Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a web material formed from a woven fabric, as well as a web material made from a woven fabric and a sack made therefrom.
Due to manufacturing inaccuracies, it is not improbable that ribbons that run through the fabric essentially transversely to a longitudinal extension of the web material—also referred to as weft ribbons—and the tear lines run at an angle to one another. As a result, when web sections are torn from the web material at the tear lines, weft ribbons can be unthreaded from the fabric and then protrude from the web sections. If the web sections are tubular, they are usually processed into sacks. However, customers are reluctant to accept sacks with protruding ribbons, since many customers associate the sacks with protruding ribbons and the associated unsightly appearance of low-quality sacks, although the function of the sacks is not impaired as a result.
Although there is the possibility of covering the web sections with an additional layer of material, such as an OPP film, in order to reduce the likelihood of ribbons unthreading when they are torn off, this additional coating is expensive and therefore not always desirable.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a web material and a method for producing such a web material that avoids the disadvantages of the prior art and from which web sections can be torn without individual ribbons protruding significantly.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a method for producing web material with the features of
With the method according to the invention, a web material formed from a woven fabric can be produced, the web material being divided into web sections by tear lines extending across the width of the web material and the tear lines weakening the web material, but not causing the web sections to be completely separated from the web material, but rather the web sections can be separated from the web material along the tear lines by tearing off by exerting tensile forces. Each tear line has at least one transverse section running entirely or at least predominantly transversely to the longitudinal extent of the web material. According to the method according to the invention, spaced cuts are made in the fabric on the at least one transverse section of the tear line in the longitudinal direction of the web material or at an angle to the transverse section of the tear line, with at least some of the cuts being connected to only one transverse section.
The term "transverse section of the tear line running transversely or at least predominantly transversely to the longitudinal extent of the web material" is to be understood as meaning that this transverse section extends in a straight or curved line or a combination of straight or curved lines. "Transverse section running transversely to the longitudinal extension of the web material" means that such a transverse section essentially (ie apart from unavoidable manufacturing and material tolerances) runs at an angle of 90° to the longitudinal extension of the material web. The term "transverse section predominantly transverse to the length of the sheet material" defines that the transverse section in its entirety runs more transversely to the length of the sheet material than in the length of the sheet material. This means that if such a transverse section is a straight line that is at an angle to the longitudinal extension of the web material, then this oblique line is in an angular range greater than 45° and less than 90° to the longitudinal extension of the web material. If such a cross section from a curved line or a combination of straight and/or curved line sections, a tangent at each point of the transverse section should have an angular range greater than 45° and less than 90° to the longitudinal extension of the web material.
By making spaced-apart cuts in the fabric on the at least one transverse section of the tear-off line in the longitudinal direction of the web material or at an angle to the transverse section of the tear-off line, with at least some of the cuts being connected to only one transverse section, these cuts at least subdivide the ribbon closest to the tear line into individual pieces, possibly also several of the ribbons closest to the tear line. In a tubular fabric made by a circular loom, the divided wales are the weft wales of the fabric. Due to the subdivision, those parts of the band(s) that may be unthreaded from the web material when web sections are torn off are only very short, so that they do not stand out unsightly. This improves the visual appearance of the web sections after the web material has been torn off.
If the tear line is just a straight line across the tape material, then that tear line consists of a single transverse section. If the tear line is a stepped line, e.g. for the production of stepped gusset bags, this tear line has at least two transverse sections and a longitudinal section connecting the transverse sections. However, it should be noted that such a longitudinal section should not be confused with the cuts according to the invention in the transverse sections of the tear-off lines, since these cuts have a completely different function than the longitudinal sections of the tear-off line. An essential feature of the cuts according to the invention at the transverse sections of the tear line is that they do not connect two adjacent transverse sections of the tear line.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the cuts are made in the tissue in such a way that the cuts only extend in one of two adjacent web sections. Alternatively, according to the invention, the cuts can also be made in the fabric in such a way that the cuts extend on both sides of a tear line in adjacent web sections. In the latter variant, protruding strips are avoided both at the end of one track section and at the end of the other track section.
The cuts are advantageously introduced into the tissue over a length of at least one ribbon width. A length of one ribbon width is necessary for cuts that only extend in one of two web sections divided by a tear line, in order to reliably sever a ribbon lying closest to the tear line and to prevent the ribbon from sticking out. If the cuts are made in the fabric in such a way that the cuts extend in both web sections divided by a tear line, the cuts are advantageously at least two ribbon widths long.
The cuts are expediently made in the tissue at a distance of four to ten ribbon widths from one another. The smaller the distance chosen, the shorter the protruding ribbon pieces.
The cuts are preferably made in the tissue by means of a laser, a mechanical cutting device or a punching device. The cuts of a tear line are either already made in the sheet material before the sheet material is provided with the tear line, or, alternatively, while the sheet material is provided with the tear line or only after the sheet material has been provided with the tear line.
Advantageously, the web material according to the invention is formed by a fabric formed into a tube, with pieces of tubing torn from the web material being formed into a sack, such as a so-called "pinch bottom" sack for bulk goods. By preventing long protruding ribbons, such sacks have a high-quality appearance and are therefore very well received.
The fabric is preferably formed by woven strips of polyethylene, polypropylene and/or polyethylene terephthalate.
The web material can also comprise two or more layers of material, with at least one layer of material being a woven fabric. At least one of the material layers of the web material is advantageously formed from polyethylene, polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate.
Further advantageous embodiments of the method according to the invention and of the web material according to the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the figures.
The tear-
The
According to the invention, cuts 8 spaced apart from one another are formed in the fabric 1a at the

The

It should be mentioned that the course of the
For example, sacks for loose material can be folded from the
