, ogforsyningsledningen er mindst ca. 304,8 m (1000 feet) lang og omfatter et stort antalkemikalieinjektionsledninger, og det modstandsreducerende middel transporteresgennem mindst én af disse rørledninger med en maksimal indvendig diameter på ca.6,35 cm (2,5 inches) eller mindre.
18. Metode ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvorved det modstandsreducerende middel udvi¬ser et trykfald på under ca, 5 psi pr. feet (ca. 1,16 kg/cm2 pr. m) under trin (a).
19. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvorved væsken transporteres i en forbindelsesledningunder trin (b), trin (b) inkluderer tilvejebringelse af mindst ca. en 2% modstandsreduk¬tion i forbindelsesledningen, eller den kontinuerlige fase af det modstandsreducerendemiddel omfattende en polær organisk væske.
20. Metode ifølge krav 2, hvorved forsyningsledningen har en maksimal indvendigdiameter på ca. 6,25 cm (2,5 inches) eller mindre, især hvorved trin (b) inkluderer til¬vejebringelse af mindst ca. en 2% modstandsreduktion i forbindelsesledningen.
21. Metode ifølge krav 3, hvorved den carbonhydridholdige væske transporteres ien forbindelsesledning under trin (b), især hvorved væsken transporteres i en forbin¬delsesledning under trin (b), og trin (b) inkluderer tilvejebringelse af mindst ca. en 2%modstandsreduktion i forbindelsesledningen.
