Claims (6)

1. Proces til fremstilling af agaroseperler, som omfatter: (a) at opvarme en vandig agaroseopløsning til en temperatur over geldannelsespunktet for agarosen; (b) at tilsætte den opvarmede opløsning til en første hydrofobisk væske, der indeholder en emulgator, som stabiliserer vand i olie, hvorved væsken er opvarmet til en temperatur, sådan at den resulterende emulsion er ved eller over geldannelsestemperaturen for agaroseopløsningen og har en kontinuert og en diskontinuert fase, hvori den hydrofobiske væske er den kontinuerte fase, og agaroseopløsningen er den diskontinuerte fase; (c) at lade emulsionen strømme igennem en mixer for at danne små agarosedråber; (d) at tilsætte de små dråber til en anden, hydrofobisk væske, der er afkølet til en temperatur, som er under den for geldannelsespunktet for agarosen for at gelere de små agarosedråber til perler; og (e) at indvinde agaroseperlerne fra den anden væske, kendetegnet ved, at processen er kontinuerlig, og at mixeren, der anvendes i trin (c), er en statisk mixer.
2. Proces ifølge krav 1, hvorved i) den første væske er ved en temperatur på fra 80 °C til 120 °C, og den anden væske er ved en temperatur fra 1 °C til 70 °C, eller ii) hvorved emulsionen fra trin (d) lades strømme igennem den statiske mixer ved en hastighed fra 1 til 10 1/min, eller iii) hvorved strømningen igennem den statiske mixer er fra 50 1/h til 600 1/h, eller iv) hvorved agarosen er i en koncentration på fra 1 til 25 % efter vægt i den vandige opløsning, eller v) den yderligere omfatter at anvende omrystning på den første væske, eller vi) den yderligere omfatter at vaske agaroseperlerne fra trin (d), eller vii) den yderligere omfatter at krydsforbinde agaroseperlerne fra trin (d), eller viii) den yderligere omfatter at vaske agaroseperlerne fra trin (d) med vand og så at krydsforbinde perlerne.
3. Proces ifølge krav 1, der yderligere omfatter trinnene af: (f) at krydsforbinde agaroseperlerne fra trin (e) ; (g) at danne en anden vandig opløsning af agarose og at opvarme den anden opløsning til en temperatur over geldannelsespunktet for den anden agarose; (h) at tilsætte agaroseperlerne fra trin (f) til den anden opløsning; (i) at tilsætte perlerne og opløsningen fra trin (h) til en tredje, hydrofobisk væske, som indeholder en emulgator, hvorved den tredje væske er opvarmet til en temperatur, sådan at den resulterende emulsion er ved eller over geldannelsestemperaturen for den anden agaroseopløsning og har en kontinuert og diskontinuert fase, hvori den tredje, hydrofobiske væske er den kontinuerte fase, og perlerne og den anden agaroseopløsning fra trin (h) er den diskontinuerte fase; (j) at pumpe emulsionen fra trin (i) igennem en anden statisk mixer og ind i en fjerde, hydrofobisk væske, som er afkølet til en temperatur, der er under den for geldannelsespunktet for agarosen i den anden opløsning for at danne en overtrækning af den anden agaroseopløsning på agaroseperlerne fra trin (f); og (k) at indvinde de overtrukne agaroseperler fra trin (j) fra væsken fra den fjerde væske, og valgfrit (l) at gentage trinnene (f) til (k) på de overtrukne perler fra trin (k) én eller flere yderligere gange.
4. Proces til fremstilling af overtrukne agaroseperler, som omfatter: (a) at opvarme en vandig agaroseopløsning, der indeholder en flerhed af faste perler, til en temperatur over geldannelsespunktet for agarosen; (b) at tilsætte den opvarmede opløsning fra trin (a) til en første, hydrofobisk væske og en emulgator, der stabiliserer vand i olie, som er opvarmet til en temperatur ved eller over den for opløsningen fra trin (a) til at danne en emulsion, der har en kontinuert og diskontinuert fase, hvori den hydrofobiske væske og emulgatoren er den kontinuerte fase, og agaroseopløsningen og de faste perler er den diskontinuerte fase; (c) at lade emulsionen fra trin (b) strømme igennem en statisk mixer for at danne små dråber af agarose og faste perler; (d) at lade de små dråber fra trin (c) strømme ind i en anden, hydrofobisk væske, der er afkølet til en temperatur, som er under den for geldannelsespunktet for agarosen, for at danne en geleret overtrækning på de faste perler; og (e) at indvinde de overtrukne perler fra trin (d) fra væsken i det andet bad, kendetegnet ved, at processen er kontinuerlig, og at mixeren, der anvendes i trin (d), er en statisk mixer.
5. Apparat til at fremstille perler, der omfatter agarose, idet apparatet er kendetegnet ved at omfatte: et første kar (4) til at opløse agarose i en vandig opløsning, idet det første kar er i stand til at blive opvarmet til en temperatur, der er ved eller over et geldannelsespunkt for agarose; et indløb til det første kar til indførelse af den vandige opløsning; et første bad (8) til at indeholde en hydrofobisk væske og en emulgator; et første indløb til det første bad for den hydrofobiske væske; et andet indløb til det første bad for opløsningen fra det første kar, idet det andet indløb er i fluid forbindelse med det første kar; et udløb fra det første bad, der er i fluid forbindelse med et indløb til en statisk mixer (12); et udløb fra den statiske mixer, der er i fluid forbindelse med et indløb til et andet bad (16) til at indeholde en hydrofobisk væske, idet det andet bad er i stand til at blive opretholdt ved en temperatur under gedannelsespunktet for agarose; og et udløb fra det andet bad, idet apparatet er i stand til anvendelse på en kontinuerlig måde.
6. Apparat ifølge krav 5 til at fremstille perler overtrukket med agarose, hvori det første kar (4) indbefatter organer til at blande den opløste agaroseopløsning med en flerhed af perlekerner.
