Durch derartige längs der Faserrichtung angeordnete Folienstreifen wird einerseits die Zugfestigkeit der Stoffbahn bzw. eines aus ihr hergestellten Sackes erhöht und die, Dehnbarkeit noch mehr vermindert. Andererseits lassen sich die Stoffbahnen bzw. Säcke in, diesen Längsstreifen falten und zusammenlegen, so· daß eine Verletzung des Faservlieses durch, sonstige Faltung und Kantenbildung vermieden wird.
