Claims (10)

1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en polymer af en ethylenisk umættet monomer, hvilken monomer er (meth)acrylamid, hvor monomeren er opnået fra en biokatalyseret reaktion, hvor den ethylenisk umættede monomer er fremstillet ved tilvejebringelse af et substrat, der kan omdannes til den ethylenisk umættede monomer, hvilket substrat er (meth)acrylnitril, etablering af kontakt mellem substratet og en biokatalysator, hvilken biokatalysator omfatter cellemateriale i form af hele celler eller nedbrudte celler og fermenteringssuppe, og derved omdannelse af substratet til den ethylenisk umættede monomer i nærvær af cellematerialet og fermenteringssuppen, hvilken biokatalysator omfatter et nitrilhydrataseenzym, dannelse af polymeren ved hjælp af polymerisering af den ethylenisk umættede monomer eller en monomerblanding, der omfatter den ethylenisk umættede monomer, hvor der ikke sker fjernelse af cellematerialet og fermenteringssuppen fra den ethylenisk umættede monomer.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor cellematerialet omfatter hele celler.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor cellematerialet omfatter nedbrudt cellemateriale.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 3, hvor det nedbrudte cellemateriale er udvalgt fra gruppen, der består af cellevægsmateriale, cellemembranmateriale, cellekernemateriale, cytoplasma og proteiner.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, hvor polymeren er en vandopløselig polymer med høj molekylvægt, der fremviser en iboende viskositet (IV) på mindst 3 dl/g (målt ved anvendelse af et suspenderet niveau-viskosimeter i 1 M natriumchlorid ved 25 °C).
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, hvor polymeren er en homopolymer eller copolymer af (meth)acrylamid.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor substratet indføres i en beholder og bringes i kontakt med biokatalysatoren, og hvor substratet omdannes til den ethylenisk umættede monomer, eventuelt indførelse af andre monomerer i beholderen til frembringelse af en monomerblanding, udsættelse af den ethylenisk umættede monomer eller monomerblandingen for polymeriseringsbetingelser, eventuelt ved indførelse af initiatorer i beholderen, og derved dannelse af polymeren inde i beholderen.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, hvor biokatalysatoren fremstilles i beholderen.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 8, hvor biokatalysatoren omfatter mikroorganismer fra Rhodococcus-slæqten, fortrinsvis arten Rhodococcus rhodochrous.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 9, hvor mikroorganismen er Rhodococcus rhodochrous NCIMB 41164.
