Description
Resin-containing mineral oil spinning melts Textile fiber material is used before the spinning, treated with so-called lubricants to give it the required To give suppleness and adhesiveness and at the same time fiber losses during to reduce the spinning process. Olive oil is used as a lubricant, Peanut oil, olein and mineral oils used in aqueous dispersion.
Achieving good, but non-sticky, adhesion of the fibers to each other is desirable. Increasing this property increases the strength and evenness of the yarns, so there, ß possibly the number of twists of the yarns reduced and thereby production can be increased. It is known that In particular, highly disperse silica has proven itself as an additive to lubricants.
It has now been found that the addition of dispersions of resins, 80% and more of which are in unsaponified form, to common lubricants before or during their use, the adhesion of the fibers to one another is significantly improved and thus the effect achieved by the common lubricants.
These dispersions are even with resin contents up to q.00 / 0 and more fluid. They can be mixed with the usual lubricant dispersions without difficulty will.
As resins which are used in the form of the dispersions described can be mentioned: Natural resins, especially rosin, hard resins, such as copal and others, synthetic resins of the nature of natural resin, in particular glyptal resins. Chemically modified natural resins, e.g. B. hydrogenated resin are useful.
Although it is already known, finishing agents and sizing agents, resins and resin-like products such as tall oil; to be attached, but with the substances used emulsified or dissolved together after prior mixing. It was also proposed to use resins in the production of mineral oil smelts, where the resin together with the mineral oil and other emulsifying substances, such as olein, sulforicinate, mixed homogeneously and this mixture is then dispersed. This creates a dispersion in which the disperse phase is a uniform mixture of substances is present.
In contrast, the inventive foams are characterized in that their disperse substance consists of several unmixed dispersoids which are present next to one another; They contain liquid mineral oil in addition to solid resin in colloidal form. The characteristic of the present process is therefore that mixtures of separately prepared dispersions are used, one of which is a resin dispersion. This ensures that the characteristic properties of the resin, which particularly affect the grip, adhesion and sliding properties of the fibers, come into their own. In the case of the melting process, which is known to be carried out at temperatures below the melting point of the resin, there is a fundamentally different behavior compared to the resin-containing coatings of the known type. Due to their oily character, these are distributed evenly in and on the treated fiber material. In the case of the melts according to the invention, on the other hand, the liquid mineral oil is preferably absorbed by the fiber and causes the fiber to be flexible; the disperse "dry", ie non-sticky resin, on the other hand, remains as a coating on the fibers and gives them increased adhesion to one another, which results in increased yarn strength. The resin dispersions used according to the process contain predominantly unsaponified resin. Example 500 kg of cotton (waste mixture) are malted a) with 12.5 kg of mineral oil malts, b) with 12.5 kg of the same mineral oil malts with the addition of goo g of a 30% dispersion of resin (rosin, 95% free resin).
Bei der Verarbeitung der. Partien ergab sich bei a) ein Verlust als Krempelflug von 33,7 kg=6,4a/0, bei b) ein Verlust als Krempelflug von 24,2 kg = q.,840/0.When processing the. Games resulted in a) a loss as a card flight of 33.7 kg = 6.4a / 0, with b) a loss as a card flight of 24.2 kg = q., 840/0.
The self-actuators showed that part b) was clearly better was processable and the same.-more moderate yarns with a greatly reduced number of thread breaks revealed.
