Opfindelsen angår en fremgangsmåde til optegnelse og/eller gengivelse af digitalt kodede signaler, navnlig digitale videosignaler på vilkårlige lagermedier, med en datahastighed, der er reduceret i forhold til den data-5 hastighed, der faktisk er nødvendig til gengivelse af et billede, og som bl.a. opnås ved interframe- og intra-frame-kodning, jfr. f.eks. JP-A-57166785, Patents Abstracts of Japan, Vol.7, nr.8 (E-152) (1153), 13.1.1983.
Til optegnelse af digitale farvebilleder, der in-10 deholder ca. 216 Mbit/s rådata, er det for en smalbåndet kanal, som den f.eks. udgøres af en videorecorder, nødvendigt at reducere de data, der skal optegnes. Til datareduktion kendes bl.a. følgende fremgangsmåder.
1. Intraframekodede billeder. Her reduceres et bil- 15 ledes indhold på den måde, at den information, der skal overføres, reduceres for redundante og/eller irrelevante andele.
2. Interframekodede billeder. Ved denne kodning optegnes kun forskellene mellem efter hinanden 20 følgende billeder.
Ulempen ved den intraframekodede optegnelse ligger i, at billedkvaliteten ved en fordret datahastighed, som skal optegnes, på 10-15 Mbit/s er meget dårlig. Der optegnes mindre end 10 % af informationen.
25 Ulempen ved den interframekodede optegnelse lig ger i, at det ikke er muligt at begynde med gengivelsen et vilkårligt sted i optegnelsen, fordi informationen kun er relativ. Udgangsbilledet mangler.
Opfindelsen har til opgave at angive en optegnel-30 sesfremgangsmåde, som forener datareduktionsfordelene ved intraframe- og interframe-kodning, og som samtidigt gør det muligt at foretage hurtige søgninger samt in-sert-snit.
Denne opgave løses med de i krav 1 angivne foran-35 staltninger. Fordelagtige videreudviklinger af opfindelsen er angivet i underkravene.

Claims (4)

1. Fremgangsmåde til optegnelse og/eller gengivelse af digitalt kodede signaler, navnlig digitale videosignaler på magnetbånd med en datahastighed, der er 35 reduceret i forhold til den faktisk nødvendige datahastighed til gengivelse af et billede, og som blandt andet ΐ>Κ 166597 B1 3 opnås ved* interframe- og intraframe-kodning, kendetegnet ved, at begyndelsen af en billedsekvens (23) bestemmes ved et intraframe-kodet billede (1) med fast eller variabel bloklængde, og at der dertil slutter 5 sig et antal interframe-kodede billeder (2-10) med et fast antal billeder og variabel bloklængde eller et variabelt antal billeder og fast bloklængde.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, kendetegne t ved, at begyndelsen af en billedsekvens (23) in- 10 dikeres ved en intraframe-identifikation (S).
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 6, kendetegnet ved, at intraframe-identifikationen (S) er optegnet i et eget spor.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, kendeteg-15 net ved, at hvert billede (1-10) i begyndelsen udviser et billedsynkroniseringssignal (12-21).
